Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 173: Chapter 173: The Domineering and Jealous Mr. Gu

Gu Yifan said nothing, so Su Qinghe simply stared at him, unblinking.

”Uh...”

Unable to bear her earnest, stubborn gaze, Gu Yifan gave a helpless, awkward smile. ”Okay, okay. I won’t be mean anymore, and I won’t bully you. Is that good enough for you?”

”Your tone is wrong, and so is your attitude.”

Su Qinghe pouted, clearly unsatisfied with his tone and attitude.

Gu Yifan: ”...-_-||”

PFFT—

Seeing the helpless, defeated look on Gu Yifan’s face, Su Qinghe couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Seeing her act like this, Gu Yifan immediately knew. ’This Hanhan is doing this on purpose to get back at me!’

His expression darkened. He suddenly lunged forward, pinning Su Qinghe beneath him.

”Ahh—!”

Caught completely off guard, Su Qinghe cried out. She turned her head to see Gu Yifan’s handsome face just inches away, and her cheeks instantly flushed crimson.

”So, Su Hanhan, you’ve gotten bold, have you? Daring to mess with me?!”

”Today, I’m going to show you who’s boss!”

With a dark expression, Gu Yifan leaned down and whispered menacingly in her ear.

”D-don’t...”

Su Qinghe was frightened by his tone and quickly stammered.

”Don’t?”

Gu Yifan raised an eyebrow.

”Mm-hmm!”

Su Qinghe nodded vigorously.

”So, do you admit you were wrong?!”

Gu Yifan said coolly, lightly pinching the nape of her neck.

”I... I was wrong.”

Su Qinghe stammered, her face bright red.

”If you were wrong, then will you agree to be my girlfriend?”

Gu Yifan asked again, his tone ”menacing.”

”Mmm...”

Su Qinghe’s face flushed red again as she let out a hum, barely louder than a whisper.

”What’s that supposed to mean?”

Gu Yifan couldn’t help but roll his eyes. ”It’s a simple yes or no question,” he said irritably. ”You’re making it sound like I’m forcing you!”

”I... I agree.”

Su Qinghe said shyly.

”That’s more like it!”

Gu Yifan nodded in satisfaction. ”Good... From now on, you, Su Hanhan, are my, Gu Yifan’s, girlfriend. And from this day forward, I, your boyfriend, will have your back!”

Su Qinghe: ”...-_-||”

’This... sounds a bit strange, doesn’t it? Almost like we’re swearing a blood oath or something.’

’Not romantic at all!’

Su Qinghe silently grumbled to herself about this ”Big Bully,” Gu Yifan.

But!

’From this moment on, I’m really not alone anymore. Dad, Mom, Grandma... can you see me now?’

’I’m doing so well. With him by my side, I’m so happy...’

MWAH!

Just as Su Qinghe was lost in her thoughts, Gu Yifan leaned down and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Su Qinghe was too stunned to react at first. She turned her head and stared at Gu Yifan in shock.

”Hey, what kind of look is that?”

Gu Yifan shot her a glance and said shamelessly, ”I’m kissing my own girlfriend. Is there a problem with that?”

Su Qinghe: ”...”

...

Time slipped by quietly, carried on the ceaseless drone of the August cicadas.

「August 22nd, the first day of classes at Jinling University, arrived right on schedule.」

At nine in the morning, the Jinling University admissions office called to ask when Gu Yifan would be arriving so they could arrange for a staff member to pick him up.

It couldn’t be helped.

’This was the special treatment reserved for the top scorer of the college entrance exam!’

”Su Hanhan, are you ready yet?”

In their hotel room, Gu Yifan called out to Su Qinghe, who was still in the bathroom doing God knows what.

”C-coming...”

Su Qinghe quickly called back. Another minute or two passed before she finally emerged from the bathroom.

”I’m ready,”

she said softly.

Hearing her voice, Gu Yifan turned to look at her.

The sight of her left Gu Yifan completely stunned.

She was wearing a slim-fitting white dress that was both elegant and playfully chic.

Delicate pleats adorned the dress, catching the light and shimmering with a gorgeous luster.

The hem was adorned with a delicate watercolor floral print that seemed to evoke the scent of fresh blossoms. Paired with a set of dainty white heels, it made her legs look even more slender and alluring.

Her long, slightly curled hair fell loosely over her shoulders, perfectly complementing the outfit and accentuating her gentle temperament and refined taste.

She looked as if she had stepped out of a serene and beautiful fairytale, full of hope and anticipation for the life that lay ahead.

Gu Yifan was captivated.

Gu Yifan had taken her to buy this dress the day after they officially got together. But they had bought so many clothes that day that Su Qinghe hadn’t tried everything on; for most items, Gu Yifan had just given her measurements to the salesclerk and had them bagged up.

So, this was the first time he was seeing her in this particular outfit.

And it had to be said, he was truly stunned by how good she looked.

When Su Qinghe saw Gu Yifan staring at her, her face instantly flushed scarlet.

Even though they were officially a couple now, she was still just as prone to blushing as ever.

Gu Yifan admired her for a moment before a thought struck him, and his brow furrowed slightly.

Seeing his sudden frown, Su Qinghe grew even more nervous.

”D-does it not look good?”

she asked in a small, weak voice, her cheeks flushed.

”It looks great!”

”But you should change into something else.”

Gu Yifan said.

”Huh?”

His words left Su Qinghe even more confused.

”It’s because it looks *too* good. I don’t want you going out dressed like that,” Gu Yifan said flatly.

Su Qinghe: ”...-_-||”

She immediately understood. He was jealous!

’What a possessive guy!’

She gave Gu Yifan a peculiar look, thinking to herself.

”Go on, change.”

Gu Yifan simply ignored her peculiar look and said coolly.

”Okay, okay.”

Su Qinghe pouted but nodded obediently.

...

「A few minutes later.」

Su Qinghe emerged from the bathroom in a new outfit.

This time, she hadn’t worn a dress. Instead, she had on a loose, white short-sleeved t-shirt and a pair of high-waisted blue jeans that made her legs look long and slender. With a pair of white canvas sneakers on her feet, her whole look was pure and tinged with a hint of cuteness.

Her large eyes were as clear as lake water, and her delicate, arched brows were long and fine. Her soft hair cascaded down, making her look like a blooming jasmine flower. Her gentle aura was so captivating one couldn’t look away.

Gu Yifan still couldn’t help but furrow his brow.

”Wh-what is it?”

Seeing him still frowning, Su Qinghe said weakly, ”Is... is this one no good either?”

”It’s fine, it’s fine!”

Gu Yifan said, still frowning, ”It’s just... what am I supposed to do if I suddenly don’t want to let you leave the house?”

”Huh?”

Su Qinghe tilted her head, looking at him in confusion. ”Why not?”

”Don’t ask so many questions!”

”You’re too beautiful. I don’t want other guys to see you when you go out. Is that a problem?”

Gu Yifan glared at her and snapped.

Su Qinghe: ”...-_-||”
