I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 465, Sand Everywhere

He asked this question because he wanted to see if it was due to the differences between the two regions.

That might explain why they looked different and even spoke with slightly different accents.

Because back on Earth, things were like this too. On a smaller scale, people from the south and north of Earth had differences. On a larger scale, Caucasians, Asians, and Blacks were also different from one another.

The purple haired girl had been staring at Su Bai with her purple eyes for quite some time before finally saying, “There aren’t many trees there.”

The simple sentence ended there, filled with a thick accent.

“Not many trees? Then what’s everywhere in your place?” Su Bai asked with confusion.

There were many regions without many trees, such as deserts, grasslands, or snowy mountains and rocky areas. He guessed the purple haired girl was probably referring to one of these places. If combined with these locations, then the girl’s appearance would make sense. After all, those places were really unlike this area, with so many trees and water sources to nourish the people. Thus, their appearances would inevitably have some differences.

“Sand everywhere. Who are you?” the purple haired girl asked, summoning all her courage. She could be said to have conceded her life at this moment, after all, she was now bound and could not do anything.

Moreover, the other party’s strength was formidable, otherwise they would not have subdued them all in such a short time.

Although she had been captured, she still wanted to know who they were, as their appearance and style were completely different from her own.

[Sand everywhere? A desert?] Su Bai thought to himself, then looked up and said, “Who we are isn’t important. What’s important is if you are hungry?”

The purple haired girl nodded without hesitation and said, “Very hungry. We haven’t eaten anything all day.”

“Why are you here then? Weren’t you supposed to be on the other side of the river?” Su Bai asked.

If they had come from the other side of the great river, it meant they also had a chance to go over. People of this Era could not possibly have built boats, so if they could cross to the other side of the great river without building a boat, that would be great news.

“We floated across. Something happened…” The purple haired girl’s voice suddenly stopped.

Clearly, she did not want to say too much. This matter had obviously traumatised her.

“Well, if you don’t want to talk about it, that’s fine. Let’s eat something first,” Su Bai said softly.

He could sense that these people did not hold any ill-intent. People in this era were all just after food.

The purple haired girl was stunned and repeatedly asked in disbelief, “Is what you’re saying true?”

This was the first time she had heard of someone giving food to people who had attacked them. It was simply incredible.

“Of course. You don’t want to eat?” Su Bai deliberately said.

“Yes, of course I want to eat!” The purple haired girl nodded.

Sha Lan was stunned and also doubted if she had heard correctly, asking, “Shaman, is what you’re saying true?”

Sha Lan was shocked. After all, didn’t the other party try to harm them? Why would they give them food?

“It’s alright, give them food. They did not hold any bad intentions.” Su Bai said.

Sha Lan sighed and had no choice but to get food for them, but she did not untie them.

After receiving the food, the purple haired girl was completely satisfied and began to heartily eat.

“Shaman, they attacked us. Why are we giving them food to eat?” Yan Hua asked, puzzled. She truly did not understand, and she wanted to kill them.

“They hold no ill-intentions against us. In the meantime, there is much we can learn from them.” Su Bai said softly.

He was calculating quite a lot in his mind. He not only wanted to understand what the situation was like on the other side, but also wanted to know if there were many people there.

If there were many people there, and they were not busy and lacked food, he could bring them over. They would be the best labourers.

Moreover, seeing how quickly the purple haired girls ate, and how hearty they were, plus the fact that it was a vast desert over there, resources must be scarce. If he gave them some benefits, they would definitely be willing to come and work for him.

“Shaman, they are too dangerous. I think we should eliminate them,” Ye Jiu said.

Them intentionally hiding earlier clearly demonstrated this point. They had intended to kill them.

“Just wait a moment. After they finish eating, I’ll ask a few more questions.” Su Bai raised his hand.

He still believed in his judgment that these people held no ill-intent.

Although the girls did not understand, they had to listen since the Shaman had spoken.

Twenty minutes later, the purple haired girls had wolfed down all the food offered.

Then, they looked completely satisfied. After eating, one hand was tied back, as only one hand had been freed while they were eating.

Moreover, all their weapons had been searched and taken away, and there were many people around, so they posed no threat.

“Have you finished eating? Was the food good?” Su Bai asked.

The purple haired girl nodded without hesitation and replied, “Very good. It’s the best food I’ve ever eaten.”

While eating those foods, they were shocked. The taste was unprecedentedly delicious. It was something they had never tasted in the Mountain Elephant Tribe, but because they were too hungry and the food was too good, they had no time to care about anything else and just focused on eating.

“What kind of food do you eat over there?” Su Bai asked.

“Mostly leaves and roots of some plants, and then some running beasts.” The purple haired girl began to speak less nervously.
