Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

57: Chapter 57 Little Black’s Bloodline Evolution, Spirit Tree.Upon hearing this answer, Xiong Yan’s shock was evident: ”As expected of the Eagle King, truly formidable.”

He knew clearly that he was still a long way from the Third Tier; without a stroke of luck, he wouldn’t be able to advance anytime soon, while Bai Xuan had already reached the Fifth Stage of the Third Tier.

It was truly terrifying; how could Xiong Yan not feel shocked?

”Alright, I’ll be heading off now if there’s nothing else.” Bai Xuan greeted him and stood up, preparing to leave.

”Then let me see you off.” Xiong Yan also stood up and stepped forward to see Bai Xuan off.

”No need.” Bai Xuan shook his head lightly, then flew out of the cave, shooting straight into the sky like a long rainbow, a trail of pale blue light following behind him, with a scattering of chill—a truly beautiful sight.

It made one want to take a few more looks. Xiong Yan gazed up at the figure in the sky: ”I will definitely catch up to your pace.”

Xiong Yan had his own goals and ideals. He was loyal to Bai Xuan, but he would not rely on him forever. Help was naturally a good thing, but relying on others was not as good as relying on oneself. Relying on himself brought more peace of mind; he wouldn’t have to live in fear and could resolve difficulties immediately, rather than waiting for Bai Xuan to come and solve them.

There was also the heavy responsibility of strengthening the Bear Clan. The Bear Clan was currently stable, but many uncertain factors remained hidden. The most important was the issue of the previous Bear King’s offspring, which had to be handled properly. Xiong Yan did not plan to drive them away; as long as he set rules, the potential problems should be solvable.

Those who refused to submit would be killed directly, but killing a large number of the Bear King’s offspring would cause dissatisfaction among most of the female bears, which was not conducive to growing the clan. Therefore, Xiong Yan did not choose to kill them outright.

Expulsion was no different from killing and was also undesirable; it would only incite conflict. It was unnecessary. For the sake of the long term, the current approach was already very good.

...

Relying on Divine Sense Perception, Bai Xuan made his way to Tiger’s habitat.

Now, Tiger and the others lived separately, though not far apart, so if they encountered difficulties, they could help each other and solve problems together.

At this moment, Tiger was cultivating in the cave, absorbing spirit stones to improve his strength. Seeing this, Bai Xuan did not disturb him.

Just as he was about to leave, Xiao Hei, having finished foraging, came to visit Tiger. His dwelling was in a large mutated tree with lush leaves that concealed Xiao Hei’s home.

Xiao Hei had a pretty good relationship with that large tree. He often hunted some ferocious beasts and placed them at the foot of the tree; the tree’s roots would pull the carcasses into the soil, absorbing the energy from the bodies to strengthen itself.

”Xiao Bai!” Xiao Hei shouted upon seeing Bai Xuan, flapping his wings and rushing over to Bai Xuan’s side without delay.

”Brother Hei, are you back from foraging?” Bai Xuan responded with a smile.

”Right, but I’m not heading back; I came to visit Tiger.” Xiao Hei landed steadily on the ground.

Xiao Hei’s appearance and size had changed significantly; his body length had reached eight meters, and his wingspan was twenty-one meters. Among avian ferocious beasts, he was truly a behemoth.

His entire body was covered in mysterious black feathers that shimmered with iridescent colors under the sunlight. At the joints of his wings were three mysterious black bone spurs, which looked somewhat frightening.

At the same time, Bai Xuan grew his body size to be about the same as Xiao Hei’s to facilitate communication, as looking up or down was not ideal. He then released his Eye of Appraisal:

[Race]: Dark Flame Raven.

[Level]: Second Tier, Seventh Stage.

[Attributes]: Black Flame, Shadow.

Bai Xuan could sense the improvement in Xiao Hei’s level and strength. His strength should be significantly higher than other ferocious beasts of the same level. Mastering dual attributes must have been due to some kind of fortuitous encounter.

”I see. So, where are you living now?”

”Just in the forest over there. Do you want to go visit my place?” Xiao Hei used his wing to point out a direction for Bai Xuan.

”Sure. By the way, congratulations on your level breakthrough. You should have also mastered the Fire attribute, right?”

”Holy crap, you even discovered that.” Xiao Hei hadn’t expected Bai Xuan to be able to tell that he possessed the Fire attribute.

”I was just guessing. I sensed a Fire attribute power, so I just confirmed it with you.” Bai Xuan smiled and explained.

”Impressive. I was planning to give you a surprise, but I didn’t expect you to discover it so quickly. As expected, nothing can be hidden from you.”

If Xiao Hei had fingers, he would definitely have given Bai Xuan a thumbs up. As expected of Xiao Bai, his insight was truly strong.

At the same time, Xiao Hei also noticed Bai Xuan’s changes and spoke in disbelief: ”Xiao Bai, you didn’t advance again, did you?”

”That hasn’t happened. My level just increased, causing some changes.” Bai Xuan shook his head with a smile.

”I really thought you advanced again; that would be too terrifying.” After all, Xiao Hei had only ever seen one Third Tier ferocious beast, Bai Xuan. As for Fourth Tier, it went without saying; he hadn’t even seen a single hair of one.

”Let’s chat while we fly.” Bai Xuan flapped his wings and took off, heading in the direction Xiao Hei had just pointed out.

Xiao Hei followed closely behind, flying to Bai Xuan’s side: ”There are several mutated large trees there. I built my nest on one of them; it’s very safe, and I can see further.”

”Mutated tree species, that’s interesting.” Bai Xuan nodded lightly.

After the Second Tier, many ferocious beasts could communicate. Or rather, it was a beast language that allowed various species of ferocious beasts to communicate simply, or even without barriers.

Where this beast language came from was unknown. After the second Aura Tide arrived and they advanced to the First Tier, the skill was naturally mastered in their minds. Bai Xuan naturally had it too.

However, Bai Xuan didn’t need it. After all, he had the system-added Communication with Living Beings, which allowed him to communicate without barriers with any living thing—flowers, grass, birds, beasts, marine life, and so on.

A moment later, Xiao Hei brought Bai Xuan to his dwelling. During this time, Xiao Hei told Bai Xuan the causes and consequences of his evolution: he had accidentally found a spirit fruit in the forest, and after consuming it, his bloodline changed, and he mastered the Fire attribute power.

But the Fire attribute would be affected in this area, and its strength could only be exerted to thirty percent. Precisely because of this, Xiao Hei generally wouldn’t use the Fire attribute, opting instead to use the Shadow attribute to approach prey without anyone noticing and kill them in one blow. The Shadow attribute also came with a corrosion effect and boosted speed, which was not weak. It was sufficient for this area.

”Xiao Bai, this is where I live.”

Xiao Hei introduced the place to Bai Xuan with great excitement. The trees here were indeed more upright and tall, with thick trunks. The tallest one, which was where Xiao Hei had built his nest, was three hundred meters high; using the term ”towering tree” to describe it was not an exaggeration at all.

Feeling the terrifying aura on Bai Xuan, those mutated Second Tier large trees were so scared that their branches swayed involuntarily several times. They didn’t dare to breathe, just like ordinary trees.

”It is indeed a good place. These few trees are all quite high in level.”

Bai Xuan had long since figured out their information. Their roots were deeply embedded in the soil, strong and powerful like pythons; if one were entangled by them, ordinary ferocious beasts of the same level would find it hard to break free. However, for beasts with powerful physiques like the Bear Clan or the mutated Siberian Tiger, the roots and vines were a bit inadequate.

”Do you want to move over and live together?” Xiao Hei suggested.

”No, this place doesn’t suit me. Besides, they seem quite afraid of me.” Bai Xuan politely declined. The place where Bai Xuan lived was on the mountaintop, bone-chillingly cold, which was very suitable for him; there was no need to move here.

”Alright then.” After saying this, Xiao Hei flew to the tallest tree: ”Song Qing, don’t worry. This is Xiao Bai, my good friend. He won’t hurt you.”

”Song Qing, that’s a pretty good name for a tree.” Bai Xuan muttered to himself.

”Little Tree greets the Eagle King.” Song Qing’s massive body bent slightly, as if bowing.

The other spirit trees were the same, their massive trunks bending slightly: ”Little Tree greets the Eagle King.”

The voices of Song Qing and other Second Tier spirit trees were deep or sweet, while those of the First Tier and Sub-tier were immature, varying with age and level.

”You know me?” It was probably spread by the Bear Clan.
