ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

The Special License Exam.

In short, I am only doing this so that I can gain even more edge in battle than anyone else…… And in this case, if everything goes as planned here, my Civilian Auxiliary Weapon “Aguacate” is going to be strengthened on the spot, but in order for that to happen, I must make sure that I satisfy three conditions of the license exam while doing so within the given time limit.

The first condition: destroy the seven target decoys in the field.

The second condition: defeat the Mecha monster called “Agent Testers” that appears in the field at the moment of the exam’s start.

And the third condition: you have to clear the above two conditions without dying even once.

「Hmm, I see…… It doesn’t sound all that bad, but the “Do no die” condition seems to be really ramping up the difficulty in here.]

「THE SPECIAL OPERATIONS ADENT LICENSE WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO BE DISTRIBUTED AMONGS THE PEOPLE FROM THE AGE OF THE GODS EXCLUSIVELY, SO YOU NEXT GENERATION HUMAN BEINGS MIGHT NOT ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE THAT THIS LICENSE CARRIES WITH ITSELF, BUT….. THE SPECIAL OPERATION AGENTS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE, ACCORDDING TO THE WORDS OF DOCTOR AMATSUKI HERSELF, “JUST LIKE THE ANCIENT HEROES”. AND THEY WERE EXPECTED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A MANNER THAT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THAT. AS A MATTER OF FACT, EACH WEAPON ON THIS LIST IS LIKE THE LEGACY OF A HERO, MAKING SURE THAT THEIR MISSON WOULD BE CARRIED FORWARD EVEN AFTER THEY WOULD NO LONGER BE ABLE TO SERVE THEIR PEOPLE.]

「Hey, the Special Field Operators that do not die? How cool is that?]

「I GET A FEELING THAT YOU ARE SOMEHOW TAKING MY WORDS OUT OF CONTEXT, BUT AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE INTENDED EFFECT, THEN I GUESS I DON’T MIND……]

It seems to be fun to use those guys as convenient flesh shields or decoys, or maybe to make them into suicide bombers, which would make the process of fighting that more efficient and would limit the possible losses in men. However, I have only thought about those options. I did not wanted to risk my Vorpal Soul meter taking a huge drop due to me saying that out loud.

Now then, just how are we going to do this thing? Since this Fully Automated Forehead Flick is a continuous shooting magazine type, I wonder if Aguacate would dare to make it a Magic Charge Type as well……? I know that Yashiro Bird told me that the continuous magazines are better than the Magic ones, but it’ a matter similar to inventory versus the INVENTORY. Anyways, it is a premise that an infinite inventory is packed into a small space that is the magazine, and that it can be loaded instantly by human power with a movement that seems to be a magic trick or something else like that.

The biggest advantage of the Magic Charge Type magazine is the shortening of the movement needed to reload. Unlike the real world, where you only need to hit someone with a bullet to the head and that’s pretty much it. But in games you can do so much more than that. However, with all that power, guns can never actually become the protagonists. But at the very least, in my current Player build, they can certainly hope to become sidekicks for sure.

「The bullet speed is the highest form of efficiency that a gun can achieve…… No, but wouldn’t it be harder to deal with it if it would shift rather than making it the same as the Forehead Flick? If it’s just fast, it feels like it’s going to gouge the wound rather than penetrate it completely…… But oh well, I guess that it’s going to be a nice Non-Human weapon to have around.]

And that is how the Execution Equipment Type for Special Affairs: Guacamole (Provisional Name) is brought to completion. And after that this is going to be over with, by clearing the Special License Certification Exam this large caliber handgun will be officially rolled out into my personal arsenal.

「Alright then, let’s get this thing started, shall we, “Brave Fish”? I still have about two hours and twenty minutes left…… More than enough time to complete this Time Attack, if I do say so myself.]

「WELL THE, IN THAT CASE WE ARE GOING TO START THE SPECIAL LICENCE CERTIFICATION EXAM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION HUMAN BEING SANRAKU NOW! NOW PLEASE WAIT JUST A MOMENT AND LET THE TELEPORTATION PROCESS LEADING TO THE SPECIAL LICENSE CERTIFICATION EXAM’S AREA TO BE COMPLETED……]

Oh whoa, would that actually be one of those so-called ‘Now Loading’ situations that I have heard so much about?

* * *

There is a name on the market to the kind of strategy where one person is trying to fulfill as many goals at once during one quest. It is called “Look first, and then start making laps for it”.

The explanation here is that before you try to do anything else, you should familiarize yourself with your main goal, and then when you have done just that, you switch focus to the side objectives and start tackling them one by one. And as you get accustomed to that strategy, you can start tackling more and more objectives, but it needs to be a gradual process.

There is also a saying that originated way in the past, but that perfectly sums up this situation: that he who hunts two hares at once will catch neither. The meaning here is that you should never be greedy, and instead of trying to accomplish multiple goals at once, you are far better to just tackle them one by one.

However, my dear ancestors of old, let me ask you this question instead: what if the things that the hunter is chasing is not hares, but rather murder machines that actively try to kill the hunter with everything they have?

Yes, just like that. Just like the thing that is happening to me right now.

「Hahahahaha! You fools! At the very least you managed to save me the trouble of having to go and search for you!]

This monster right here is called Agent Tester, but when you really get down to it and try to describe its looks in a nutshell, it is basically a mechanical horse with tires instead of legs. But no, the way in which it moves about makes it more akin to a spider moving on four legs rather than a horse…… So wait, is it really just a horse leg-wise? It has a similar body shape that blasted Red Dragon Red Howl, but its legs are not nearly as long…… So is it a human on all fours (with really long arms)? I don’t really understand it all that well myself.

However, even though I might not understand what it is all that well, that doesn’t mean that I do not know what to do here. And what I need to do here is really simple: the Agent Tester is basically going to continue to give chase after you endlessly in order to kill.
