ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

After all, this is the interval before the last round. So you could even call this thing right here the last supper! And if it’s going to be the last one, better make sure to make it count, huh!?]

Yes, as I mentioned above, I’m a really humble person and a small meal is everything that I need in order to keep me nice and full and satisfied. Those small Raptor-like dinosaurs are going to make do just fine, so…… Yes, to hell with huge chunks of meat! It’s the quantity that I want right now, not quality!

And while it’s not like I can keep on using those flying slashes over and over again without any worries, but with their power increasing with the more kills I amass under my belt, it soon creates a situation where one projectile slash is able to kill multiple enemies at once and travel further and further.

I can hear the small fries involved in the Monster Train starting to scream like mad. It is a truly weird sound, one the likes of which I have never possibly heard before. And while I would very much like to take a look behind me and see exactly what is going on back there, I cannot really do that. I still have a job that I must do here, so I better focus all of my efforts on that task.

At the same time, “Scarlet” also wastes no time in trying to get back its depleted energy. So I cannot compromise much here, or else I risk getting left behind by a huge margin! So offer me up your lives! Embrace death that I bring to you! This black mourning dress is perfect for the task at hand! So allow me to recite you your last rites!

「Oh, you think that you can escape me? That’s so cute! Well, tough luck! That’s not going to happen! Not on my watch!]

Drakarus dinosaurs are a colonial species of monsters that tend to attack their prey in large groups, which serves to compensate for their small size. In other words, their individual power is not all that great, but their numbers more than makes up for that. In here we have a pack of almost fifty of those things, and I have heard that a pack of one hundred or one hundred fifty is more than capable enough of actually killing a way bigger specimen with ease.

Small fries in this Monster Train seem to be divided roughly in two major groups, each for about thirty dinosaurs in each group. And the way in which they were moving was really similar to the way in which the sushi was being served to you on a conveyor belt. If you are offering yourself to me like that, then I shall take you up on that offer! I use yet another flying projectile here and send it forward, and kill yet another three dinosaurs with it, adding three more to my overall kill score!

「More! More! Not enough! Give me more!]

Do not try to run away from me! It will only make you get a bullet placed right in you back!!! And just so you know, my aim is always spot on, not missing even once!

Good, good! I can finally feel it! I feel that surge of power that is going to be necessary in order to penetrate those pesky and hard scales! But with that being said, the time for waiting is now over! Now is the time for action! Change of weapons!!

…

………

……………

What seemed like a really dangerous and very noisy monster train a few moments ago was now turned into complete silence, the one which was undisturbed even by the sounds of corpses falling onto the ground or them breaking to pieces. The only ones who are left standing on this battlefield are the ones who were originally here in the first place.

Now then, just how many monsters I managed to kill in total? Honestly, after the counter exceeded the number of forty it was a genuine hassle to try and keep track of that number…… But there is one thing that I remember quite clearly here.

「It is more than enough to allow me to swing this little fella right here around with one hand!!!]

Memento Mori, remembering about death and eventual separation. It is an oversized sword that does not exactly fit the status and playstyle of someone like “Sanraku”. However, it was able to feed on many deaths today, and its tremendous weight has now been reduced to nothing more but a mere feather.

But on the other hand, the very moment that the user of this sword is going to die, its reduced weight is going to go back to how it was once before the Player fed it with death. So its not something that stays permanently, lest it would have been truly overpowered.

However, it seems that the “Scarlet” was also able to spend this little interval in an eventful and satisfying way.

And while I was busy doing my own thing and did not look its way, it would seem that the Tri-Headed Dinosaur managed to do some good amount of kills on its own. It was even exhaling even more white misty breath from its mouths right now, but I got a feeling that this effect was way different from its previous fatigue.

I don’t think it has fully recovered its HP bar, but it can be said that its stamina has been reset completely. On the other hand, due to the demerit effects of R.I.P., virtually all means of HP recovery has been blocked from me, aside from mob killing.

「But its all good. As long as my HP is not zero, I can manage just fine.]

When it comes to HP it can only be either one or zero. And then we have the amount of HP required to receive some fixed damage. However, in this battle, almost all of the shots are considered to be a lethal damage, so one HP is more than enough.

「Now then, the dawn is nearly upon us, “Scarlet”! It’s time for the final round! Let’s do this!]
