Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”Qiqi, what’s this...?” Shen’s father was surprised to see his daughter dressed so beautifully, ”How come you started wearing skirts? Your mom bought them for you ages ago, and you didn’t like wearing them.”

Shen Qiqi smiled but didn’t offer much explanation: ”Dad, Cheng Yue said he’s taking me out today! Do I look pretty dressed like this?”

”Pretty, my daughter is the prettiest.” Shen’s father looked at his daughter with loving eyes, ”It’s rare to see you this happy, go on and have fun. Relax and enjoy yourself!”

”Mm!” Shen Qiqi smiled like a blooming flower.

”Treat her well. It’s rare for her to be this happy, don’t make her upset. Save the farewell for when you leave tomorrow!” Shen’s father spoke in a lowered voice to Cheng Yue.

”Rest assured, my goal today is to make Qiqi happy.” Cheng Yue gazed at Shen Qiqi gracefully coming down the stairs, a hint of amazement in his eyes.

”That’s best. I’ll go change clothes, leaving you two the time.” With that, Shen’s father went back into his room.

Shen Qiqi happily walked down the stairs, extending her hand towards Cheng Yue.

Cheng Yue looked at her fair and beautiful hand, and this time didn’t hesitate long before decisively holding her hand in his palm: ”Let’s go, wherever you want to go today, I’m listening.”

”We’ll see how I feel!” Shen Qiqi said with a smile.

.................................

Ji Chuan planned to take Yan Huan around Jiangning City.

Looking at the pile of clothes before her, Yan Huan was having a hard time choosing. Isn’t it their first official date today with Ji Chuan?

Of course, she should dress up to stand out a bit.

She finally chose a light green long dress, which she had bought two years ago. In her everyday life on the military base, she’s usually in uniform, rarely wearing dresses.

Coming to Jiangning this time, she didn’t know what she was thinking; perhaps subconsciously, she wanted to leave a good impression on Ji Chuan’s parents, so she brought some dresses.

To appear more ladylike.

Bang bang bang~

Knocking sounds came from outside the bedroom, followed by Ji Chuan’s voice: ”Huanhuan, it’s been an hour, haven’t you changed yet?”

”Almost done, just a moment.” Yan Huan quickly slipped into the dress, then applied the lipstick An Hao had given her previously in front of the mirror. Seeing her transformed reflection in the mirror, she curved her lips into a satisfied smile.

”I must say, Captain, your dressing speed is way too slow. How did they train you in the military?” Ji Chuan checked the time, finally unable to hold back and began urging her.

As soon as he spoke, the bedroom door clicked open.

Yan Huan appeared in front of him, and Ji Chuan felt his vision brighten, a smile gradually emerging on his lips: ”So beautiful! Like... a fairy in the forest...”

She exuded a cool, clean, and serene vibe, completely different from her usual fiery demeanor.

”A woman dresses up to please her sweetheart!” Yan Huan said with a shining smile, ”Let’s go, it’s our first date, I want to create a beautiful memory.”

”Perfect timing, I brought the camera. Today, I want to capture all your most beautiful moments on film.” Ji Chuan’s eyes slid over Yan Huan’s graceful waistline, ”Beautiful! My wife is truly beautiful!”

”Hmph! Considering you’ve been single for so many years, I’ll allow you to call me that when we’re alone. But not in public!” Our marriage isn’t official yet.

If outsiders hear this, wouldn’t they laugh at her to death?
