Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”What’s going on? What scarred man?” Yan Luquan couldn’t help but interject as he listened to the young people chatting.

”It’s the man who took Yan Huan away when she was a child. Last time, he almost took Chenyang away.” Yan Ye also knew about this matter.

Ji Chuan had later discussed Yan Huan’s situation with him.

”Haven’t they caught him yet?” Yan Luquan asked.

”No!” Yan Huan’s teeth were gritting with anger, ”I still hate him when I think about it now.”

”They haven’t caught him yet.” Qin Jian also paid attention to this matter, after all, his son was almost taken away by someone in Nancheng City, and he was furious when he found out.

The local law enforcement also took this matter very seriously and have been investigating it continuously.

He would inquire about this matter periodically, so he was aware of the progress updates.

”They killed someone! They must be brought to justice.” Yan Huan said.

”The twenty-year statute of limitations has already passed.”

”It doesn’t matter. He will definitely keep committing crimes, so we will definitely be able to catch him.” Yan Huan was very concerned about this issue.

Ever since returning from Jiangning, she had been eager to catch the scarred old man as soon as possible.

Ning Chenyang listened on the side, his sharp eyebrows furrowed, pondering something in his mind.

”Such heinous criminals should have been captured long ago; they shouldn’t be allowed to harm the children.” Yan Luquan said indignantly, ”They should be listed as A-grade wanted criminals.”

”Alright, why are you discussing this on such a happy day?” Feng Yuzhi, hearing the topic being discussed outside from the kitchen, couldn’t help but come out, ”If you have time, you should discuss Yan Huan and Ji Chuan’s marriage plans.”

”I agree.” Ji Chuan couldn’t wait; part of his purpose for coming today was precisely this.

It would be best to finalize their marriage plans to avoid further delays.

”You all chat. I’ll go help Auntie prepare lunch.” An Hao realized Feng Yuzhi had been busy in the kitchen alone all this time, so she went to join her in the kitchen.

It’s already summer, and Ji Chuan’s idea was for the two of them to get married at the end of the year.

Celebrating the New Year with a double joy would be a good way to end the single life quickly.

However, Yan Huan disagreed; deep down, she wasn’t ready yet.

Her idea was to continue dating for another year or so, and only consider marriage after they were thoroughly familiar with each other.

But the four men in the room were all opposed.

Both Ji Chuan and Yan Huan were not young, and there was no time to waste.

To his credit, Ji Chuan was smart; he was adept at using strategic maneuvering.

Previously, when Yan Huan expressed a desire to delay the marriage, Ji Chuan didn’t say anything but remembered it well.

He knew Yan Huan’s temperament very well, and instead of a direct confrontation, he decided to form alliances with her parents and relatives, isolating Yan Huan.

The arm cannot twist the thigh, eventually, Yan Huan would have no choice but to acquiesce.

The five adults in the living room discussed for a long time, but they couldn’t reach an agreement on this issue.

Yan Huan was left fuming; she often heard her brother describe Ji Chuan as a sly old fox.

Now she could truly see it for herself.

Ji Chuan confidently declared that she couldn’t escape his grasp, and now with the situation as it was, it indeed seemed so.

Yan Huan went upstairs; she felt she needed to calm down, lest she succumb to the urge of wanting to hit someone.

The door had just closed behind her.

Then the phone on the table started ringing.
