ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

And seeing how those Poison Maidens were grinning their razor—sharp teeth from the inside of their torn mouths, they were also well aware of this situation as well.

─── At some point, Nine’s right arm, who was teaming up with August, was cleanly cut off.

At the current moment August was crying her eyes out, something that even the harsh nature and looks of her avatar were no longer able to conceal. She was also mindlessly swinging her weapons around, but even though they were rather huge and sharp, she was not really succeeding in striking any enemies. And the AI of the enemies was not so stupid as to just let her score a free hit after free hit just like that. After all, this isn’t that sweet of a game here.

─── Both legs of the “Lady” who was teaming up with Shu have been eaten up.

And the moment he has witnessed that first-hand, Shuu-san stopped moving his body completely. As a result of this freeze-up, his motionless body was jumped by a huge amount of Poison Maidens and soon disappeared under the literal mountain of poison that piled up all over him. They were also the ones who should have had that double-headed snake with them, but at the current moment it was nowhere to be seen.

The only thing that was clearly visible there was the mountain-load of Poison Maidens. But what was dwelling at its core, I wonder? I am more than sure that if you were to try and dig it up from under there, there wouldn’t even be any bones or scraps of meat left for anyone else to collect.

But those were the other Players. As for me…… at the current moment I am also surrounded by the literal mountain-load of Poison Maidens, so I can say that my current situation was starting to look bleaker and bleaker with every second.

And thanks to the Arcana of the Fool being in the Revered Position, none of my skills have come off cooldown at the current moment. So I can say that right about now I resent that effect more than ever. This shit with the Fool Arcana is genuinely starting to fuck me over! So next time I see that old geezer Arkanum or what’s his name, I’m going to give him a piece of my mind alright!

But before that was about to happen……

「Sigma, do it.]

「Certification Obtained: Flash Bombing Start “Stan Bomba” Start!]

A few seconds later, just as the Poison Maidens were on the verge of thrusting their fangs into my body…… The stun grenade dropped over a wide area and detonated all at once and filled everything with a bright flashbang effect.

「Sigma! First, the arm! Second, the leg! Do it with a whole lot of spirit!]

Did you really think that I was going to be dealing with all of those Poison Maidens all on my own!? Their entire bodies might be made out of poison, but they can move their limbs, necks and eyes as any normal humanoid being could. So if you were somehow able to blind them and cause their eyes to become useless, then theoretically it should be able to render them useless to use their homing abilities…… In other words, they are completely reliant on visual data in order to attack. And that’s their weakness.

「Roger that: Ignoring the Overload and executing the order…… Good luck, Master.]

「Just leave it to me! Even if I need to survive for more than half-a-day, this is exactly what I am going to do here!]

After carrying out a large-scale bombardment using stun grenades from up above, Sigma descended towards the ground at tremendous speed. Then, she flew by the two friendly Goldunines while pushing the violently thrashing Poison Maidens to the sides, red damage effects spilling out from their wounds.

With that action alone, we could at least secure the safety of our Goldunines. This is actually the least I can do in order to help out my companions, as well as to apologize to them for dragging them into this mess. That is also why I’m sorry, August…… I might still be breathing here, but the truth is that I am likely about to die in a moment or two.

「Now then, I guess that since the number of possible targets have decreased, those things are going to focus on me even more from now on……]

Since the Bossdunine used the words “Centurion” here specifically, this probably means that there are going to be about one hundred Poison Maidens on this field at the current moment. And that is not counting the dragon-snake amongst their ranks. …… And of course there is Bossdunine herself to be concerned about. If I happen to die here, Sigma the Conquest Doll is going to be brought back into my inventory, and coming here all the way back from the frontline base where I have made a save takes at least thirty minutes of travel time……

「So dying here is pretty much equal to becoming checkmated.]

There are way too many of them. They are way too big in size. And most importantly, they are way too strong. In this situation where quality was about to be utterly defeated by the quantity, just how long am I really capable of struggle all on my own……?

But still, fully intent on living through this ordeal, I hold my Scorpion Gauntlets up and get ready to fight against the Poison Maidens who could easily be mistaken for real beauties if it wasn’t for their ghastly looks, the color of their skin and those fangs and talons they had going on for them……

And it was precisely at that moment.

「Huh? What the hell!?]

The Poison Maiden all of a sudden got blown away like bowling pins, pushed aside by something that rushed to my side from outside of their ring. And when I turned my gaze towards that something, I could see a seriously injured snake with its mouth wide open, about ready to swallow me whole……

Wait! No, wait, seriously now! Just wait a freaking moment! Pause button! Where the hell is the pause button when you need it the most!? And why the hell are you even here in the first place, Sammy-chan-san!?!?!?!?!?!?
