Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 166: Chapter 166: The First Five-Year Plan and Publicly Flaunting Their Love

”Focused on gaming?”

Wang Shouren frowned slightly, voicing his concern. ”President Gu, while there’s a huge gap in the gaming industry right now, most companies are taking the game development route. Will people really watch live streams of games?”

Gu Yifan smiled when he heard Wang Shouren’s words.

Others might not know, but as a Reincarnator, he certainly knew how the live streaming industry would evolve over the next few decades!

For one thing, ACFUN’s live streaming broadcast, which would be renamed Douyu TV next year, was already raking in money hand over fist!

Even niche platforms like Kuxiu Live and Feihuo Live were currently in full swing, pulling in cash like crazy.

Between ’14 and ’15, all sorts of live streaming platforms would spring up like mushrooms after rain, all desperately trying to squeeze into this market.

Among these platforms, the most popular would be the gaming-focused Douyu and Panda Live, which would emerge as a dark horse in ’15!

It was precisely because of this live streaming platform that the young Wang, later known as the ”influencer collector,” would constantly generate buzz and remain in the public eye.

Those few years were his most flamboyant and high-profile moments in the spotlight!

Although game streaming would later be dominated by newer platforms like Kuaishou and TikTok, the frenzy of those years was proof enough that a comprehensive platform centered on gaming—but also integrating otaku culture, talent shows, tech, outdoors, sports, music, and movies—was indeed a successful model!

And now, what Gu Yifan planned to do was replicate the Douyu Live model from his past life, using it as a springboard to carve out a path in the age of internet traffic.

However, Gu Yifan didn’t say any of this, nor did he need to.

After all, he was the only one who knew about these future events. Others probably wouldn’t believe him even if he told them, so there was no point wasting his breath.

Seeing Gu Yifan smile without saying anything, Wang Shouren, though still doubtful, felt it wasn’t his place to ask further.

After a moment, Gu Yifan came back to himself.

He turned to Su Qinghe and said, ”Hanhan, that thing I asked you to put in the bag, could you get it for me?”

”Oh, okay.”

Su Qinghe nodded obediently.

She then opened the briefcase she was carrying and took out a thick document, handing it to Gu Yifan.

Gu Yifan took the document and placed it directly in front of Wang Shouren.

”Old Wang, this is the business plan I put together. Take a look.”

His tone was calm.

”Oh, right.”

”Yes, Boss.”

Wang Shouren didn’t catch himself in time, habitually calling Gu Yifan ”Boss” instead of ”President Gu.”

Gu Yifan didn’t mind. It was just a title, after all. What he was called didn’t matter.

”The First Five-Year Plan...”

Wang Shouren picked up the document from the table, his eyes lighting up slightly as he unconsciously muttered the words aloud.

As he began to read, it wasn’t long before he was completely captivated by the plan detailed in the file!

His brow furrowed and then relaxed in turn.

He was utterly shocked by the contents of the document!

Seeing his reaction, Gu Yifan just smiled, saying nothing. He sipped his tea casually, waiting for him to finish reading.

Something suddenly occurred to him, and he turned to Su Qinghe at his side. ”Hey, Hanhan!”

”Hm?”

Hearing him call her name, Su Qinghe asked, a little puzzled, ”Wh-what is it?”

”Hmm... this business talk might take a while. If you’re bored, you can go to the break room in the back to play on your phone or rest for a bit. I’ll come find you when I’m done!”

Gu Yifan said after a moment’s thought.

Su Qinghe froze for a second, then gently shook her head.

”I’ll be very quiet.”

Her voice was a whisper.

”Er...”

Gu Yifan was taken aback for a moment, but then he understood what Su Qinghe meant, and he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

”Silly girl, I don’t think you’re in the way. The things we’re discussing are just really dry, and I was afraid you’d be bored.”

”If you want to stay here with me, that’s fine too.”

Gu Yifan reached out and gently ruffled her hair, his voice soft and tender.

Hearing Gu Yifan’s explanation, a faint smile finally appeared on Su Qinghe’s face.

”Mhm~”

She nodded vigorously, then said softly, ”I’ll stay here with you.”

”Okay!”

Gu Yifan nodded with a smile.

Then he couldn’t resist reaching out to pinch her cheek.

Just then, Wang Shouren finished his quick scan of the document!

”Boss, you’re a business genius!”

He couldn’t help but exclaim, his face flush with excitement.

”Boss, I...”

GULP...

But as soon as he looked up, his expression froze, and the words on the tip of his tongue died in his throat.

He quickly lowered his head, pretending he hadn’t seen a thing.

’This must be my future lady boss!’

He’d been curious about her earlier, but since Gu Yifan hadn’t made an introduction, he felt it wasn’t his place to ask.

But right now, he was suffering inwardly!

’My boss and the lady boss are flaunting their relationship right in front of a single old guy like me. Are they trying to kill me?!’

...

Wang Shouren’s voice, however, reminded Su Qinghe that they weren’t alone. Her face flushed a faint red, and she felt incredibly shy and embarrassed.

”Ahem~”

Gu Yifan also let out a couple of fake coughs to cover his own embarrassment.

He looked at Wang Shouren and said, ”Old Wang, you’re done reading, right?”

He had a perfectly serious expression, as if nothing had just happened.

Wang Shouren couldn’t help but give him a thumbs-up in his mind.

’As expected of my boss!’

’This composure is rock solid!’

Composing himself, Wang Shouren couldn’t resist asking again, ”Boss, did you create this five-year plan yourself?”

”Yes.”

Gu Yifan gave a slight nod.

HISS...

Wang Shouren couldn’t stop himself from sucking in a sharp breath.

”Boss, I have to say, in all my years in this industry, you’re the person with the sharpest business instincts I have ever met!”

He laid on the flattery so thick that even Su Qinghe, who was sitting to the side, couldn’t help but give him a strange look.

”Er...”

Gu Yifan was exasperated by his flattery.

He waved his hand. ”Alright, that’s enough of the empty talk!”

”Old Wang, if I gave you ten million in startup capital, could you execute this five-year plan?”

”Hm?”

Wang Shouren’s eyes lit up at Gu Yifan’s words!

”I can!”

”Of course I can!”

”Five million... no, eight million would be enough!”

”Just give me eight million, and I guarantee I’ll get the job done!”

Wang Shouren declared, patting his chest in assurance.

”No need. Let’s stick with ten million.”

Gu Yifan said with a wave of his hand.

At this point, his tone shifted. He looked at Wang Shouren with a serious expression and said, ”However, I have one condition. Within three months, I want to see our own live streaming platform go online. Can you do that?”

Wang Shouren was dumbfounded.
