ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

─── Being born is a cry of both grief and pain.

* * *

Goldunine the Inexhaustible. The strongest reptile in the entire world. You can even say that Goldunine is the synonymous of the strongest reptile. But wasn’t Siegwrum the strongest? I guess that dragons are technically NOT considered as reptiles…… probably?

「What the? Huh? What……]

「It’s the Big Boss itself! If you don’t want to die, do everything in you power to not die! Failing to do so will cause you to die instantly!]

This calls for deploying the Special Affairs weapon right off the bat! I point the muzzle of the state-of-the-art Aerial PD at the enemy and shoot without a moment of hesitation. It’s a quickdraw technique I developed during my time in the world of Bakumatsu Online. However, the bullet that was fired was caught by the poisonous purple sphere that appeared in the air as if it was exuded from the void before it managed to hit the target’s forehead. And then it started to sizzle violently and eventually dissolved into nothing. Even though it was supposed to be a magic bullet……

「Now then…… The Update should have already finished installing, right? So now it should be the version 5.06……!]

Games that are updated frequently often get those numbers after a come once they are out. One digit after a come pertains to some major changes. Two digits inform that there is a number of smaller changes, and if you see the update with a three digits after a coma, it usually indicates a shitload of changes and bug fixes, usually pertaining to a myriad of smaller things and items. So it is said that the best things in life can be obtained solely from the single digit updates, and everything else is just small Quality of Life changes that might or might not be good.

Right about now I do not even dare to call Wimp’s name. Sammy-chan-san’s complete stealth is the trump card that Wimp has over her possible enemies, so I really wish that she could use that opportunity to get the hell out of here…… But it seems that this would be easier said than done.

「What, why!? What is this!?]

「Get your shit together, August! So you’ve been crawling on the ground for a while now! That thing is “Goldunine the Inexhaustible”, the enemy we were intending to face! So you’d better make sure that you do not die before you contribute something to the battle! Otherwise you might want to die right here on the spot if you are too sacred to even get up!]

Now then, whatever am I supposed to do here? This situation is so disastrously bad that it makes me want to laugh.

The rumbling of the ground is not stopping, the trees were starting to get knocked down, and the linear cracks forming on the surface of the ground on ridiculous scale looked as if they were slowly crawling their way towards us……?

「I see some very nostalgic faces in here. As well as some truly unpleasant ones……]

「If it isn’t a salmon with no fat and no taste to it.]

When it comes to the attack patterns of Goldunine the Inexhaustible, it can be said that it is somewhat similar to the generic playstyle of Holy Sword user. It is not nearly as expandable as compared to Sword Saint, but she can create poison in the void and transform it to enable ranged or close quarter attacks, and can carry out different abilities for each type of attack. And needless to say, this particular Goldunine is capable of elevation all of the above to a completely new height.

Before, when I fought her in the tunnels under Rabbitz, even though I was not nearly as strong as I am now, it took myself, Rei-san and Akitsu Akane to not die against this thing, and even so we were barely managing to keep ourselves alive. So this time, even though I am stronger now, I’m afraid that the situation might as well repeat itself……

Goldunine the Inexhaustible is right in front of me…… I mean, I am going to keep calling her Bossdunine for short. And of course, she has her favorite four Naga-snake right behind her. But where are the remaining three? It seems like one of them is encircling us all from the distance, creating some sort of special battlefield…… But that makes two. So where are the other two? Are they still in hiding? It makes things easier for now, but if they keep on appearing over time, we might be in some serious trouble. But it’s still better than being ambushed by them completely out of the blue.

「Hmm? What’s wrong, did the number of your children suddenly decreased……? Could it be that they have overslept?]

「Fu, fu, fu……]

Far away, there was the sound of the earth splitting apart. Turning my gaze slightly towards the direction where the trees have been knocked down and I can see better, there is a figure of a dragon-snake that suddenly appeared from the direction of the frontline base. Nice, so now the chance of getting surprised attacked is down by fifty percent!

「Huh, talk about one hell of a cheeky behavior……]

「Think of it as playing with your food before the meal. Me too, me too, and all of you…… Try to hurt me if you can.]

Whoa there, that’s one hell of a killing gaze! It’s actually freezing! Too bad that my motivation is burning bright! Not to mention that I am more than ready to do this, with my preparations completed, buffs applied, and Riot Blood coursing through my veins to give me that nice power boost that I am in dire need of right about now!

「Wild Fighting Spirit “Wild Aura”…… The Great Monkey “Kong”!!]

「Huh? Ahh, umm, “H-Hustle Routine”!!!]

At this point in time, it would seem that both August and Shuu finally understood that this was not a battle from which they could just pull back and run away. Each of them prepares for battle with a lineup that surrounds Bossdunine from three directions.

「Goldunine’s main attack pattern consists of a variety of ranged attacks, as well as using those dragon-snakes Nagas and poison. There are two types of poison, “Paralyzing” and “Toxic”…… and when the poison turns black, run away from it as far as possible, since it gives you a “Curse” as well.]

「Understood!]

「Huh, what the, umm……]

Oh, sorry to say that, August, but that’s a direct hit if I have ever seen one. Hurry up now, grab the antidote and use it!

As for me, I activate the Levin Trigger / Disaster Hand accelerate at once.

Her poison bullets are a shitty technique that you do not know what form of attack it will take until the very moment it transforms itself. As far as I can remember, there seem to be four basic patterns here: “hand”, “sword”, “spear”, and “bomb”…… After all, the Unique Scenario EX also shown me some patterns that I have actually never seen before, but it was probably because the flag that had progressed due to the occurrence of some trigger that was unknown to me at the time.

「Hyii.]

Whoa, August? Is it just me, or do you have like, zero resistance to Terror attacks? Are action movies with splatter horror elements out of your range?

With a loud sound, a pair of humanoid arms pops out of the poison ball, and the sphere part takes the shape of the human upper body while dripping poison all over the place. Then after a moment it took the shape of a woman…… but the sight of a human upper body floating in the air, made of venom without its lower body, is the kind of horror that we could call body horror to say the least. I mean, who thought that something like that is going to be okay during the development phase? Not that I’m complaining……
