Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

54: Chapter 54: I’m quite interested, I won’t disturb you any longer.”You are joking.” Snow Wolf King laughed awkwardly.

He really knows how to hit a sore spot; how nasty.

Just wait, you’ll get what’s coming to you soon.

”So, have you all decided yet?”

Bai Xuan spoke with great interest.

He hadn’t expected the Snow Wolf tribe to resist, whereas Savage Bear was much more sensible.

This piqued Bai Xuan’s interest, and he wanted to see what kind of schemes they could come up with to deal with him.

”Eagle King, you are so powerful; submitting to you is our honor.”

Snow Wolf King put on a fawning, flattering smile, then turned his head to look behind him:

”Why aren’t you hurrying to bring up the food for the Eagle King to enjoy?”

Snow Wolf King signaled to the wolves under his command to bring up the food. It was a large foolish roe deer with a pair of crystal antlers on its head. After mutating, it had mastered water-attribute powers, but in the end, it was weaker than the wolf tribe, so it was perfectly normal for it to be hunted down.

The foolish roe deer was dragged in front of Bai Xuan; it was already dead and contained a large amount of toxins, which would be fatal to most fierce beasts!

The wolves who brought the food were trembling uncontrollably. From start to finish, they kept their heads lowered, not daring to look at Bai Xuan. It went without saying that they were terrified of him.

”You are quite thoughtful.” Bai Xuan praised them.

”Eagle King, eat it while it’s fresh.” In front of Snow Wolf King also lay a grayish-white snow hare, which was quite large.

”You’re in such a rush; there couldn’t be something fishy going on, could there?”

”Haha, Eagle King, you really do like to joke. How could there be anything fishy? Hurry and eat while it’s fresh, and I’ll enjoy my meal with you.”

Cold sweat poured down Snow Wolf King’s face. He gave an awkward laugh, and after finishing his sophistry, he urged Bai Xuan to eat it.

”Is that so? Then let that... what’s-his-name come over and take a bite first.”

Bai Xuan looked toward the Commander Wolf who had previously provoked Snow Wolf King.

Snow Wolf King was in a bit of a dilemma and looked at Commander Wolf.

Commander Wolf quickly spoke up: ”This is food for the Eagle King; it’s not something a wolf like me can eat. Eagle King, please don’t be polite, hurry and eat. After you’re done, we can discuss important matters.”

”Yes, yes, discuss important matters after eating.” Snow Wolf King forced a smile and chimed in.

”You are all so enthusiastic; how could I enjoy this alone? You should come over and take a bite. Otherwise, it would seem like I’m being unsociable.”

Bai Xuan watched them perform their sophistry with great interest.

”Why don’t you come over and take a bite?”

Since things had reached this point, Snow Wolf King could only go along with what Bai Xuan said.

In any case, he wanted to use this opportunity to get rid of Commander Wolf. This was indeed a good chance, and at the same time, he had tried his best, but was helpless to stop it, so there wouldn’t be any criticism later.

If Commander Wolf didn’t eat, it would ruin the big picture. Now that the situation was tense, he believed Commander Wolf would sacrifice himself for the greater good.

All the snow wolves looked in unison at Commander Wolf, waiting for his answer.

”This... actually, I’m already full and can’t eat anymore. Eagle King, you can just eat it yourself.” Commander Wolf felt extremely annoyed; why did it have to be him who was chosen?

”Are you refusing to give me face?” Bai Xuan’s tone turned cold.

This scared Snow Wolf King quite a bit: ”Listen, Lang Xiao, it’s just a bite. Just eat it and be done with it. Why so much nonsense? Hurry up and come over and take a bite!”

The other snow wolves also urged Commander Wolf to take a bite.

Commander Wolf wanted to cry but had no tears. This was simply lifting a rock only to drop it on his own feet. Now he could only grit his teeth and go for it, taking a perfunctory bite without swallowing, then finding a place to spit it out:

”Then I shall respectfully obey.”

Commander Wolf walked forward with extreme reluctance and came before the corpse. If it were ordinary foolish roe deer flesh, he would certainly have wolfed it down, but this was flesh laced with potent poison; there were toxins all over it from head to toe.

He hesitated, unable to bring himself to take a bite. This was even more unbearable than making him eat excrement.

Bai Xuan gave Snow Wolf King a look, and Snow Wolf King understood perfectly:

”Lang Xiao, hurry up! When did you become so dawdling? It’s just a bite. What exactly are you worried about? I order you to eat it immediately!”

Snow Wolf King spoke with increasing intensity, urging Commander Wolf to eat.

Commander Wolf glared at Snow Wolf King with resentment, then gritted his teeth and took a small bite:

”I’ve finished eating. I won’t disturb you anymore; I’ll be off now.”

”Don’t be in such a rush. Why are you being so polite? Eating such a little bit—are you looking down on me?”

Bai Xuan blocked Commander Wolf’s path with his wing and said in a teasing tone.

”Lang Xiao, take another bite. This part is good; take a big, hard bite. Don’t be polite.”

Snow Wolf King gloated, extending his wolf paw and pointing to a spot on the corpse’s forelimb.

Better a short pain than a long one. Screw it. Lang Xiao once again gritted his teeth, took a large bite of flesh, and glared viciously at Snow Wolf King: ”Thank you, Wolf King, Eagle King.”

Snow Wolf King felt a bit guilty from being stared at. Feeling sheepish, he didn’t dare look at Lang Xiao and waved his wolf paw:

”Alright, you may step down now.”

”Yes, Wolf King.” Lang Xiao gritted his teeth, and after saying that, he retreated.

This time, Bai Xuan did not stop him again and looked at Snow Wolf King: ”Why don’t you take a bite too?”

”This kind of food is extremely precious; it’s most appropriate to use it to entertain you, Eagle King. I have my own food, so I’ll just eat that. By the way, hurry and eat while it’s fresh.”

”I see. I didn’t expect your hospitality to be so good.” Bai Xuan nodded gently.

Bai Xuan twisted off the corpse’s head and swallowed it in one gulp.

Seeing this scene, Snow Wolf King and the other snow wolves were incredibly excited. He finally ate it; it wasn’t easy at all.

Commander Lang Xiao’s sacrifice was not in vain; we will definitely avenge you!

Snow Wolf King was so happy he couldn’t close his mouth. Killing two birds with one stone; eliminating two obstacles was, to him, a tremendous stroke of good fortune.

”Why are you smiling so happily?” Bai Xuan asked.

”It’s nothing, just thought of something happy.”

”Then they must have thought of something happy too.” Bai Xuan looked at the snow wolves in the pack who were smirking.

”They are happy for themselves. After all, with you leading us, our tribe will definitely be able to reach new heights.”

Snow Wolf King made excuses; just wait until the toxins take effect, you’ll have a hard time.

”So that’s how it is. Then I also have some good news to tell you.” Bai Xuan grinned.

”What good news?” Snow Wolf King was puzzled. What good news could there be?

”It’s that I have Immunity to Toxins, and at the same time, I’m particularly sensitive to toxins.”

”Is that so... I’m really happy for you.” Snow Wolf King was stunned for a moment, cold sweat pouring down, and said with an awkward laugh.

Bai Xuan swallowed the entire body of the foolish roe deer and then looked at Snow Wolf King.

”Eagle King, you really have a good appetite. Are you not full? I’ll go personally and get you something to eat.” Snow Wolf King felt his heart creeping out from being watched; he found an excuse and slipped away.

He didn’t know if it was true or false, but to be safe, it was better to stay far away.

... Godfather {Very Loudly}, I want... I want... {Panting} I want a ”Power for Love.” Thank you.
