ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

But even though August was the one who proposed this meeting in the first place, she was nowhere to be seen. And in response to my question about it, the Goldunine who was teaming up with her…… What was her name? Nine? He told me the reason why she was absent was because she wanted to keep her safe distance from me.

I see, then we should avoid making any unnecessary moves, since it could end up really bad. Even if they are a Player who managed to reach the New Continent, you cannot really judge elementary schoolers the same way you do the adults. All the more since in this game there is sometimes no actual way to tell the difference thanks to the way in which the avatars are customized.

And it is exactly when you are about to lose to someone of the lower rank than your own you will be overcome with a strong urge to actually raise all of your stats excessively high. And I even know people who are like that myself. Right, my dear Katsu-kun?

「Alright then…… Hey there, Shuu-san!]

At the current moment it doesn’t really look like anyone is in the mood for talking? Alright then, it’s high time to actually break that silence and liven up the place!

Hmmmmmm, ahhh, ahhh, ekhem! According to what Deepslaughter once said, It is important to strongly imagine what the voice that you are going to do is going to sound like. However, I am nowhere near as perverted as she is, so I can’t really use a perverted technique to change my voice to that of another person’s…… but I can do it like this. Yeah.

「Kokkokkokkokko……]

「…… Huh?]

At the moment I could see Shuu-san’s head turning towards the source of the sound that I just made, I have replaced the bird head that I was currently wearing with the salmon head that I have been carrying around in my inventory for quite some time now.

「Kokeko!!!]

「Bufuh!?]

And here it is! Sanraku-san’s realistic chicken squealing made with a salon head! It’s another one of the party tricks that I have managed to create, and one that is one and only…… One and only is the best form of performances, after all. Especially if you are unable to replicate them.

「So? Are you going to tell us you Lady’s name? Because I don’t think you ever did that before.]

「……………]

Kuh, I actually do not have a one-shot gag that could fit Goldunine that well…… I’ve tried it several times with a Wimp as my target, but the surreal gag basically doesn’t work because it’s basically a point to laugh at the gap in someone’s sensitivity. And making gags like that is not all that effective against a creature who is not familiar with the human culture in the first place.

Now, I wonder what exactly might have happened……

「…… you. You……]

「Hmm?]

「Yes, you…… What exactly do you want to do about her?]

「Huh?]

Hearing Shuu-san’s sudden words, I tilt my head slightly. The question that he just asked me seemed to be a little bit too abstract, even for someone like him. However, the look on Shuu-san’s face was as serious as they come, so it would seem that it was not a mere roleplaying attempt on his part……

「What do I want to do? What do you mean by……]

It was at that exact time.

「Ah! I can see that you have managed to arrive properly and on time! And you didn’t even get the place wrong?]

「August, just where are you going……]

Seeing August making a sudden appearance from between the tall grass with a really stupid expression on her face, everyone currently present came to a complete halt…… Hm, no, no it’s not like that. Shuu-san might not have been aware of this, but it seems that “Goldunines” were aware just fine.

Hmm, I see. Am I the only one who really gets it in here?

「…… It means what you wanted to do here, Shuu.]

「Huh?]

The two-headed snake near Shuu-san and his friend raised their heads with all their strength all at once. At the same time, the sleeves of Nine’s robe which were long enough to easily conceal her hands in them, were showing some rather unusual movements. It looked very much like something was being put inside of them, or was wriggling its way inside.

And then the appearance of the Wimp suddenly disappeared completely…… No, it’s not that. The fangs and oral cavity that I saw for a brief moment out there indicated that Sammy-chan-san, who was in a complete stealth mode until just now, swallowed Wimp whole and hid her away inside of her own body.

「It’s only a matter of course that I teamed up with Wimp and her guy. After all, there is only one original goal that is in my mind. One, and one only.]

A white girl who smiles broadly and brightly appears from behind August. She was looking around at every single person and snake here as if measuring them or licking them all over, looking as though she was having so much fun doing just that.

─── The very ground started to shake.

「Were you actually aiming for the surprise element here? That’s fine and all, but did you really think that a surprise attack would be all it takes to crush us?]

「…… Fufu, fufufufufufufu.]

This girl is none other than “Goldunine”.

Perhaps August made a fatal misunderstanding here. Perhaps the “enemy Goldunine” that Nine and Wimp should fight against is way scarier than anyone could have imagined.

For a moment out there she must have wondered if this “Goldunine” would be the same as the cute-looking Nine and Wimp. Now, I don’t want to call August here any names, because if I were to do that, I would have call myself those names as well. Because I never would have thought that the attack would actually come from the other side of the barricade.

Ahhh, yeah, that’s right. I mean, the Nightprowler Luukan was just that same way. So why would I even think for a moment that this particular Unique Monster would be different?

Because the Gravekeeper Wezaemon was the same way.

Because that was the case with Kutanid of the Abyss as well.

Because Siegwrum, the Heavenly Emperor was awfully close to being like that.

Because that was exactly the case with Orchestra.

Because for the time being Weissash is considered to be just an NPC.

So it was our grave and fatal misunderstanding that from now on we would be the ones who would decide when we would challenge the remaining Unique Monsters.

She laughs. The woman laughs against the background of the soil and the big tree that are both lifted by the uplift from directly below in the shaking that resembles a mighty earthquake.

「Now then, are we doing this or not? Everything, everything…… Don’t rest until everything is destroyed, my Brave Heroes.]

The dragon snakes Nagas breaks through the ground one after another and look up, and once their nictitating membranes open, the overwhelming murderous intent that dwells in the snakes’ eyes starts to ooze out into their immediate surroundings.

The Unique Monster Goldunine the Inexhaustible laughed and cackled maniacally as the Sea of Trees area around her started to collapse and degrade violently.

The sun is slowly starting to set.
