Chapter 452, I Am Its Master

*Clack! Clack!*

*Neigh neigh neigh…*

Qing Mu used a great deal of strength to turn the carriage around and charge toward Su Bai.

The brown horse pulling the carriage seemed to have gone mad, running at an extremely fast speed.

However, a miracle occurred. As she approached Su Bai, her speed began to gradually decrease. Her originally reddened eyes slowly returned to black, and her speed visibly changed from a wild gallop to a slow walk.

Su Bai had initially planned to use his Taming Skill again, but seeing the brown horse become docile, he withdrew the Skill.

At first, he thought there was some problem with the Taming Skill that had caused the horse to suddenly go berserk. However, judging by how the brown horse returned to her normal state after seeing him, he could confirm there was not any major issue with the Taming Skill. It was just that this brown horse did not appear as docile in someone else’s hands, especially after being whipped, which enraged her.

*Clack! Clack!* The brown horse pulled the carriage to a gentle stop in front of Su Bai, then kept swinging her head.

Qing Mu sighed in relief upon seeing this scene. He had thought some major incident was about to occur.

Yan Hua and the others likewise all breathed sighs of relief. They had been prepared to kill the horse.

Because the horse had suddenly gone wild, and had charged toward the Shaman, which they could not allow to happen.

“Shaman, are you alright?” Qing Mu immediately dismounted from the carriage, suddenly realising his back was completely covered in sweat. In fact, not just his back, but his palms and forehead were also covered in sweat. He was truly nervous.

“I’m fine. Go rest for a while.” Su Bai said, noticing his pale face.

It was understandable that the recent scene had frightened him. However, what truly scared him was probably not the brown horse going wild, but more likely Su Bai telling him to direct the horse toward himself.

“Yes.” Qing Mu nodded.

“Shaman, why did this horse suddenly become so fierce? What caused it?” Yan Hua asked curiously.

In the forest and upon returning to the Tribe, none of these horses had shown such an extremely fierce side. The truly fierce horse was the white stallion, but he was not here now. This one was a mare, so her sudden outburst was strange.

“It’s probably the first time she had been used as a tool to pull things, and then she got whipped, so the pain made her go wild.” Su Bai guessed.

Although the horse had gone wild, she returned to her original state upon seeing him, which meant she was only reacting to the pain.

“Shaman, what should we do? Without using the whip, the carriage can’t go fast,” Yan Hua asked. Although the carriage could move without the whip, the speed was indeed very slow.

“Let me try. After a few attempts, it might just work.” Su Bai said.

It went wild because of someone else just now, so what if he tried it instead? Would it be different?

“Shaman, this is too dangerous. This horse just went wild. You can’t take the risk,” Sha Lan immediately objected.

Anything that could threaten the Shaman’s safety was something they absolutely would not allow near him.

“You just saw that this horse became very docile when approaching me, so she won’t do anything to me,” Su Bai said. He wanted to verify if the carriage needed to be controlled by him to prevent the horse from going wild. If so, progress would be somewhat difficult, as he would have to train each horse.

Furthermore, there would be so many horses in the future and numerous carriages…

“But if something happens, it would be terrible,” Sha Lan was still very concerned.

The recent scene was still vivid in her mind. If something similar happened with the Shaman on board, it would be too dangerous.

“It’s fine. Nothing will happen. Don’t forget, I still have my Shaman Technique.” Su Bai smiled.

He could firmly assert that this horse would definitely not harm him. Now, he needed to have her adapt to serving as the driving force for the carriage.

“Shaman, please be careful,” Sha Lan said worriedly.

Yan Hua blinked her red eyes and asked, “Shaman, can I go up with you?”

She was also somewhat concerned. At this point, persuasion was useless, so she rather go along.

“Alright, just be careful.” Su Bai nodded, finding it hard to refuse when seeing her eager eyes.

*Step step step…* Su Bai took Yan Hua’s hand and helped her board the carriage. The latter’s face reddened the instant her hand was held.

This was the first time she had her hand held. When touched by the Shaman’s hand, she felt her heartbeat accelerate.

“What’s wrong?” Su Bai sensed that she had a strange pause to her action.

“No… nothing’s wrong. I’m fine.” Yan Hua quickly shook her head, lowering her head, not daring to look up.

Su Bai raised his thick black eyebrows slightly and instructed, “Then you need to firmly sit.”

“Yes,” Yan Hua responded seriously.

*Snap!* Su Bai held the vine with one hand and whipped the brown horse once with the whip in his other hand.

*Neigh neigh neigh…*

*Clack! Clack!*

The brown horse began to run, starting slowly and progressing to a rapid pace.

Everything seemed very natural. The brown horse showed no signs of going berserk. She ran steadily, turning when she should turn, shifting when she should shift, obeying every command.

“Shaman, why has she become so obedient?” Yan Hua widened her red eyes in surprise.

It was so fierce with Qing Mu just now, how had she become so well-behaved now? The contrast was too great.

“Because I am its Master, of course it listens to me.” Su Bai smiled slightly.

If she did not listen to him, wouldn’t the Taming Skill have been used in vain?

“That’s really amazing, but what about when the Shaman isn’t here? Won’t the carriage be useless then?” Yan Hua asked, puzzled.

“For today, let’s focus on training her first. Once she grows accustomed to this, we can let others try.” Su Bai said.

He planned to train these wild horses before putting them into use. Otherwise, if accidents occurred later, it would be problematic.

“I see,” Yan Hua nodded thoughtfully.

*Clack! Clack!*

*Neigh neigh neigh…*

The carriage continued running, circling around half the Tribe for quite a while before stopping.

The running carriage attracted quite a few onlookers who did not know what this thing was.

They were all curious about what kind of beast this was, and what it was pulling behind it.
