Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

98: Chapter 98 Five Kingdoms Join Forces for Immortality”Eagle King! Please stop advancing immediately. Otherwise, we will resort to a mutually assured destruction strategy, launching all nuclear weapons across the country for indiscriminate bombing. By then, no one will be able to survive. I believe you wouldn’t want to see that happen.”

Bear Country rolled out broadcast vehicles; the sound was deafening, clearly audible for a thousand miles around.

At the same time, they held a news broadcast to disseminate this decision, urging other nations to weigh their options and not hold back when it was time to take action. This was also a disguised way of forcing them to intervene.

The events of the past two days were the most severe since the resurgence of spiritual energy, and all nations were in a state of panic; naturally, they did not want Bear Country to release all its nuclear weapons.

Humanity still had significant room for growth, and among the ferocious beasts, only Bai Xuan had emerged as a Beast King. They still had a bright future, and human civilization would advance to a higher level because of it, but now Bear Country wanted to drag the whole world down with them, which they were certainly not willing to accept.

Many countries held news broadcasts, strongly condemning Bear Country’s rude and unreasonable behavior, and then explained the current situation, spreading the news about Bai Xuan.

The world’s first true Beast King had been born. Where would humanity go from here, and how would they face this crisis? After all, even Bear Country had been beaten back repeatedly and suffered a crushing defeat; it was very likely they would be pushed to the brink and launch all their nuclear weapons.

Instantly, the internet was in an uproar, and some people were even plunged into despair. The previously promising situation was now gone, simply because the ferocious beasts had produced an incredibly powerful Beast King!

[Holy crap, has the Frost Giant Eagle really grown to this point now?]

[Bear Country shouldn’t have provoked it. Look at them now, lifting a rock only to drop it on their own feet...]

[Who knew this would happen? Bear Country even used nuclear weapons and still couldn’t kill that giant beast, let alone know it would successfully evolve into a Beast King.]

[So what do we do now? Just sit and wait for death?]

Bai Xuan heard these words and was not surprised; it was within his expectations: ”Forget it, let’s stop here. Pushing them too far won’t be good for anyone.”

Bai Xuan flew toward the ground and landed steadily. What met his eyes were dense formations of troops, vehicles, fighter jets, and helicopters. At the head was the Marshal of Bear Country. He suppressed the anger in his heart and stared fixedly at Bai Xuan: ”Your Excellency Eagle King, can we have a proper discussion now?”

Behind him were reinforcements sent by the Gallic Rooster Empire, the Sun Never Sets Empire, and Eagle Country. Within their own nations, these were top-tier powerhouses equipped with the most advanced spirit artifacts. They arrived with uneasy hearts to face the world’s first Beast King.

It was a situation of near-certain death; they were terrified that Bai Xuan would start a war at the slightest disagreement.

Meanwhile, Dragon Country exerted pressure from the south of the Far East Region to force Bai Xuan to retreat. Although it was risky, it was better than Bear Country dragging the whole world down with them.

Bai Xuan’s actions had effectively forced all five of humanity’s strongest nations to take action, treating him like an existential threat.

”A discussion is certainly possible, but it depends on how much you are willing to offer to appease my anger.” In these past two days, Bai Xuan had effectively crippled Bear Country.

Even if the war ended and they survived, they would only be struggling to survive, their status having plummeted. In the early stages, they could rely on nuclear weapons to protect themselves, but the medium and later stages were hard to predict, and rising again would be even more difficult.

Among the Western nations, Bear Country was the closest to the Beast King’s territory. Consequently, talents would inevitably flee to safer countries, making it incredibly difficult for Bear Country to rise again.

Upon hearing Bai Xuan’s words, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. As long as they could talk, it was fine. Humanity still had vast room for development and growth, and they certainly did not want to lose their lives because of this.

Similarly, this was the only chance to pursue eternal life. Among those powerful and wealthy people, who wouldn’t want to live longer?

The resurgence of spiritual energy had both pros and cons for them. The good was that they could attain strength previously impossible to reach, as well as longevity. The bad was that the ferocious beasts were extremely difficult to deal with, threatening their survival. If humanity evolved faster than the ferocious beasts, then their situation and future would be bright.

But there were no ”ifs.” Now, the ferocious beasts had already become a force to be reckoned with.

”What do you want? We will agree to it as much as possible.” David from Eagle Country stepped forward first and asked, desperate to end this war.

What could be more important than one’s life? If not for the absolute nature of military orders, he would rather die than come here to face such an outrageously strong ferocious beast.

”It’s not your place to speak here, my friend from Eagle Country.” The Marshal of Bear Country looked displeased and cast an unfriendly glance at David.

”Apologies, I was too excited.” David was naturally dissatisfied, but given that this was their territory and they had almost used nuclear weapons to drag the whole world down with them, he had to swallow his pride and yield to the Marshal of Bear Country.

Anyway, he wouldn’t be arrogant for much longer. Once Eagle Country mastered more advanced spirit artifacts, Bear Country would be nothing. If they dared to be disrespectful to them, they would be the first to be dealt with.

However, the decline of Bear Country was also something other nations wanted to see.

”Now is not the time for this. Let’s hurry up and discuss the terms.” Said Mark Wei from the Gallic Rooster Empire.

The Marshal of Bear Country ignored David and looked at the towering Bai Xuan before him. In front of him, humans were like ants, tiny and insignificant: ”Your Excellency Eagle King, please state your demands. As long as it is within our power, we will do our utmost to satisfy you.”

”Bear Country must retreat three hundred miles. All land to the east shall belong to the ferocious beasts. Otherwise, you must also pay a compensation of fifty thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones, five thousand Mid-Grade Spirit Stones, and five hundred high-grade spirit stones within three days. If not, I don’t mind fighting you to the end.”

Upon hearing Bai Xuan’s words, the Marshal of Bear Country was burning with rage, his molars nearly crushing. Wasn’t this clearly bullying? With so many spirit stones gone, how would Bear Country develop in the future? There would be no possibility of rising again. With talent and manpower constantly flowing away, how could they retain them without resources?

”Forgive me, but I cannot agree...”

Before the Marshal of Bear Country could finish, David from Eagle Country hurriedly spoke up: ”Marshal of Bear Country, please calm down. As long as the green hills remain, there’s no need to worry about firewood. My Eagle Country is willing to lend you five thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones. However, it can still be negotiated; I just hope you won’t act impulsively.”

”The Gallic Rooster Empire is also willing to lend spirit stones to Bear Country.”

”The Sun Never Sets Empire is the same. Let’s talk things over properly; don’t act impulsively.”

The other three major nations were all willing to lend spirit stones to help Bear Country get through this difficulty. Furthermore, there would be a third resurgence of spiritual energy in the future, so Bear Country still had a chance. It was better than having their country destroyed.

The old family powers in Bear Country also pressured the Marshal of Bear Country to agree to the Eagle King’s conditions. They controlled thirty percent of Bear Country’s resources. As long as they took action, they would certainly be able to help Bear Country overcome the difficulties. Future matters could be dealt with later; the most important thing now was to solve the problem at hand.
