Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

52: Chapter 52 Subduing the Bear Clan, Chief Xiong YanAfter a while.

After they had finished discussing, the Savage Bear that had just negotiated with Bai Xuan approached him and lowered its head, the meaning obvious:

”We are willing to serve you.”

”A wise choice. Rest assured, as long as you do your jobs well, I will never treat you unfairly in the future.”

Bai Xuan laughed heartily and nodded with satisfaction.

”Thank you, Eagle King.” The Savage Bear addressed Bai Xuan as King.

Given Bai Xuan’s strength, he was indeed qualified to be called King. After all, in this region, Bai Xuan was the strongest fierce beast, and even the strongest in the entire Far East.

”Just continue living as you did before. Oh right, now that the Bear King is dead, who will be the Bear King?”

”We wouldn’t dare. Having you as our King is enough.”

”But there must at least be someone in charge. Will you be the one?”

”This... we need to discuss it.” The Savage Bear needed to ask for the opinions of its fellow clansmen before selecting a leader.

”How about this: you take the position. It saves the trouble of having to discuss it, and if any fighting breaks out, it will delay my affairs, which is not good for either side.”

After speaking, Bai Xuan looked at the group of bears watching eagerly: ”You shouldn’t have any objections, right?”

There was a reason why Bai Xuan selected this Savage Bear to be the leader; after all, it had dared to come forward and negotiate with him first, and its own strength was quite good, more than enough to be the leader.

”We have no objections.” Even if they had objections or were unhappy, they had to keep it to themselves. After all, Bai Xuan had said it himself; if they made him unhappy and got killed, there would be no one to reason with.

”Good, it’s happily decided then.”

Bai Xuan looked at the Savage Bear: ”Since they have all agreed, you should agree too, right?”

”Thank you for your appreciation, Eagle King. I will definitely not let you down.”

Things had reached this point; even if it didn’t want to agree, it had no choice.

”Good, I believe in you. By the way, do you have a name?”

It would be troublesome to give orders without knowing its name. It was better to have a name or a codename, or at the very least, a title, such as ’Leader’.

”Xiong Yan, that is my name.” Xiong Yan replied respectfully.

Xiong Yan was a creature of its word; since it had agreed to serve Bai Xuan, it would certainly deliver.

Hopefully, Bai Xuan would also keep his word and not treat them unfairly in the future.

”Xiong Yan, that’s a good name. Well then, Xiong Yan, from now on you are the leader of the Bear Clan. I hope you can strengthen the clan, keep everyone united, and not pull any funny business.”

”Yes, I will definitely not fail the Eagle King’s expectations.”

From beginning to end, Xiong Yan maintained a serious demeanor, which was very trustworthy.

”Take me to where the spirit stones are kept.” Bai Xuan nodded gently; now it was time for the spirit stones he had been longing for.

Just by devouring the Bear King’s corpse earlier, Bai Xuan had already obtained one high-grade spirit stone and several Mid-Grade Spirit Stones. Now, having subjugated the bear pack as well, it could be called a bountiful harvest!

”Eagle King, please follow me.” Xiong Yan said respectfully, leading the way.

Bai Xuan was a bit tired, so he perched on top of Xiong Yan’s head.

Xiong Yan did not object; it just shuddered slightly at first, then returned to calm.

The other Savage Bears watched the backs of Xiong Yan and Bai Xuan as they left. The fear and tension in their eyes could not dissipate for a long time. The aura on Bai Xuan’s body, and the strength he had displayed, were too terrifying; he was nine times out of ten a Tier 3 beast.

They hadn’t expected a Tier 3 fierce beast to appear so early.

But what they didn’t expect was that Bai Xuan was not a newly advanced Tier 3 beast, but a Tier 3, Level 5 beast—his strength was far more terrifying than it appeared on the surface!

”A Tier 3 fierce beast! Truly terrifying!”

”Who’s to say otherwise? The aura radiating from the Eagle King is enough to make us lose our will to fight. Sigh, I don’t know if today’s decision... is a good thing or a bad thing.”

”Whether it’s a blessing or a curse, we can’t hide from it. We just need to do our own jobs.”

”I think it’s actually a good thing. After all, the Bear King is dead, and letting Xiong Yan be in charge will definitely be better. Furthermore, the Eagle King said to let Xiong Yan handle the clan’s affairs; Xiong Yan shouldn’t make the same mistakes as the Bear King. This way, we might have mates. Just thinking about it makes me feel wonderful.”

”Well said. I can finally be with Xiao Mei properly. It hasn’t been easy; I’ve waited for this day for a long time, thinking about how things could change every moment, and now it has finally come true.”

”That said, what should be done about the female bears carrying the Bear King’s children, and the Bear King’s offspring?”

”This... we should wait until Xiong Yan returns to discuss it. But there are only three paths to choose from: either drive them away, kill them, or let them stay.”

...

Bai Xuan arrived at the cave where the spirit stones were stored. Due to the Bear Clan’s innate advantages, they had plundered many spirit stones: one or two thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones, over a hundred Mid-Grade Spirit Stones, and two high-grade spirit stones.

Only the Bear King could use the high-grade spirit stones; the other members of the Bear Clan dared not covet them.

It was precisely because of this that the Bear King’s level increased so quickly. However, one must be strong oneself to forge iron; the Bear King’s talent was not weak either, otherwise, it would have long been unable to withstand the immense spiritual energy and exploded to death.

Bai Xuan swallowed the mid-grade and high-grade spirit stones into his stomach, leaving only two Mid-Grade Spirit Stones, which he handed to Xiong Yan: ”Take these two Mid-Grade Spirit Stones. Do your job well, and in the future, there will only be more.”

”Thank you for the reward, Eagle King.” Xiong Yan was silent for a moment, then chose to accept the spirit stones.

”You’re quite old-fashioned and serious. Surely you aren’t acting this way just because you’re afraid of me, right?”

Bai Xuan was in a great mood and teased with a laugh.

The Black Ant Clan and the Savage Bear Clan had allowed Bai Xuan to make a fortune.

He should be able to level up several times. He would absorb these spirit stones after finishing all his tasks.

”No, I am only like this because I respect the Eagle King.”

”I see. Then just be yourself. However, I am actually quite kind, so there is no need to be so respectful. Just do your job well, and perhaps in the future, we can become good friends fighting side by side.”

Bai Xuan used a mix of grace and authority, being tough when necessary and gentle when needed, clearly understanding how to shift his attitude.

”Good.” Xiong Yan nodded heavily. Its understanding of Bai Xuan had increased a little more; he wasn’t actually that hard to get along with.

Perhaps following Bai Xuan would be a good thing.

After all, Bai Xuan had high talent and great strength. With such a powerful giant eagle looking out for them, many troublesome matters could be easily resolved.

For example, clan matters and threats from outside clans could all be easily solved.

If Bai Xuan hadn’t stood up for Xiong Yan to be the leader, perhaps later on, they would have fought tooth and nail for the position, which would not have been conducive to clan unity, growth, or development.

”By the way, the three tigers and one crow a thousand miles away are my friends. Do not harm them.”

Bai Xuan seemed to have remembered something and gave instructions.

”Good. I will remember that.” Xiong Yan agreed without hesitation.
