Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

68: Chapter 68 Tiger Cub Successfully Advances, Time for a Sparring Match?Bai Xuan took his forty percent share of the spirit stones and, while he was at it, completely wiped out several surrounding tribes, gaining a significant amount of evolution points and spirit stones.

As for the remaining tribes or resident fierce beasts, he could simply leave those for Yuan Jin, Xiong Lei, and the others to handle.

...

Night fell, and the bright moon hung high in the sky.

Bai Xuan returned to the area where he lived, which was the central location of the Far East region.

He went to see if Huzi had finished his cultivation.

Huzi had just finished his cultivation and advanced to the Third Rank. The purple patterns on his body were even more prominent, sharp purple bone spurs had grown from his tail, and his physique was powerful; he was an outstanding existence even among those in the same realm!

The single horn on his head had darkened in color and become even more crystal clear.

His body length had reached twenty-two meters, making him a literal colossus. Every step he took caused the ground to shake and the mountains to tremble, like a small moving hill.

Immediately after, a tiger’s roar resounded through the clouds!

”Roar!” It triggered an avalanche. Many fierce beasts couldn’t stop their bodies from trembling upon hearing this roar; it could be said that he displayed the majesty of the King of Beasts to the fullest!

Bai Xuan waited quietly outside for Huzi to emerge.

”It looks like the advancement was a success.”

By all rights, Third Rank fierce beasts should have appeared here long ago.

However, because Bai Xuan had snatched many resources and killed several top beast kings, no Third Rank fierce beasts had appeared until now.

Now that Huzi had successfully advanced, he became the first Third Rank fierce beast in this area besides Bai Xuan. This was even without the help of a tribe; if he had tribal support, he would surely have improved even faster.

After sensing Bai Xuan’s aura, Huzi rushed out of the cave.

Seeing Bai Xuan waiting for him, Huzi stepped forward with a wide grin to share his joy.

”Brother Bai, I’ve successfully advanced! Hahaha!”

The power of the Third Rank was even greater than he had imagined.

The spiritual energy stored in his demon core was immense, and his control over spiritual energy had become more refined.

He could even externalize his spiritual energy for long-range attacks.

This made Huzi extremely happy, his smile stretching from ear to ear.

Bai Xuan was also happy for Huzi. ”Congratulations, congratulations.”

”Brother Bai, do you want to trade a few blows with me?” Huzi wanted to test his current strength and proposed a spar with Bai Xuan.

”Sure. Don’t hold back, use your full strength.” Bai Xuan nodded slightly.

A fresh Third Rank was simply not enough to challenge Bai Xuan’s Fourth Rank level.

Even if Bai Xuan just stood there and let Huzi strike him, Huzi wouldn’t be able to harm a single hair on his body.

However, Bai Xuan also wanted to see if Huzi’s current strength was superior to that of an ordinary Third Rank fierce beast.

”Then be careful, Brother Bai. I’m very powerful now.”

Huzi was just talking big; in truth, he knew the gap between himself and Bai Xuan. Even if he went all out, it would be difficult to hurt Bai Xuan.

But this was for the best, as Huzi could use his full strength without any reservations.

Lightning flickered around Huzi’s body, crackling and booming with the sound of thunder.

The bolts danced around him like active pets. As the purple lightning spread, Huzi’s aura gradually climbed, becoming more and more powerful. Then, he let out a thunderous tiger roar.

Huzi’s massive body flashed past, leaving only an afterimage of purple lightning.

In the next second, he appeared behind Bai Xuan. His tiger claws, carrying terrifying electricity, swung down hard toward Bai Xuan’s back.

With a loud boom, the ground shook. The snow on the ground was blown away, revealing the earth beneath. Snowflakes flew everywhere as the lightning flickered wildly, dealing destruction.

”So cold!” Huzi withdrew his paw. That strike felt like hitting solid steel, and it was also freezing. Even with his thick hide, Huzi found it somewhat unbearable.

Bai Xuan’s entire body was covered in icy scale armor; it was his Cold Scale Tyrant Body.

Bai Xuan stood in place, motionless. ”Continue.”

”Alright!” Huzi went all out. Purple lightning gathered on his claws as he swung out over a dozen Purple Lightning Flying Blades that looked like claw marks!

They all struck Bai Xuan squarely. Huzi continued his assault, raining down punches and kicks. His tiger tail and teeth joined the fray as he used every means of attack at his disposal.

Just like that, an hour passed.

Huzi lay panting on the ground, his spiritual energy nearly exhausted.

”No more, I’m done.”

He had tried everything, but he couldn’t break through Bai Xuan’s defense. This was within Huzi’s expectations; after all, Bai Xuan had advanced to the Third Rank much earlier than him. They weren’t in the same league and couldn’t be compared.

”To have this kind of strength right after advancing is very good. You’re much stronger than an ordinary Third Rank fierce beast.” Bai Xuan deactivated his Cold Scale Tyrant Body, completely unharmed.

Huzi lay on the ground, resting for a while before speaking with a bitter smile.

”Compared to you, Brother Bai, I’m still far off.”

”After all, I’ve been at the Third Rank for a while now. It’s only natural that I’m stronger than you.”

Bai Xuan channeled some spiritual energy into Huzi, helping him recover some physical strength and spiritual energy.

Afterward, Huzi sat on the ground, resting his front paws on the earth.

”By the way, Brother Bai, are the Savage Bears in that area your subordinates?”

”Yes, why?”

”It’s nothing, I was just asking. Last time I ran into their leader—Xiong Yan, I think his name was. I thought it would be a difficult fight, but to my surprise, they didn’t harm me. Instead, they treated me with great hospitality. I learned a few things then, so I came to confirm them with you.”

Huzi told Bai Xuan about the things that had happened to him during this period.

”Also, I sparred with that Xiong Yan a few times. We were evenly matched. That guy is indeed very strong, but he definitely can’t beat me now.”

Thinking of this, Huzi burst into laughter.

Xiong Yan had a thick hide and extremely high defense, which had frustrated Huzi several times.

But now that Huzi had successfully advanced to the Third Rank, Xiong Yan was no longer his match. Any further sparring would have to wait until Xiong Yan also reached the Third Rank.

”Xiong Yan isn’t far from advancing either. When that time comes, the two of you can spar with each other. It’ll be good for gaining combat experience as Third Rank fierce beasts.”

Bai Xuan voiced his thoughts. There were very few Third Rank fierce beasts in this area, so having a well-matched opponent to spar with was quite good—Bai Xuan didn’t even have one himself.

”I will. But that will have to wait until I come back next time.”

Huzi nodded slightly.

”Come back next time? You’re leaving here?” Bai Xuan was somewhat surprised.

This area was quite suitable for survival. It was a bit cold, but for a thick-skinned fierce beast like Huzi, it was harmless and had little impact.
