ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

–––––– Following the trail of my corpses, I follow the tunnel until I reach the end of a huge hole. It was then that I was able to gaze upon the sky for the very first time. Seeing it for the first time made me think just how beautiful the world is…… and it also made me think just how ugly I truly was in comparison.

At that moment I was assaulted with variety of emotions, suffering being the biggest one of them all. Just how many versions of me managed to escape this place before I did? Was it eight? Or maybe nine? What remained in me after that was only disgust and despair, as well as……

When it comes to the best thing in this situation right now, that would of course be nothing more but affirming the safety of her Master. But for as long as she was no longer able to fulfill that singular purpose for her existence, she had no other choice but to entrust that task to someone who would be strong enough to succeed in doing just that.

But the next question here was; who would be worthy of being entrusted such an important role? And the answer to that question was also simple: it would be someone who has managed to help her Master expand her horizons.

The AI governing the actions of the white snake is the same kind that governs the actions of all other monsters…… But at the same time, there was also a small percentage of that AI that has been altered slightly, to accommodate the algorithms that govern the behavioral patterns of NPCs. The white snake is still unable to express its emotions or to possess the computing power on the same level as realistic humanoid NPCs, but it is still able to conduct small loss and profit calculations, as well as perceive others as either an ally or a threat.

「Wait, what the!? Sammy-chan-san!? What are you…… Hey! What the hell! Let me out!!]

The white snake was more than perfectly aware of the current situation.

This human called Sanraku is certainly a reliable person, but at the rate in which things are unfolding he is going to die soon enough.

Yes, the white snake is more than perfectly aware of the current situation.

Sigma, that stone-like humanoid being who follows that human called Sanraku, is also the right choice for someone who is going to be able to make sure that her Master would survive this current situation.

Yes, the white snake is more than perfectly aware of the current situation.

The moment that human called Sanraku dies and disappears from this field, in that very same moment that stone-like humanoid being called Sigma is going to disappear from the battlefield as well.

「But wait, what’s more important, why the hell are you even here, Sammy-chan-san!? No wait, there’s something even more important…… What about Wimp!? The fact that I’m the only one who is inside of your mouth at the current moment means that Wimp was left somewhere else, wasn’t she……?]

But then, what should I do here? No, what is it that I should do? What to do then. What should i do? What should be done in here in order to accomplish the goal that we have set for ourselves?

「Aaahhh, geez! So it’s really going to be like that, huh!? Seriously now!? Well god fucking damn it!! Did you hear it just now, Sigma!? In a completely unexpected turn of events, it would seem that our moron Wimp actually failed to get the fuck out of this place! Listen to me now, and listen well! You can use whatever it is that sits in that Inventory of yours! I don’t really care! So go find that stupid Wimp and get her the hell out of here before the stupid shit actually manages to get herself into a harm’s way, or even gets herself eaten!!]

─── That answer happened to be the correct answer in here.

The white snake rushes forward with renewed determination, feeling tremendous joy that this human being managed to come to a conclusion after screaming it out loud that happened to also be the “best” course of action that she wanted for her Master.

「─── What the hell, do you think you are trying to do here?]

The white snake could feel that something managed to latch onto her tail just now. Of course she tried to shake that something right off of her tail by force, but the moment she did that, she could feel that her tail was being ripped to shreds by whatever it was that was still firmly latched onto it.

But no matter what happens, she knew that she had to keep that human alive. And the more human beings she manages to save from death, the greater her Master’s chances for survival. If she manages to save that human being called Sanraku, chances are that the stone-like human figure called Sigma is going to take her Master far away from here, towards safety. Preferably somewhere with lots of other people who would be able to keep her safe. So her greatest priority at the current moment was to keep Sanraku alive, so that the stone-like Sigma could grab her Master and safely make her escape with her out of here.

At that exact moment she could see someone who looked just like her Master, but was not actually her Master at all. She then saw that creature biting her fangs right into her transparent scales, and right after that the potent poison started to flow through her body, stiffening her muscles and halting the blood flow. Every time she was thrashing her tail in an attempt at shaking the creature off, another portion of her flesh would be torn off of it and the sudden burst of pain would bloom in a warm wave at that area. But still, she would not stop, even for a moment. She was still moving forward. She needed to avoid the trees and make sure that the human being inside of her mouth would survive for as long as possible ––––––!!!

「I don’t really understand just what is going on anymore, but for the time being it seems that trying to escape is way more of a hassle than it’s actually worth, huh? Wouldn’t you agree?]

「I don’t know. Don’t ask me.]

「Yeah, I thought as much, huh? And that is exactly why…… You know? So, Isuna-chan…… Shoot away.]

「Yes, yes, alright, alright…… The head? That’s the place where I should aim, right?]

─── I can no longer see using my eyes.

And immediately after that thought occurs to me, I could also feel that something violently crushed into my head.

「Uwaah!?]

TWACK! There was a terribly loud sound of impact all of a sudden, and as a result of that my HP got slightly reduced.
