ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Listen here, Sanraku, and you’d better listen well here. This very earth right here is the New Continent. There are various races living here, and the ones who are prospering the most out of them all are the ones who have sworn blood oaths and exchanged drinks with Pops. That’s the natural order around those parts.」

「But isn’t that……?」

Isn’t that basically how yakuza rolls? Or how organized crime grows in power and influence?

「Surely you must remember that. Cait Seith are one of such races that have sworn the blood oath with Pops.」

「Cait Seith…… Ahh, now I see. Now I get it.」

So basically, that would mean that the races that are not at all the top dogs around these parts have formed a coalition of sorts, right? But is that a coalition of only small animal-like creatures who can speak human language? I think I have heard that something like this exists in here way back then. Who was that who said that to me? Was that some “Library” member? Or was it some other Player entirely? Not that it really matters.

「So basically, this thing is supposed to give you directions towards the place where the representatives of all of the Coalition members are gathering. You should go there if you will ever have the time.」

「Come to think about it, Pops also wanted me to tell you this…… Things are starting to move, and the time draws near.」

「The time draws near?」

Break keeps staring at the melted part of the wall for a while longer, and then she turns her way towards me. Her gaze was not that filled with anger. It was also not the look of sadness. But the way in which she was looking at me right now…… There was something in those eyes of hers, something completely inorganic, or perhaps even enlightened? I don’t know just how can I possibly put this, but at the very least it was a completely different look from her usual one.

「Brave Pioneer Sanraku, a huge gust of wind is about to blow. A gust of wind so huge and so powerful that it’s going to turn the very Earth inside out and swallow the seas whole…… And it is our intention…… No, it is Pops’ intention to go against that wind and beat it. That is why he doesn’t wish to see Emul for now. And that is why……」

「Say, Break?」

「What is it?」

It would seem that both Break and Weissash got in the weird mood and started to talk about some seriously heavy stuff. Then it is all the more unfortunate that I…… No, WE the Pioneers are a bunch that always go into battle with the notion of giving it our very best and putting our lives at stake with no regrets and hard feelings left behind. So unfortunately for the Vorpal Bunnies, getting all serious all of a sudden and talking like that is only going to trigger one particular response inside of me: “Oh shit. Did I just happened to step on some sort of a flag or something?” And nothing more.

「We are just a group of idiots who only know how to run straight ahead of us, full throttle and no breaks. No matter if we are running with the wind, or if we are going against it all the time. Always forward, no matter what. That’s just how we are.」

「……………」

「So no matter if it is a huge monstrosity, or the wind itself that is coming our way…… I’d say let it come right at us! And we are going to face it head on!」

Even if some new grand monster makes an appearance soon, either be it a Unique Monster or some new Raid Monster, I am more than sure that the current playerbase it’s going to be able to fight back against it, with a reasonable chance as successfully defeating it. And even if that grand cataclysm turns out to be even harder to defeat, there are always Non-Standard Tactical Warbeasts that we can use in order to give ourselves all the advantage we need. Oh well, not that I expect something akin to the final boss, or at least the end-game boss to be intend on going down that easily. Worst case scenario, the monster that we might go against is going to be something that we will need an entire army of skilled players, utilizing advanced tactics that will require previously unheard of cooperation and coordination……

「…… Oh well, I guess that there is really no need to be scared of the inevitable. It’s going to come at us sooner or later, but that doesn’t really change anything. We still have things that needs to be done, and we can only focus on getting them done the best we can.」

「Oh yeah, which reminds me! I have brought you the Golden Magma that you requested earlier! So let’s talk about making some sort of a weapon out of it, huh? What do you say to that?」

「Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa! Careful with that stuff now, for crying out loud……」

It was then that Break started to wave her hands at me, telling me to actively get out of her way. It seems that now that she had the Golden Magma in her hands, she was about to start the serious work near the furnace for good. Goodness gracious…… For a conversation-based event, this surely was a long and rather complicated one. There surely were some important terms and matters being mentioned, but I felt like if it was happening in any other game, I would have skipped the whole thing about eight times or so. But if we are talking about the World Quest perspective, Goldunine should be our next target, isn’t that right? No, but since we are on that particular subject…… Isn’t there some sort of special order for taking down the Unique Monsters? No, I feel like it was only with Siegwurm, the Heavenly Emperor there was a compulsory series of events that were accompanying it……

「Yeah, let’s focus on Goldunine and try to take her down…… I managed to obtain the Golden Magma, but I get a feeling that we are still in need of more materials…… No, it might actually be a good idea to mass-produce those Golden Buckets while I am still at it…… Ahh, but what about the quest in search of True Dragon to be concerned about……」

Ehhh, uhhh, hmmhh……

Seriously now, whatever am I supposed to do with this game?
