Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

96: Chapter 96 Kadik, Young Master Yang of Dragons Dies”Long time no see? I think you all would prefer never to see me again.”

Bai Xuan did not strike immediately, but instead looked down at the two of them from above. Other Soldiers, military weapons, and the like were beneath Bai Xuan’s notice; they were not worth his attention.

”There might be some misunderstanding between us. We can sit down and talk things over properly; perhaps the final outcome will be good for both sides...”

Major General Long Shaoyang bit the bullet and tried to soothe Bai Xuan’s mood, hoping to talk things over and reach a mutually beneficial, happy ending.

This was the only option now. Even nuclear bombs couldn’t kill him; other weapons were even more useless. In this situation, peace talks were the best way to end the war.

Whether or not to resort to mutual destruction was a choice for the Bear Country military. Major General Long Shaoyang was only stepping forward to ease the tense atmosphere and strive for a peaceful negotiation.

”A misunderstanding? Launching missiles and nuclear sneak attacks while I was in seclusion, and then starting a war—is this a misunderstanding? Don’t think I don’t know that a large amount of military force has gathered at the border of the Dragon Country; your intentions are self-evident.”

Bai Xuan released his Beast King pressure, making everyone present unable to breathe.

If they hadn’t taken the initiative to attack him, perhaps Bai Xuan wouldn’t have attacked them for the time being, but would have waited, gone to do other things, and waited for the fierce beasts to grow before striking.

But now, the Bear Country had initiated the war, causing heavy casualties among the fierce beasts and destroying the clan forces that Bai Xuan had spent so long building up. This matter would not be easily let go.

”Eagle King, please calm down first. Things developing to this point was not what we wished for. Whatever compensation you want, you can propose it, and we can satisfy you.”

Major General Kardik said quickly, hoping to use this to appease Bai Xuan’s anger.

”Compensation? You’d better pay with your lives first.”

Bai Xuan raised his foot and crushed them into pulp. Major General Kardik and Major General Long Shaoyang died on the spot. Seeing this, the Soldiers pulled the triggers and attacked Bai Xuan.

With just a glance from Bai Xuan, thousands of ice cones condensed around him, accurately shooting and killing the Soldiers. Screams rang out continuously as one after another fell and died on the spot.

The reporters who had been arrogant before were scared out of their wits, quickly getting into their off-road vehicles to try and flee the scene.

At the same time, they didn’t forget to take out their phones to livestream. Other reporters whose equipment hadn’t been destroyed also broadcasted the scene of Bai Xuan destroying the military district.

Suddenly, an Ice Flying Blade struck, snapping the off-road vehicle in half. It then exploded into ice, killing many reporters on the spot; they were left without a whole corpse.

Bai Xuan flew in the air, wantonly destroying the military district. He opened his bloody maw, gathered his ability [Extreme Cold Breath], and sprayed it out, destroying the tall city walls from end to end. In no time, the massive defense line was breached. Everywhere he went, corpses littered the ground, machines were reduced to scrap metal, and buildings were razed to the ground.

The entire military district was shrouded in a dazzling light blue glow. The Extreme Cold Breath had immense destructive power, attacking indiscriminately and destroying the entire military district; no one survived.

”This is what you brought upon yourselves.”

Bai Xuan snorted coldly, looked to the west, and spread his wings to continue forward. He did not intend to let the Bear Country off so easily.

...

Along the way, Bai Xuan ruthlessly killed any retreating troops he encountered. He continued to push forward until he reached the end of the Siberia Region, where many troops had gathered. Various high-tech weapons were all deployed, and there were thousands of fighter jets in the air.

Ahead was a densely populated area. Civilians were currently being evacuated rapidly to ensure their safety. Technical personnel and the wealthy were prioritized, followed by civilians, while the Soldiers were left behind to cover the retreat. Since the negotiations failed, they had no choice but to start a war to block Bai Xuan’s path and buy time for them.

”Mr. Bai, I wonder if I may address you as such? Please, come down so we may have a chat.”

The leader was the General of the Bear Country, who was also ranked first on the Bear Country martial artist leaderboard—the strongest, Mikhailovsky. He possessed a Level 4 Tier 1 rank, having just advanced recently. He had extremely high talent and possessed numerous resources. With the support of high-level heaven-and-earth treasures, he was able to advance to Level 4 and become the strongest martial artist of the Bear Country.

Mikhailovsky was 2.5 meters tall, with a broad back and thick waist, and well-developed muscles. The veins on his arms looked like winding dragons, full of power. He wore a set of high-tech spiritual energy armor that protected him tightly. It was jet-black, forged from various rare and powerful fierce beast scales, bones, demon cores, spirits, and rare spiritual metals, weighing eight thousand jin.

It had extremely high defensive power, and on his back was a spiritual energy thruster, capable of supersonic Flight. Coupled with his own pitch-black attribute, it increased his strength by 300%.

He held a two-and-a-half-meter-long jet-black broadsword, covered in scales resembling snake scales. The material was naturally extraordinary. To forge this broadsword, they had specifically traveled to the tropical rainforest to find a suitable fierce beast, eventually finding a fierce beast mutated from a reticulated python: the Black Water Giant Python, Level 3 Tier 7.

Bai Xuan slammed into the ground, landing steadily. The ground shook, and dust flew up: ”Level 4? Humans are growing really fast. This equipment of yours must be the highest spiritual artifact technology of your Bear Country, right?”

Bai Xuan sized up Mikhailovsky, intrigued by the equipment on him. A Level 4 powerhouse had appeared so quickly. But then again, they were somewhat united, able to obtain large amounts of resources and heaven-and-earth treasures to increase their level at the fastest speed.

”Hello, respected Eagle King. I am the General of the Bear Country, Mikhailovsky. It is a pleasure to meet you.”

Mikhailovsky placed his palm on his chest and bowed slightly to greet him—this was the highest respect. It was clear that he really did not want to go to war with Bai Xuan, even though Bai Xuan had killed so many of his men.

He then explained: ”This armor is called the Black Dragon Armor, and the long sword is called the Black Flame Giant Blade; they are indeed the highest spiritual artifacts forged by our Bear Country. If the Eagle King wants them, we can cooperate and forge them for you.”

”What would I want with your scrap metal?”

Bai Xuan smiled mockingly.

”The Eagle King is right; our scrap metal is not worthy of your attention. I was too confident; please forgive me.”

Mikhailovsky did not feel angry because of this; instead, he spoke with awe in his tone.

”You are quite composed.”

Bai Xuan looked down at Mikhailovsky. But then again, someone who could get this far wouldn’t be so simple.

If he couldn’t even keep his cool, he wouldn’t have been able to represent the Bear Country and come here.

”Thank you for the compliment. Eagle King, please feel free to state your conditions. As long as we can do it, we will do our utmost to satisfy you.”

Mikhailovsky went straight to the point; he truly wanted to end this war.

Nowadays, the Bear Country’s neighboring countries and the two permanent members of the West had also stepped in to help. They naturally hoped for the Bear Country to perish, but if the Bear Country perished, who would stop the fierce beasts in the Far East for them? The Bear Country was like a goalkeeper; as long as it was still there, it could block the fierce beasts, and most importantly, the Beast King.

This way, it wouldn’t spread to their side. It was precisely because of this that they had formed a temporary alliance, sending large amounts of military aid and martial artists to the front line to stop Bai Xuan, with all kinds of high-tech spiritual artifacts deployed.
