ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

On that particular day, a single screenshot was more than enough to send tremors throughout the world of ShangriLa Frontier and shake its player base down to their very core ––––––

[Ah, hey now! What does it mean that you want to go to the New Continent so suddenly, Aku-chan!!?]

One of the trap Players said after they were down with checking the condition of their gauntlets, a real piece of work that was forged in battle and being through the countless circles of defeating its enemies, being repaired, being strengthened and then deployed into battle once again. She then put the gauntlets back into her inventory where they would safely await their next great battle.

Their aim was the city of Fifthisia…… and what was beyond that city, beyond the isolated ocean expanse. A New Continent that has not yet been properly mapped out, discovered and cultivated.

[…… Please, don’t even try to stop me! There are situations in this life where you simply need to do what must be done!]

[I was not even planning on doing that in the first place…… No, wait! But what about the thing that we can do right here!? What about the Kingdom Riot!?]

[Yeah, that’s right! It is said that we can fight the former Royal Family camp and their supporters for more or less four days and four nights! What else is there that we could possibly want!?]

All-Nighters. It is a term that refers to a terrifying group of warriors who can fight and play for more than twenty four hours straight without taking a moment of a break, especially if the content is all about interpersonal battles.

But when one of those terrifying warrior suddenly declared that they wanted to skip on that interpersonal fight festival completely and go do something else, there was no way that people around him would just stay quiet about it. They had to at least know the reason and what was going on.

[Huh? It’s not something connected to your real world situation, right? You wanting to go to the New Continent, that is?]

[No, it’s not. It’s just that…… Yes, I just really want to go to the New Continent right about now.]

Why are you being obsessed with that particular point!? Or you know what? I don’t even want to know!]

Principles. Ideas. Desires. Promises. Friendships. Warrior’s Code……

There are times when one’s reasons for doing something cannot possibly be explain in simple words and terms. It’s just the way it is. However, if this person was to summarize his reasons for wanting to go to the New Continent right now, it would probably be something alongside the lines of ––––––

[─── A beautiful young girl is asking for my help!]

[Hey, wait a minute, Aku-chan!? That’s not an explanation! That’s not an explanation at all!]

[Ah, maybe this is the reason why our Aku-chan-san wants to go to the New Continent so badly?]

[A Bulletin Board of some sort?]

[What the hell is this, even……? Huh? Ablino beautiful young girl! Goldunine located in the New Continent…… Wait a moment, GOLDUNINE!?]

If you want to spend your entire life running through the world night after night, why not do so in company of a beautiful young girl? It’s only a commons sense, isn’t it?

[Huh? What’s this? An e-mail from Survival?]

The one who happened to receive that message was in fact a Player Killer. Now, they were thinking about it for a while before they eventually decided to give the e-mail a look, and the hand that was used to take the life of so many fellow Pioneer Players casually opened the message.

[The New Continent…… Huh……?]

Player Killing, or PK for short, is a grave sin even under the law of Einvulus family, the rulers of the country established and ruled solely by the NPCs in this game. Naturally, it is almost borderline impossible for a hardened Player Killer to be able to come on board the New Continent Research Vessel and travel all the way over there in a regular and ordinary matter. Not to mention that because of the recent announcement of the Kingdom Mayhem Special Event, the number of vessels travelling towards the New Continent basically managed to drop to zero.

[Is this supposed to be a message of some sort? Or maybe an invitation? The date and the time given in this are also rather specific……]

Sure, all the information regarding dates, time, and places seemed to be genuine articles, but what if there were some small lies mixed into them here and there? It’s not like it was something from the realm of the impossible.

Survival may be regarded as the “Bikini Idiot” at the current moment, but it is true that his skills in Player Versus Player combat are genuine and second to none, even causing some of the Player Killers to look up towards him as a role model. And now this same Survival is announcing that he is organizing something akin to a huge event and he is even inviting the Player Killers to join him in doing that…… and at the same time he also mentions that he is able to provide some means of transportation for the Player Killers all the way to the New Continent. That is basically what the message was saying.

[A Unique Monster, huh……? I was unfortunately unable to even participate in the battle against Siegwrum, the Heavenly Emperor, so I was actually about ready to give up about the Unique Monsters entirely, but…… I guess that if I have the chance to actually participate in a battle like that, I should actually make use of that chance.]

If there was one this that this girl has always wanted, it was to be able to hit other people with the full force of her desires, without actually causing harm to her real life self-esteem and public opinion while doing just that. The girl who made her debut as a Player Killer in search of such a stimulus at the time thought that she has already wasted her chance at finding a place just like that, but it was also then that she had found a kind teacher who introduced her to the wonders of the Player Versus Player warfare and showed her the ropes when she was just starting out. Ever since then, she decided to ride those waves of Player Killing to actually see where they could possibly take her.

[Oh, that’s right! I wonder if I should also invite Chi-chan and Sora-chan? Since we are all probably going to go there, anyways.]

There is an old saying out there that says that the connections between different people are like a thread. So if you happen to pull on one such thread, you are bound to also be pulling on three or four or even more of those threads.

Plus, who said that the response to every single invitation like that has to be positive? So if she was to accept that invitation, it was entirely possible that she might get an unexpected bonus here and there.
