ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

[I know it’s asking for a lot, but let’s try to give it our very best for the next two days. That way we can all take it nice and easy during the New Year’s, even going for about a week’s break if we really do a good job.]

“Swallow’s Nest” is an AR-related venture company that has emerged onto the market in recent years and is now regarded as one of the top contenders for a countdown to join the ranks of the best AR-related companies out there.

Shortly before Virtual Reality entered the stage that would later become known as its heyday, the company’s first president, Tsubame Kabura, managed to find a business opportunity in the still largely unexplored sector of the market in the form of Augmented Reality. Now the company was being run by its second President, Tsubame Kazuya, who largely inherited all of the business models and ideas of his predecessor…… The time was now slowly approaching the end of the year, and thus far the second President turned out to be as strong as the first President, if not even more agile in some aspects.

[…… Umm, Mister President?]

[Oh, come on now. I’m sure that the growth here is quite fast, but surely it’s still not all that big when it comes to the overall scale? We have just managed to finish a pretty huge job, so everyone in here must surely be dying to get some much needed vacation, right? Especially since it’s the end of the year and you have all worked hard. Is it that kind of thing……?]

[I actually think it’s a great idea, Mister President! Let us go on another company trip on New Year’s Day! Let’s go to Vegas once more and blow some money!!]

[Still no word from Tama-san, I assume?]

There are no employees in Swallow’s Nest who doubt the skill and capabilities of Kazuya.

While still being greedily and steadily expanding the scale of the company’s operations, he does not fall into the holes and traps caused by simple and reckless expansion.

His personal policy is to correctly recognize the value of each employee’s technical capabilities and use them well for as long as possible, without exploiting them mercilessly until there is nothing left in them after a short while.

And above all else, there are Kazuya’s rare bargaining techniques that made it possible for the company to land a successful transaction with Utopia.

There have been rumors circulating around the company that the President has shown excellent talent since his time as a student, but since he was the successor of the first President, the old-fashioned employees who were with Swallow’s Nest ever since it was first established, found it initially hard to put the same amount of trust in him as they did with his predecessor.

That is exactly the kind of man that Tsubame Kazuya is…… But it is also true that sometimes he just happens to make pretty weird decisions and makes strange suggestions. And once again, the employees who were in the position of executives cannot hide their confusion about the sudden declaration of long vacation that could only be classified in here as nothing short of “mysterious.”

[Mister President…… Maybe this has something to do with the fact that we are approaching the end of the year period?]

[Hahaha, no, there’s no way it’s about something like that.]

[But Mister President, with all due respect, but didn’t you look at the calendar yesterday with that terrible grin on your face? And wasn’t that right around the time when you happened to receive that email?]

[Tama-san, I think that for the next company trip we are going to go to Macau. What do you think?]

[Yes! I see nothing wrong with your choice, Mister President! Well then, I am going to the store and buy a supply of Riot Blood for all our employees! Oh, is it okay for me to put that under the company’s expenses?]

When it comes to this particular employee, around the company he had the cemented opinion (?) amongst the female employees to be a: “Decent marriage candidate, with enough income and competences, but your savings would disappear right away before you would even know it”. Not to mention that he was a completely different person when it comes to casinos and gambling in general. It was as if some sort of a switch was being flipped inside of his mind, his eyes turning into dollar signs. Kazeya opens his mouth again.

[Well, honestly speaking this is rather crazy when you think about it…… That event rush that ShangriLa Frontier is doing right about now……]

[If someone else was to see this, they would have thought that you are a terrible President who abuses his employees for the sake of his own convenience, Mister President……]

However, it is true to say that Swallow’s Nest became very busy by successfully completing all the big projects it had planned for this year, such as the announcement of their plans regarding the AR technology at JGE and the announcement of Scrap Gunman being in the making…… And completing those projects has led to some more breathing room to be created in the company.

Yes, for example, such a thing as…… If all of the employees do their best just for a little bit longer, they will be able to finish all the work for this year way ahead of schedule.

[But that being said, the Second President, if you really stop to think about it, we usually have a holiday period just at the very end of the year, isn’t that right?]

[Ugh……]

[I mean, and again, no offense, but if someone decided to come to work and work through the New Years’ for two or three days, surely you would not grant that person a twenty or even thirty days off, am I right? Mister President?]

[Fufufu…… Saejima-san, you have been working for this company ever since the time of my father, so I can more or less understand what you mean and where you’re coming from with it……]

[Well, of course. I just think that sometimes it is necessary for the good of the company to know when to be lenient and when to be more strict with the employees. Just like your Predecessor did, Mister President.]

During the early stages of development for the Scrap Gunman, there have been more than a few hurdles that the company had to overcome, to say the least. Which is precisely why after they were able to overcome those hurdles, Kazuya decided to make it up to his parents and sent both of them on a trip around the world. It was also so that his father would not be here, which would have made some of the necessary decisions way more problematic than they had to be. At the time some of the people thought this decision to be a mistake, but Kazuya never thought of it in that light, not even for a second.

Had his father been here, it would have been way more difficult for him to force a long period of vacation for all employees the way he did. But right about now his father should be in America, so Kazuya still had a whole lot of leeway for the time being. And at this rate his father won’t be back before the end of the year, which is actually a good thi

[And you see, there is also this other thing…… Everyone, surely you have a whole lot of things to do in your private lives during the end of the year, isn’t that right?]

[Well, yes, that’s about right……]

[And I am honestly grateful for this, but……]

If you are able to use up a break from work, you should use that break from work for sure. At least the employees who belong to Swallow’s Nest, who identify themselves as a white company, can accept that truth that a job equals means. However, at the same time, there is also the pride of those who support the Swallow’s Nest to consider.

When it comes to executives themselves, people who are worried about whether it is okay to shut down the company for nearly half a month even before the start of the immediate holidays come first.

[At the current moment weI have only one project going on, and we can get a new contract next year for sure. In other words, if we finish it in about two days, we can get a much needed vacation.]

They cannot ignore the new requirements, but even if they were to subtract them, it is not something from the realm of the impossible. And perhaps most of the employees agree with this policy.

[No….. I wonder if I can actually do it or not……]

[Wouldn’t it be extremely unpleasant if we basically stopped functioning at the contact point of this scale?]

[Just leave them a message pointing out towards our mail address and everything will be just fine.]

What are we going to do with this, we shall do that. That’s basically how this song and dance went here.

In that moment Kazuya made full use of his speech abilities to realize a “year-end long vacation” without stagnation, as if he had prepared the answer from the very beginning, anticipating those questions to be asked. The President’s tongue seemed to be flying a little bit too smoothly here for some of the employees currently in the office.

The decisive hit here seemed to be the bloody eyes of the employees who returned with four boxes of energy drinks that were bought at the company’s expense. Thus, Swallow’s Nest started a full-speed dash death march to death for the year-end long vacation. Although listening to this any listener would become skeptical of their sanity, but any other employee would look at them with sheer envy……

[Hey there…… Bibal. I have managed to clear pretty much everything on my end. …… So sorry for asking you this, but please let me get some sleep, at least until nightfall. At night, I can go make rounds around the kingdom, fight oversized dinosaurs, or do basically whatever it is that you need me to do, until you are going to be satisfied……]

[I mean sure, but…… What the hell is all of that noise? Your voice right now is cascading like all hell, to say the least.]

[Hahaha, haah…… This is basically the voice of the Earth itself…… At least for now, that is.]
