Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

74: Chapter 74: Cooperation Established, Prices Soar.”For the sake of mutual benefit, our side proposes paying half the remuneration upfront. Once you, Eagle King, have nearly completed the task, we will pay the remainder. Eagle King, do you agree to this proposal?”

The Bear Country Officer naturally would not pay all the remuneration at once. To look out for the interests of both sides, he would provide half as a deposit, and pay the final balance after the task was completed.

”Very well.” After pondering for a moment, Bai Xuan agreed.

Likewise, Bai Xuan would also keep his guard up and would not trust Bear Country without reservation.

”Then it’s a pleasant decision. We hope that Eagle King can complete the cooperation as soon as possible. We will absolutely not default on the final payment, please rest assured.”

The Bear Country Officer breathed a sigh of relief; the mission had been completed perfectly.

He didn’t want to stay in this godforsaken place for even a second longer. Being stared at covetously by those ferocious beasts was unbearable. Most importantly, Bai Xuan, this giant beast, made them feel even more wary, and even fearful.

”Go send people to deliver the items. You can leave as soon as possible.” Bai Xuan said, having noticed that they did not want to stay here any longer.

”Very well, Eagle King, please wait for a moment. It will be delivered very soon.”

Afterward, the Bear Country Officer went to report to his superiors and then had the resources delivered here, eager to finish quickly and return as soon as possible.

”Mr. Bai, we have already sent people to deliver the resources. Do you think it’s time to fulfill your promise?” The Captain approached Bai Xuan with a medical kit, smiling awkwardly.

”Understood.” Bai Xuan plucked a feather and placed it on the ground. Immediately after, he used his sharp Eagle Claw to lightly slice his wing. Blood flowed from the wound—a full 500 milliliters—enveloped in aura, floating in mid-air.

Once the quantity was sufficient, the wound healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, returning to its original state. This small amount of blood had no impact on Bai Xuan whatsoever.

”Mr. Bai, just put it in here.” The Captain stepped forward, holding a glass jar, his tone revealing his excitement.

Bai Xuan sent the blood into the glass jar. The Captain hurriedly stored it away, putting it aside carefully, and then thanked Bai Xuan: ”Thank you, Mr. Bai.”

”It’s just cooperation, no need for that.” Bai Xuan replied indifferently.

After a while, the Dragon Country transport plane arrived first, dropping the cargo, which landed precisely less than a hundred meters from Bai Xuan.

The transport plane did not linger; after completing its mission, it left.

”Mr. Bai, please count it.” The Captain sent people to pull the steel safe over to Bai Xuan, then entered the password and opened the safe, revealing the dense pile of Spirit Stones inside.

After a simple count, Bai Xuan poured them all into his mouth: ”The quantity is correct. Let’s cooperate again if there’s a chance.”

”Very good, very good.” The Captain nodded with a smile.

For now, it was good to build a relationship with Bai Xuan; perhaps there would be times in the future where they would need him. At the same time, the Captain was amazed by the sheer scale of Bai Xuan’s presence.

But then again, facing so many Spirit Stones, for the sake of profit, it was very necessary.

Afterward, the Bear Country transport plane’s airdrop also arrived. The Bear Country Soldiers pulled the safe in front of Bai Xuan. Just like the Captain, the Bear Country Officer opened the safe and asked Bai Xuan to count it.

After confirming the quantity, Bai Xuan swallowed them all into his stomach: ”The quantity is correct. I will set off tomorrow, and it should be finished in about half a month.”

”Very good, thank you, Mr. Bai. By then, our final payment will also be delivered on time. I hope we have more opportunities for cooperation.” The Bear Country Officer nodded with a smile.

”Cooperation is possible, but on the premise that you don’t completely piss me off.” Bai Xuan nodded slightly.

The current relationship was tense, but it hadn’t reached the freezing point yet. If the benefits were sufficient, it could still be negotiated. If even benefits couldn’t appease the anger, then the only option left would be war.

”Very well, I will relay this to my superiors.” The Bear Country Officer managed an awkward but polite smile.

”By the way, Mr. Bai, we will be deploying armed forces, but this is only to prevent surprise attacks from ferocious beasts. Please understand, and do not attack these armed forces.” ”Understood.”

Afterward, the Soldiers from both countries boarded their helicopters and left. Watching the helicopters gradually fade into the distance, Bai Xuan remained silent.

The current peace was only temporary. Bai Xuan had to raise his own level and the levels of the ferocious beasts under his command in the shortest possible time. At the very least, he needed the ability to protect himself. He would absolutely never hand over the Far East Region.

Perhaps living in peace and not disturbing each other’s development would be quite nice, but who could say for sure when faced with interests? Humans guarded against ferocious beasts, and ferocious beasts guarded against humans; conflict was inevitable. Everyone wanted more resources, so it would depend on who had the greater ability and strength.

After the Dragon Country and Bear Country helicopters left, Xiong Yan came to Bai Xuan’s side alone and asked: ”Eagle King, what did those humans come here to do?”

It could naturally hear them if it wanted to, but it didn’t do so. Releasing spiritual power to observe would definitely be detected by Bai Xuan.

Bai Xuan told Xiong Yan the whole story. After a long silence, Xiong Yan spoke: ”Eagle King, humans cannot be trusted. Furthermore, do you really want to help humans deal with ferocious beasts?”

”Not exactly. This also has benefits for us.” Bai Xuan told Xiong Yan his thoughts, so it wouldn’t overthink things.

Gathering the ferocious beasts over there to be used for his own purposes, collecting resources from the Far East Region, and having better control—the ferocious beasts would also have more time to grow, allowing them to better block humans in the future.

Likewise, Bai Xuan could also gain more benefits. As mentioned before, the pros outweighed the cons, which was why Bai Xuan would do this.

”So that’s how it is.” Xiong Yan suddenly understood and approved of Bai Xuan’s decision.

”By the way, the central zone and the eastern region are now both under your control. There shouldn’t be any clans that can threaten you. Do your best to strengthen the clan; only then will you be able to compete for more benefits in the future.”

Bai Xuan placed the eastern region, all the way to the sea, under Xiong Yan’s control to collect resources. He let Huzi, the Rat King, and Xiong Lei control the south. For the west, Bai Xuan planned to provoke some powerful clans to take control, and the same for the north.

He didn’t have time to manage the north for now. The Far East Region was still very vast, enough for them and Bai Xuan to grow. They needed to absorb the resources from the first and second Aura Tide at the fastest speed possible.

They needed to be in the best state to welcome the arrival of the third Aura Tide.

”Thank you, Eagle King.” Xiong Yan had originally wanted to go to other areas, and now that Bai Xuan had said this, it was naturally pleased to see it happen.

Likewise, it also understood that there were other forces under Bai Xuan in the other areas. It would try its best not to come into conflict with them and would strengthen the clan within the area Bai Xuan had designated.

The overall strength of the current Earth Savage Bear Clan was rising rapidly. This was also because Bai Xuan had eliminated the other two major clans, reducing the number of competitors. They could collect resources on a large scale, and not many ferocious beasts could contend with them.
