Killing ferocious beasts had earned him quite a few evolution points, allowing Bai Xuan’s level to rise to the Third Rank, Seventh Level.

His strength had increased visibly. Once he subdued the wolf pack, he could begin his advancement. His spiritual energy and evolution points should be enough to advance, or if not, he would at least be very close to it.

Bai Xuan stood up, stretched, and walked to the entrance of the cave.

Outside, it was the same as usual: snow was falling heavily, and the cold was bone-chilling.

This snow likely wouldn’t stop anytime soon.

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew towards the wolf pack at supersonic speed.

...

The Snow Wolf pack; tonight, all the Snow Wolves, big and small, had gathered here.

They were preparing to welcome Bai Xuan’s arrival, then poison him in a sneak attack, and finally swarm him to kill the giant eagle that threatened their survival.

The poison came from a mutated poisonous flower. Snow Wolves had been poisoned to death by it before, and because of this, they had mastered the method of poisoning.

The dosage was not small; they were terrified of failing to poison Bai Xuan to death.

”Wolf King, everything is ready. We’re just waiting for that giant eagle to arrive.”

”Check it several more times to ensure there are no slip-ups.” The Snow Wolf King did not dare to be careless; he had to make it perfect. He had to kill Bai Xuan.

”Rest assured, as long as that giant eagle dares to eat it, he will definitely be poisoned to death.”

The Commander Wolf, who ranked third in the wolf pack, spoke with absolute certainty.

Originally, this was meant to poison the Bear Clan and the Ant Clan, but they hadn’t expected this surprise interloper, so they had no choice but to use the poison on him.

This time, to ensure there were no mistakes, they used their entire stock of poison.

At the same time, the powerful Snow Wolves were ready to strike. As soon as the poison took effect in the giant eagle’s body, they would swarm him and tear the giant eagle apart alive.

”That’s good. But I’m still a bit worried that he might discover it.” The Snow Wolf King nodded gently but couldn’t help voicing his concerns.

”Don’t worry. This poison is colorless and odorless. Even with our sensitive sense of smell, we Snow Wolves could barely detect it. We stumbled many times before realizing it was such a potent poison, so it definitely won’t be discovered.”

The Commander Wolf chuckled, incomparably confident.

At the same time, he secretly looked down on the Snow Wolf King. Since when had the Snow Wolf King become so timid? This only made the Commander Wolf think more about taking his place.

But poisoning was unacceptable; it was against the rules of the wolf pack. Therefore, he needed enough strength to challenge the Snow Wolf King and rightfully become the new Snow Wolf King.

Now that the Snow Wolf King’s prestige had dropped and his spirit stone resources were running low, it was the perfect opportunity; he absolutely could not miss it!

”With those words from you, I can rest easy.” The Snow Wolf King nodded gently.

He was naturally aware that the Commander Wolf was harboring ulterior motives, but he didn’t expose him. Instead, he chose to feign weakness to make the other let his guard down, and then kill him.

It would be even better if he could die during the siege of the giant eagle!

”Wolf King, not to criticize you, but have you become a coward?”

The Commander Wolf said in a teasing tone, dripping with sarcasm.

He was constantly testing the Snow Wolf King’s bottom line, or perhaps, provoking the Wolf King’s majesty. Although he had been warned before and had calmed down for a while, whenever he had the chance, he would use a teasing tone to provoke the Wolf King’s majesty.

”I’m doing this for the future of the wolf pack. Being cautious is a good thing after all, isn’t it?” The Snow Wolf King appeared calm on the surface, but in reality, he was already burning with rage, though he didn’t show it.

”Hahaha. I’m just joking, don’t mind me, Wolf King.” The Commander Wolf laughed heartily.

”How could I? Am I the kind of wolf who can’t take a joke?”

The Snow Wolf King revealed an awkward but polite smile.

He was smiling, but hiding a knife behind his grin. ’You bastard, you really don’t take me seriously anymore. Just you wait, I will definitely make you pay for your defiance of the Wolf King!’

Things were proceeding in an orderly fashion.

Suddenly, the Snow Wolf King’s eyes turned serious. ”He has arrived.”

”I’d like to see just what kind of sacred entity he is!” The Commander Wolf didn’t believe that the giant eagle was really that capable; he felt the Snow Wolf King had been exaggerating.

A moment later, a pale blue figure appeared in the sky, cutting through the dark heavens like a meteor falling toward the ground!

”This speed!”

When the Commander Wolf saw it with his own eyes, his pupils shook.

This speed was just too fast. He was truly a menace that had to be eradicated!

”Now you know how formidable he is, right?” The Snow Wolf King felt very satisfied seeing the Commander Wolf’s shocked expression.

I told you all that the giant eagle was very powerful, but you just wouldn’t believe me!

”Hmph! So what if he’s powerful? We have so many wolves, surely we don’t have to fear just one?”

The Commander Wolf came back to his senses, annoyed at his own loss of composure.

”Then why don’t you go first in a moment?” The Snow Wolf King fanned the flames, wanting to push the Commander Wolf into the fire.

”We focus on tactics, not recklessness. Wolf King, don’t you even know this?” The Commander Wolf realized belatedly, sensing the Snow Wolf King’s intent.

”Hahaha, I was just joking. Don’t take it to heart.”

”What time do you think it is? You still have the mood to joke around. You really are something else.”

Meanwhile, under the gaze and upward looks of all the Snow Wolves, Bai Xuan landed on the ground, shaking up gusts of snow mist, which were immediately scattered by a powerful gale.

Bai Xuan’s massive body appeared before their eyes, exuding a cold and formidable aura. Some cowardly Snow Wolves were so scared they wet themselves, and most of the Snow Wolves were trembling, tails tucked between their legs, not daring to meet Bai Xuan’s gaze.

They were as pathetic now as they had been confident before.

Only by witnessing it with one’s own eyes and experiencing that level suppression personally could one know just how terrifying that giant eagle really was.

”How have you considered it?” Bai Xuan walked up to the Snow Wolf King, his tone icy.

”We have likely considered it well...”

Before the Commander Wolf could finish, he was interrupted by Bai Xuan:

”Did I ask you? Furthermore, what qualification do you have to speak to me on behalf of the wolf pack?”

”This...” The Commander Wolf felt extremely stifled and was gnashing his teeth in hatred, but on the surface, he revealed an awkward but polite smile. He still didn’t dare to refute Bai Xuan’s words.

The Snow Wolf King felt very satisfied seeing this; only he had the qualification to represent the wolf pack. ”You should step back for now. Leave the rest to me.”

”Understood, Wolf King.” The Commander Wolf lowered his head, his expression cold and sinister. After saying this, he obediently stepped back.

”You aren’t doing a very good job as Wolf King.” Bai Xuan had keen hearing and had heard their conversation from high in the sky in the distance. To tell the truth, the Snow Wolf King was indeed doing a poor job as Wolf King, letting his subordinates provoke his majesty like this.
