Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

99: Chapter 99: Clinging to life and fearing death, swallowing one’s anger.Listening to the cowardly manner of these people, the Marshal of Bear Country remained silent for a long time, and finally sighed helplessly: ”Fine, I represent Bear Country and agree to your conditions.”

Whether Bear Country had a future or not, the Marshal of Bear Country was unsure, but after this matter concluded, he planned to resign, devote all his energy to cultivation, and raising his own level was... the top priority.

”Deliver it within three days. Now, you may leave this King’s territory.”

Bai Xuan nodded slightly. He had expected them to haggle, but they didn’t. The old-established families of Bear Country applied direct pressure, and with other factions added to the mix, the Marshal of Bear Country agreed without any suspense.

Hearing Bai Xuan’s words, which were nothing short of naked provocation and humiliation, the Soldiers and the Marshal of Bear Country all clenched their fists. They would never forget the shame of today!

”Let’s go.” The Marshal of Bear Country turned around and ordered the army to retreat. This was all he could do for now; he would take it one step at a time. Once the opportunity arose, he would definitely make Bai Xuan pay the price, but for now, he lacked the ability and had to swallow his pride.

Just like that, the Soldiers of various countries completely withdrew from the designated area. Bai Xuan soared in the sky, following behind them. Once they entered the designated area, he opened his bloody maw, Call upon Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy, and gathered cold energy in his mouth.

Along the boundary line, he spewed an icy breath, constructing a boundary line from south to north. The ice was three hundred meters high and about forty to fifty meters thick, incredibly hard, isolating both sides. The cold was biting, and combined with the frigid weather, it could remain unmelted all year round.

Bai Xuan looked at his masterpiece before him: ”As expected of me, truly perfect.”

After finishing, he would let some fierce beasts migrate here to live.

Now, Bai Xuan’s territory had occupied two-thirds of Bear Country’s territory. By developing the fierce beast population, he could have a steady stream of resources. The resources handed over alone would be enough for Bai Xuan to live a carefree life forever, but Bai Xuan would not be satisfied with just that.

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew toward the southern border, aiming to resolve all troubles within these two days as much as possible, and then steadily develop the fierce beast faction forces to welcome the third Aura Tide.

Now, Bai Xuan was no longer as passive as he had been during the first and second Aura Tide.

...

At the Dragon Country wall, after the military department learned the news from Bear Country, they breathed a sigh of relief. However, regarding the upcoming confrontation with Bai Xuan, the pressure mounted once again; they dared not let their guard down and were prepared at all times.

If it really came down to it, they would do the same thing as Bear Country: threaten with nuclear weapons.

At the border line, the fierce beasts hid in the forest or circled at an altitude of a thousand meters, densely packed, confronting the Dragon Country Soldiers on the wall. The atmosphere was tense, looking as if they would fight at the slightest disagreement.

A moment later, Bai Xuan arrived. His massive body landed heavily on the ground, causing the earth to shake and dust to fly. The temperature plummeted instantly. Those fierce beasts hiding in the forest behind came out one after another; the closer they got to Bai Xuan, the colder it felt:

”Subordinates greet the Eagle King.”

They shouted in unison, filled with awe for Bai Xuan. This was the first frontline. Hu Da, Mother Tiger, and Xiao Hei arrived one after another by Bai Xuan’s side:

”Brother Bai {Xiao Bai}.”

Bai Xuan turned his head to look at them and nodded slightly: ”Leave the rest to me.”

Bai Xuan looked at the wall that was even taller than himself: ”Stop hiding, come out and meet me.”

With that said, the steel gate under the wall slowly opened, and several armored vehicles drove out from inside. On the wall and behind the wall, the Soldiers were on high alert, ready to start a war at any moment.

”Hello, Your Excellency Eagle King, I am General Wang Zhuo of Dragon Country. You can discuss whatever you need with me.”

A middle-aged man wearing camouflage military uniform, with determined eyes and a serious expression, stepped down from the armored vehicle. He was none other than the Dragon Country General, Wang Zhuo, who guarded the border.

Behind him followed three Tier 4 powerhouses, wearing spiritual equipment armor and carrying weapons, protecting Wang Zhuo closely. If an accident occurred, they would escort Wang Zhuo into the city at the first opportunity.

With this configuration, if a real fight broke out, the fierce beasts in the south would not be their match and would eventually be routed and flee. If it weren’t for the border between Bear Country and Dragon Country, perhaps they would have really attacked the southern fierce beasts.

But now that Bai Xuan was guarding the territory, they definitely dared not attack.

This also demonstrated Bai Xuan’s importance; he could make all the fierce beasts in the territory unite, which was one of the assets for resisting humans in the early stages.

Although fierce beasts mastered spiritual energy earlier than humans, humans had a great advantage, which was thermal weapons, as well as learning and unity, gathering resources in one place and then distributing them to maximize their utility.

There was also the reason of Dragon Country culture, which allowed them to more quickly create cultivation techniques suitable for humans, spiritual energy, alchemy, artifact refining, talismans, and so on, turning cultivation into reality.

After they came out, a huge panda ran out; it was Fu Fu, and also Shi Xiaoyue. She was sitting on Fu Fu’s head. Fu Fu arrived behind Wang Zhuo, looking at Bai Xuan vigilantly, and set up a fighting stance.

Shi Xiaoyue jumped down from Fu Fu’s head and walked to the side of one of the Tier 4 martial artists, her eyes alert, staring at Bai Xuan without blinking. That massive size and aura made her feel afraid, but she still overcame the fear in her heart, looking at Bai Xuan neither humbly nor arrogantly.

”What are you doing here? Why don’t you go back quickly?” The Tier 4 martial artist beside Shi Xiaoyue said with a serious tone, urging Shi Xiaoyue to return to the city.

”Don’t worry, I definitely won’t cause you any trouble.” Shi Xiaoyue tightened her grip on the hilt of the military knife at her waist, replying unhurriedly.

She wanted to see Bai Xuan’s power with her own eyes. Now it seemed that his aura alone made her feel afraid; if he released his Beast King pressure, she would probably be suppressed and unable to move.

Hearing this, the Tier 4 martial artist didn’t say anything more. The most important thing now was to solve the problem at hand. If they could reach a consensus and resolve it peacefully, that would be best; if not, then they would just have to go to war.

The situation was very tense, and a great war seemed to be on the verge of breaking out.

Bai Xuan looked at the giant panda before him. This was the first time Bai Xuan had seen a giant panda with his own eyes, and he couldn’t help but take a few extra looks; it was indeed quite cute.

But Fu Fu didn’t think so. Being looked at by Bai Xuan for a few moments felt like being stared at by a demon. Bloodline suppression, as well as Beast King suppression, scared its legs into trembling uncontrollably, and it dared not look at Bai Xuan again.

”You Dragon Country people have quite a lot of talent, and there are also quite a lot of beast talents.”

Bai Xuan naturally knew what Dragon Country called them. Those who joined the Dragon Country faction were called Spirit Beasts, representing friendliness to humans and intelligence, while those that posed a threat to humans were collectively called fierce beasts, which were fierce, cruel, and murderous.

”Many thanks for the compliment, Your Excellency Eagle King.” Seeing Bai Xuan’s attitude, Wang Zhuo breathed a sigh of relief; as long as there was no intention to start a war, it was fine.

He did not want to end up in the same predicament as Bear Country. Fortunately, in the midst of misfortune, Dragon Country had not attacked the fierce beasts; otherwise, things would have been much harder to handle.

This was also thanks to Bear Country for not agreeing to let them suppress the fierce beasts.

And when Bear Country requested support, they only symbolically gathered troops at the border to confront them. They would not fire the first shot; just going through the motions was enough.
