Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

51: Chapter 51 The Bear King’s Tragic Death and the Bear Clan’s Reaction. At the same time.

Ice and snow covered the land, and the cold was bone-piercing.

Bai Xuan was flying a thousand meters high in the sky. With his keen vision, every movement of the Savage Bears on the ground was clear to him. He soon found the Bear King, who was heading off to eat.

”Rank Two, Stage Eight. His talent is truly high.”

He hadn’t expected this Bear King to have already entered Rank Two, Stage Eight. Its talent was indeed very high.

Bai Xuan folded his wings and dove down, charging toward the Bear King with lightning-fast speed.

His sharp Eagle Claws glinted with a cold light, revealing their full sharpness.

Currently, Bai Xu’s body was at its maximum size.

With a ’shua’ sound, his Sharp Talons pierced into the Bear King’s neck, intending to snap it by force.

The Bear King let out a roar that shook the heavens and reached back to grab him.

”Who is it?! How dare you sneak attack this King!”

All the Savage Bears were startled and rushed toward the scene.

Bai Xuan didn’t waste words; he increased his strength, and his Eagle Claws directly crushed the Bear King’s cervical vertebrae!

The Bear King’s massive body crashed to the ground, and blood sprayed out like a fountain.

Just like that, it was easily killed by Bai Xuan. Bai Xuan tore off the Bear King’s neck and swallowed it into his stomach.

”Its defense is indeed high, being able to withstand one of my moves.”

The back of the Bear King’s neck was covered in Stone Armor, which had withstood Bai Xuan’s diving attack.

However, it didn’t last long before dying.

The arriving Savage Bears saw this scene, their jaws dropping in shock.

”The Bear King... was killed by it just like that? This is simply too terrifying.”

”This is definitely not strength a Rank Two could possess. There’s only one possibility then: this guy is a Rank Three fierce beast!!”

”What should we do now? Maybe we should just run.”

”Can we outrun it?”

”That’s still better than waiting for death.”

Suddenly, a huge Savage Bear stepped forward resolutely. It was at Rank Two, Stage Six. If the Bear King hadn’t monopolized most of the resources, it would have already broken through to Rank Two, Stage Seven, or even higher.

”What have you come here for?”

”To eat.” Seeing that it wasn’t afraid but had instead come up to question him, along with the reactions of the other Savage Bears, Bai Xuan became interested.

”To eat? We can give you things to eat, but you cannot attack us.”

The Savage Bear steeled itself and continued to negotiate.

Although it was quite happy that the Bear King was killed, it was possible that its turn would be next, which it didn’t want to see. If they could talk, that would be best; if not, it could only fight to the death to buy more time for the clan to escape.

”You aren’t going to avenge it?” Bai Xuan felt puzzled.

Logically speaking, since he had killed their king, they should be angry.

Could it be fear? They didn’t dare to attack?

That was possible. If that was the case, it could be exploited.

Having a few more underlings wasn’t bad. A wolf pack plus a bear pack could better deal with human attacks, or at the very least, block most of them.

This region was still quite dangerous. Bear Country to the west, Eagle Country to the east, and Dragon Country below—all were part of the top three powers. Even though Bai Xuan had excellent Flight capabilities, he still felt somewhat inadequate when facing human weaponry.

At a critical moment, he could only continue to run north.

Because of this, Bai Xuan needed more underlings who would obey his orders to obstruct humans, while also seizing more spiritual energy resources to raise his own level.

There were many spirit stones scattered in other regions. Searching for them one by one would take too much time, but having a large number of powerful underlings would make it much easier.

As the saying goes, there is strength in numbers.

As for eating them to gain evolution points, the disadvantages outweighed the benefits, and Bai Xuan could eat other things; there was absolutely no necessity for it.

The most important thing was obedience. If they were obedient, everything would be easy to handle. This was also why Bai Xuan used forceful methods... to make them submit.

Black Ants and Savage Bears were, in Bai Xuan’s opinion, harder to handle, so he chose the wolf pack. After all, dogs were domesticated from wolves, so it was easier.

”He is not worth us avenging. The Bear King ate his own kind, monopolized the female bears and spiritual energy resources, and even demanded we work hard every day to find food for him. Given all this, we are glad to see the Bear King fall.”

The Savage Bear spoke the truth. They had wanted to resist, but the Bear King was simply too strong.

So they could only swallow their pride and avoid his sharpness, waiting for the right moment to sneak attack or mob the Bear King to death.

”This... you guys are indeed quite miserable.” Bai Xuan knew what a mate meant to bears; the mating season was one part, but they also wanted their own offspring.

With the female bears monopolized by the Bear King, they could only watch helplessly, filled with envy, jealousy, and hate.

They were indeed oppressed quite miserably. If the spiritual energy resources had been used to improve the strength of the Bear Clan, they would definitely be at a higher level, but the Bear King’s status would also have been threatened. There were pros and cons.

But it made sense; the Bear King had to limit their strength to stabilize his own position.

”We can give you food and spirit stones, but we need mates to reproduce.”

The Savage Bear proposed its conditions, feeling anxious inside while remaining calm on the surface, waiting for Bai Xuan’s reply.

”How about this. You work for me. I only want high-quality spirit stones and nothing else. What do you think?”

After a moment of silence, Bai Xuan had the idea of recruiting the Bear Clan.

Earth Savage Bears had very high attack and defense power, with few opponents in the same realm. They were indeed very good thugs.

”Work for you? Specifically, what do you need us to do?” The Savage Bear did not agree immediately but asked for clarification before making a decision.

”I need spirit stones. You will help me snatch spirit stones from other fierce beasts. Also, at critical moments, you must obey my orders. At the same time, I won’t take everything; we’ll split it fifty-fifty. In the future, I can also protect you. If you encounter someone you can’t beat, you can come to me anytime, and I’ll help you get even.”

After Bai Xuan finished speaking, he raised a leg and sent an Ice Flying Blade sweeping out, straight into the sky.

This was to demonstrate his power and let the Savage Bears know his strength.

How they decided was their own business. If they didn’t agree, Bai Xuan could only eat them all to maximize his interests.

If they agreed, it would naturally be for the best, which was also what Bai Xuan wanted to see.

Seeing that Bai Xuan could release flying blades and could also easily kill the Bear King.

They fell silent. The Savage Bear that had been negotiating with Bai Xuan just now spoke:

”Please allow us to discuss it.”

”Fine.” Bai Xuan nodded slightly, then devoured the Bear King’s massive body. He flew to a patch of snow without blood, stood on the snow, and waited patiently.

...

The behemoths sat on the snow, talking back and forth.

They were all commanders of the Bear Clan, and now they held the future of the Bear Clan in their hands.

”That’s the situation. Does anyone have anything to say?”

”Actually, that guy is very strong. Working for him isn’t a shameful thing.”

”But is he really trustworthy?”

”He didn’t kill us immediately, so he should be trustworthy. Besides, if he really wanted to kill us, why would he bother talking to us?”

”I think it’s feasible. Working for him is better than following the Bear King.”
