ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

In a nutshell, this ability possesses destructive power equal to the impact of the meteorite colliding with the earth.

If there was any other Player who would be foolish enough to try and approach both Sanraku and Drakarus Dinocerberus that night, they would have been blown away and killed instantly by the tremendous explosion and heat wave that followed right after it. And it was an explosion so powerful that it actually scorched the very earth they were standing on and wiped out the portion of the trees around them, leaving that particular part of the Sea of Trees area as nothing more but a desolated wasteland.

「GARORORORORORORO……!!!]

For the time being, “Scarlet” was still alive. Its left head went completely silent, and the right head was way less lively than it used to be, but even though it was on its deathbed, the terrifying tri-headed dinosaur was not going to just sit there and let death just take it. It was hell-bent on taking its opponent with itself.

But then, who was it who was finally able to fight “Scarlet” after that tremendous explosion took place?

If you think normally and logically, there was no way that anyone could have survived an explosion of this caliber. The very earth was shattered to pieces, the trees were incinerated, and the people who happened to be in some great radius from the epicenter of the explosion were also killed on the spot as well…… So there was no way that there would be any survivors.

In addition, Heavy Nitro oil lumps also happened to have the same properties as ordinary lumps of mucus. In other words, if you attach it to something even once, it will never disappear, even if you roll on the ground. Even if you somehow managed to surpass the shock and heat, the flames that attacked the body will not die immediately and will burn out the body right to the very bone.

But still, even in situation like that “Scarlet” was not going to let its guard down.

Until it was going to see the smoldering corpse, it was not going to rest. So it’s five senses were still sharpened to the maximum and its bloodlust was in full swing. Just like that, it was glaring at the smoke around the area……

And then something happened. Something that was way faster and so sudden that even the ever-vigilant Drakarus Dinocerberus failed to notice it and respond in time.

「AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!]

It was even faster than a simple “throw”, but that’s exactly what happened. There was a “sword” that flew through the smoke screen and pierced the “Scarlet’s” middle head right between its eyes.

「This is……!!!]

Then there was a person who just happened to jump out from behind the smoke screen. The woman wearing her mourning clothes. They were all ragged up and in tatters, but even so, that woman just continued to run straight ahead.

Why is the woman alive? Why is she not dead? Why isn’t she burnt to cinders? In the eyes of the extremely intelligent AI of “Scarlet”, the answer it managed to arrive was Memento Mori ── a greatsword that was slammed into the ground and then used to shield its user from the full force of the heat impact. And there is also a high-grade potion at play here, one that Sanraku had in his inventory just in case he would ever need it in a crisis situation. But it was not digested, like any Player out there would normally do. Instead, Sanraku crushed to the bottle and poured its contents all over his body.

The thing that the black mourning dress R.I.P goes up against is healing from any method other than slaughter of enemies. So naturally, the scorching heat would prove to be less effective than it normally would be. And so, after Sanraku drizzled himself with the HP recovery potion the black clothes started to slowly melt away, leaving him completely exposed with one HP left. He then started to run and sprang into action.

Wearing death as clothing. Wielding death in his hands. Sanraku then ran forward, through the smoke covering the area and thrusted the Memento Mori forward…… Hitting the Dragon-Killer sword that was still being lodged in between the eyes of “Scarlet”…… pushing the blade forward and making it sink deeper and deeper into the “Scarlet’s” flesh, until only the handle was left sticking out of it.

「Die, you piece of shiiiiiiiiittttttttt!!!!!!!!!]

What happens when you swing a hammer right into an iron nail being lodged into the bark of a tree?

Forgetting that Aradval Rebuild might break to pieces in the process, Sanraku gave it all of his strength to make sure that his dragon-killing sword would go even deeper, until it would eventually reach its designated mark.

And that was the end of this long battle.

* * *

No matter how far you seem to be from death, you can never completely escape it.

You may have millions of HP, you may have HP regen that can bring you back to life from the most grievous of wounds and injuries, and be completely invincible to damage or have crazy attacks resistance……… But if your HP falls to zero, you will surely die. That’s just how it is when it comes to life, no matter how strong you are, you can’t do anything once that life is no more. And if you end up disappearing, that’s about it.

「Goodbye, “Scarlet”. It was nice knowing you.]

I have used up the Elixir in order to survive the explosion. It just couldn’t be helped, so it was something that just couldn’t be helped.

For all that I know, more Drakarus Dinocerberai can be born in the future. Hell, they might even come in greater numbers than one at a time.

But still, we might have fought together against the Great Red Devourer, but this is the end of that shared path for us. I am the one who is left standing, and I can only offer you a single prayer as you depart from this world……Still, those words of farewell were only secondary here, because first and foremost was the roar of victory that escaped from my throat.

The giant body groans slightly, trembles once, and then loses all of its power…… And then it shatters into a myriad of particles of light right before the break of dawn, having the morning sun peeking through the clouds swept by the north wind as its witness.

And that was the end of this mortal battle to the death…… That was the end of Drakarus Dinocerberus, otherwise known as “Scarlet”.
