Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When the assistant approached, Zhao Rong and the Hungarian woman were deeply engrossed in conversation.

Admiring her stunning figure, Zhao Rong asked, ”So, where in the city do you live?”

Sipping her drink, the woman smiled. ”I live near the Women’s University.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong’s interest was piqued. He pressed on, ”Oh, really? Is it in one of those high-end complexes near the university? I should come visit you sometime…”

The Hungarian woman was very receptive. ”I live in Phoenix Song Manor, Building 9, Unit 2, Apartment 302. You’re welcome to come over anytime.”

When the woman revealed her address, Zhao Rong grew excited. ”So, how many people live in your apartment?”

She pointed to herself. ”Just me.”

She’s inviting me over, and she lives alone… Zhao Rong was ecstatic, his mind already racing with all sorts of steamy possibilities.

Just as Zhao Rong was lost in his fantasies, his assistant shuffled over, looking flustered. ”Zhao Rong, how’s it going with this lady? Have you sealed the deal yet?”

Seeing his assistant, Zhao Rong nodded. ”Almost. By the way, weren’t you hitting on that South American woman? What are you doing over here?”

The assistant looked pained. ”Zhao Rong, you have no idea. The boyfriends of those South American women are all either drug dealers or gang members. I wouldn’t dare make a move on them.”

Seeing his assistant’s timidity, Zhao Rong scoffed, ”We’re on our own turf now. Are you really still scared of some foreign gangsters and drug dealers coming after you?”

The assistant was still shaken. ”I know we call the shots on our own territory, but I’m still worried.”

Zhao Rong clapped him on the shoulder reassuringly. ”Listen to me, don’t be scared. You should learn a thing or two from your big brother. See this girl? She’s beautiful, tall, and has a great figure, right? Well, I’ve already charmed her.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong had already won over the beautiful foreign woman, the assistant was filled with envy. ”Zhao Rong, you’re incredible.”

Zhao Rong replied smugly, ”Actually, foreign women are easy to pick up. You just have to be a little humorous, a little gentlemanly, and a little attentive. That’s all it takes.”

With that, he began to show off, but before he could finish boasting, two brawny foreigners suddenly approached. The two brutes sported thick beards, wore sunglasses, and stood nearly two meters tall.

Seeing them approach from behind Zhao Rong, the assistant gave a well-intentioned warning. ”Zhao Rong, even though you’ve already won this woman over, I have a bad feeling about this.”

Zhao Rong laughed heartily at his assistant’s fearful expression. ”You coward. If you’re going to pick up women, you have to be bold, perceptive, and shameless. If you’re going to be this timid, scared of every little thing, then you can forget about charming any woman, let alone a foreign one.”

But before Zhao Rong could finish his sentence, the two brutes were on him, grabbing both of his arms from behind.

Feeling his arms pinned, Zhao Rong said nonchalantly, ”Who’s the creep messing around back there? Let go of me. Stop with the pranks.”

Before he could finish, however, the two foreigners slammed him to the ground.

His assistant hurried to his side. ”Zhao Rong, it looks like the foreign woman you were charming isn’t so innocent after all! Her men are here to cause trouble!”

Sure enough, before Zhao Rong could even react, the woman stood up and addressed the two men. ”This Chinese man is a disgusting pervert! He came over, started touching me, and even had the nerve to invite me to get a hotel room with him!”

Hearing her accusations, the two brutes hauled Zhao Rong to his feet. ”You bastard! You dare to hit on our boss’s woman?”

The bearded thug pointed a finger in Zhao Rong’s face and yelled, ”So, what are you going to do about it? You messed with our boss’s lady, so now you have to compensate us for her emotional distress. Otherwise, we’ll kill you!”

The bald one pulled a dagger from his waistband and pressed it against Zhao Rong’s stomach. ”Hurry up and hand over the money! Cut the crap!”

Only then did Zhao Rong realize he had been set up. It turned out there was a foreign criminal gang operating out of the Harem nightclub, a coordinated group where each member had a specific role. The Hungarian woman was one of them, responsible for acting as bait to lure in unsuspecting Chinese men. The two brawny men beside him were the enforcers, specializing in extortion, blackmail, and intimidation.

Facing their threats, Zhao Rong remained unafraid. ”I just came over and said a few words to her. I didn’t lay a single finger on her. On what grounds are you demanding compensation from me?”

The bearded man said bluntly, ”Talking to our boss’s woman is grounds enough.”

”If you don’t want to die,” the bald one added, ”you’ll pay for her emotional distress right now. Otherwise, we’ll finish you right here.”

Seeing how arrogant the two foreigners were, Zhao Rong warned them, ”Listen, this is Chinese territory. You’d better not cause trouble here.”

Before he could finish, the two men pulled out a plaque from behind their backs. On it were written the words: SICK MAN OF EAST ASIA.

When Zhao Rong saw those words, he became enraged. ”You two had better tear that plaque up and eat it right here in front of me. Otherwise, I won’t be holding back.”

The two men held the plaque up and pointed at Zhao Rong, mocking him. ”You Chinese people are naturally short and skinny. If you’re not the Sick Men of East Asia, then what are you?”

Before the bald foreigner could finish his sentence, Zhao Rong drove a fist into his stomach. ”We Chinese are not the Sick Men of East Asia! We are the Powerhouses of East Asia!”

A single punch sent the bald man flying ten meters, where he crashed onto a nearby counter.

When the bearded foreigner saw how powerful this Chinese man was, he backed away three steps, pulled out his phone, and started calling for backup.

Seeing the man call for reinforcements to start a gang fight, the terrified assistant tugged at Zhao Rong’s clothes. ”Zhao Rong, let’s get out of here! If we get caught by this mob of thugs, we’re done for!”

Zhao Rong sat calmly in place, waiting for the man to finish his call. Undaunted, he said, ”You foreign criminals think you can run wild on Chinese soil? Go ahead, call all your backup. I’ll beat every last one of you so badly you’ll be searching for your teeth on the floor.”

Just then, the foreigner ended his call. Pointing his phone at Zhao Rong, the bearded man said arrogantly, ”Chinese man, if you’ve got the guts, you’ll stay right where you are. Our boss is on his way.”

When the other patrons in the nightclub saw that Zhao Rong had provoked this foreign gang, they broke out in a cold sweat for him.

A rich kid who was a regular at the club warned him, ”Kid, you better run. These foreign criminals are not to be trifled with. They’ve been operating in this club for a long time. They have connections everywhere—the underworld, the authorities, they’ve got their hands in everything.”

A nouveau riche from one of the urban villages, sipping an AK-47 cocktail, also advised him, ”You should really get out of here. These guys are ruthless killers. If you stay, you might end up as just another one of their victims.”

A heartbroken man with a failed marriage, who had come to the club looking for a one-night stand, looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Kid, you look like a student. With a build like yours, you think you can fight these brutes? I’d forget it if I were you. Just run.”

Just as the crowd was urging Zhao Rong to flee, convinced he stood no chance, three beautiful women who had been circling the club finally found him. They were shocked to find Zhao Rong and his assistant surrounded by a group of hostile men.

Lili came over and playfully tapped him on the chest. ”Zhao Rong, where did you run off to? You had the three of us looking all over for you!”

Yu Lan stepped closer, her eyes full of affection. ”Zhao Rong, is this your first time in a nightclub? Is that why you were running around, curious about all the excitement?”

Xuelian came over and handed him a bottle of water. ”Zhao Rong, you look thirsty. Here, drink this.”

Seeing the three of them arrive, Zhao Rong grinned. ”It’s great that you’re here. I’m about to put on a show for everyone on how we Chinese handle these foreign criminal gangs.”

Hearing this, the three women were utterly confused. ”Zhao Rong, what are you talking about?”

Before they could finish, more than a dozen foreigners charged in through a nearby doorway. They were tall, massively built, and had vicious expressions. Most terrifying of all, each one clutched a gleaming dagger as they rushed toward Zhao Rong with murderous intent.
