ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「But it’s all good…… Even if my head is spinning and I feel weird, it’s all good.]

This is what high tension of battling for the duration of the entire night does to you. If I lose here right now, I know I will be so frustrated that it will probably traverse the “Kicking the trashcan” all over the place like it happened for the past three days. But if I manage to win in this state, I will be able to grin with a laugh like never before! In fact, it would be a satisfaction far greater than singlehandedly extermination that Guerilla Corps led by Survival on that Deserted Island all that time ago.

「Die! Die, die!!!]

And then comes an explosion. By launching the skills that I do not know how many times I have used until now, the acceleration force is further reinforced and I was able to quickly get right in the “Scarlet’s” face. This acceleration power, as well as this avoidance power is like balancing on a really thin thread that keeps my life in this world from falling into the dark abyss.

Die, just die, just hurry it up and die already! I keep on swinging my sword while putting all of my feelings, which are closer in nature to a grudge, into the sword I hold in my hands. However, it’s a few times already where I thought this beast was about ready to keel over, but nothing of the sort ended up happening…… So it must still be ways before its HP are finally going to hit that “Zero” mark.

Maybe this really is impossible after all? I mean, if the upper limit of defense is increased more than tenfold, I will have to reproduce the damage I managed to dish out over the course of the last five hours all over again.

「Fuuh, fukukukukuku, fuhahaha, ahahahahaha!!!!!!]

Oh shit, since my voice is that of a female version of myself, that laugh just now came out way more psychotic than I meant it to be. The smile is important thing, you can survive almost anything in this world if you brave the hardships with a smile, but I guess that it is true when they say that the line between being sane and being crazy is a really thin one!

As long as I am not one-shotted here, I can continue to deal damage on my own without stopping. As long as you are able to keep on inflicting the damage, then even the weakest of the Players out there is going to be able to kill the Gods eventually. Whether it’s a weak part or a really durable part, it doesn’t matter! But on the premise of hit and run strategy, I need to keep on attacking “Scarlet” wherever I get a chance to do that.

The cool breeze gently strokes my cheeks as the sky is getting brighter and brighter. No, this may actually be the frozen northern wind, out of all things. When the white air heated from the excess heat the “scarlet’s” body keep on fluctuating like a fog, there is a moment when a huge gust of wind blows and……

「Here it cooooooooommmmmmeeeeeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!!]

This is going to be the fruit of this entire overnight battle to the death. With a strong gust like that blowing, even the greatest of giants like Drakarus Dinocerberus is going to be unable to support its own weight and fall to the ground!

Is this it? Did you finally die? No, surely that wasn’t nearly enough to do it! But it’s right here! Right now! This has to be it! You need to die right here and right now, otherwise I don’t know what else I will be supposed to do!!

I then strengthen my grip over Memento Mori, and then I charge straight at “Scarlet” without trying to avoid anything. It took me about two seconds to close the gap, and those two seconds were all efficient, without any unnecessary movement to them. I also activate all of the remaining skills that I can, since it’s do or die now! No use hogging them for later if that later might not come in the first place!

「This is…… My…… WIN!!??]

GEBOH!

“Scarlet” then spits out something from its mouth. Was that blood? Or maybe vomit? It was hard for me to tell.

This liquid is too dark for it to be just a mere blood, but it is also too sticky for it to be a mere vomit. Riding on the northern wind, the overwhelming smell of oil that penetrates my nasal cavity…… So I guess that I was not the only one who has come here after developing some new techniques up my sleeve, huh –––––––––

GAJIN!!!

If the previous lump of mucus vomited by this thing turned out to be a bunch of flammable oil, then ––––––

Then that would mean that this black lump that have been exhaled by it just now is something even greater, something that has been compressed to the very limit in order to maximize the efficiency…… A Heavy Nitro.

Even if you are on the verge of dying, even if you know that you won’t be able to avoid that fate…… It would seem that you do not wish to go beyond that boundary alone. It would seem that you are still intent on taking my life alongside yours.

I can no longer match the appropriate evade, so I can only use a simple backstep and hope that it’s going to be enough here……

And just as I was to do that, the jet-black oily mass that was on the ground started to swell violently and change its color to pure white while hissing loudly, and then all of a sudden all the sound in the area just kind of disappeared and ––––––

There was a huge explosion.

…

………

……………

* * *

And then the rest was silence.

Drakarus Dinocerberus possesses a unique ability that only it can use. It is a very unique and peculiar way of handling the element of “fire”, which can be said to be a throwback to the fate that all dinosaurs have met all those years ago.

For the purpose of using that power, it possesses a special bodily structure, having organs inside of its body that produce and store highly combustible mucus substances, as well as organs that allow the simultaneous accumulation and compression in the separate forms. Because of that, the lumps of highly combustible mucus can be saved and separated from the fats that Drakarus Dinocerberus ingests in its body, even when it is feeding onto its prey. And that substance is highly combustible Heavy Nitro.

It is the kind of power that can only be used the moment when the Drakarus Dinocerberus is driven into a corner. Cornered and really close to death. It is in this moment that the tri-headed tyrannosaurus rex get to use its tremendous thermal power in order to get itself out of the tough spot and survive.
