Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Zhao Rong immediately took his phone out of his pocket. He held it high, aimed it at his face, and unlocked it using facial recognition.

Once the phone was unlocked, he promptly opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app. As he navigated to the shopping website, he asked Xuelian, ”Do you think the Paradise Shopping website has live animals like tigers, lions, elephants, leopards, or rhinoceroses?”

The assistant chimed in, musing, ”Even if the Paradise Shopping website has these live animals and we can buy them, the key question is how they would be delivered.”

Miss Lili added worriedly, ”And what if they deliver these huge beasts, but they’ve suffocated in the packaging by the time we get them? Who would be responsible for that?”

Yu Lan had a sudden idea. ”Brother Zhao Rong, you should just opt for cash on delivery. That way, there’s a bit more of a guarantee.”

When Zhao Rong searched for fierce animals like tigers, lions, elephants, leopards, and rhinos in the Paradise Shopping Cart, shops selling them did indeed appear. He immediately added one of the shopkeepers on WeChat.

In the chat, Zhao Rong asked, ”Boss, how much are your elephants, lions, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, and so on?”

The shopkeeper immediately sent a voice message in reply. Zhao Rong played it and heard the owner say, ”Our shop not only has elephants, lions, tigers, rhinos, and giraffes, but we also have all kinds of dinosaurs! If you buy all the other animals, we can throw in a dinosaur for free.”

When Zhao Rong heard the shopkeeper was offering him a free dinosaur, he immediately refused. ”Prehistoric animals like dinosaurs? Forget it. I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep it contained if I bought one, and someone could get killed.”

The shopkeeper sent a smiling emoji. ”Alright, just choose the beasts then. I’ll package and mail them to you. We guarantee that when you receive them, they will all be alive and in very good health.”

So, Zhao Rong asked about the price. ”I’m buying so many at once. How much will it cost? Can you give me a discount?”

”We’re a conscientious shop, so I won’t overcharge you,” the shopkeeper replied. ”How does one million sound?”

Amazed that the giant beasts were so cheap, Zhao Rong immediately agreed. ”Okay, I’ll choose cash on delivery. Is that alright?”

”Of course, why wouldn’t it be?” the shopkeeper said with a smile.

Zhao Rong then asked, ”But I still want to know, how will you deliver these giant beasts to me?”

To dispel Zhao Rong’s concerns, the shopkeeper demonstrated the delivery method. ”When we package these beasts for delivery, we use something called Shrinking Solution.” With that, the shopkeeper pulled a tiger out from the store and dripped a drop of the solution onto it. The previously enormous creature suddenly shrank until it was the size of a small gecko.

Zhao Rong stared in disbelief. ”Boss, this Shrinking Solution is incredible! It can make such a gigantic creature so small?”

The shopkeeper then took a bottle of enlargement modifying liquid from his pocket. As he dripped a drop onto the tiny tiger, he explained, ”When you receive the package, just take the tiger out of its small box, place it on the ground, and drip one drop of the enlargement modifying liquid on it. The tiger will return to its original size.”

As he spoke, he dripped the liquid on the gecko-sized tiger on the ground. Instantly, the tiger expanded back to its original, massive size.

Zhao Rong finally understood. ”Boss, I get it now,” he said in awe. ”I see how you transport these massive beasts. With the Shrinking Solution and enlargement modifying liquid, it doesn’t matter how big the animal is. It’s easy to ship.”

The shopkeeper then, right in front of Zhao Rong, shrank all the purchased beasts one by one and placed them into a breathable box. After packing it up, he contacted the Flying Bird Special Courier Service to handle the delivery.

After buying the beasts, Zhao Rong finally breathed a sigh of relief.

His assistant let out a long breath as well. ”Brother Zhao Rong, we can finally replace the animals you killed.”

Zhao Rong nodded, touching his chest. ”Thank goodness I downloaded this awesome app, Paradise Shopping Cart. Otherwise, I really don’t know how I would have fixed the huge mess I made.”

Meanwhile, the three women standing nearby were wondering when Zhao Rong’s delivery would arrive.

Just then, Zhao Rong saw a flock of swallows flying toward the window. Could it be that these swallows are the so-called ’Flying Bird Special Courier Service’?

Before he could finish the thought, the swallows flew in through the window. They placed the packages on the table and said, ”Hello, sir. We are the Flying Bird Special Courier Service. This is your package. Please sign for it and make your payment.”

After receiving the packages, Zhao Rong, his assistant, and the three women opened them one by one. Inside each package was a breathable, transparent plastic box containing the various shrunken, ferocious beasts. After inspecting the animals, Zhao Rong agreed to pay. He took out his phone, ready to transfer the money via WeChat, but the lead swallow produced a POS machine. ”It would be better to transfer the money directly into our boss’s bank account.”

Seeing the machine, Zhao Rong took out the bank card the chief of police had given him the day before. As he inserted the card into the POS machine, he said to the swallow, ”One million, right?”

The swallow nodded. ”I have already entered the amount of 1,000,000. You just need to enter your PIN.”

Zhao Rong did so, and a receipt printed out from the machine, confirming the successful payment. After paying, he also checked his balance. Even after the transaction, the card still had over 6,000,000 British pounds remaining.

When the three women saw Zhao Rong’s bank card, they exclaimed in surprise, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I don’t remember you using that card before! Did you somehow get a new bank card overnight with seven million pounds in it?”

To explain, Zhao Rong told them what had happened the previous night. Hearing that he had earned 7,000,000 pounds in a single night, they looked at him with adoration. ”Brother Zhao, you’re incredible! You must be one of the fastest money-makers in all of Xijing City!”

Zhao Rong answered humbly, ”I’m not that amazing. It was just a case of a blind cat finding a dead mouse—pure luck.”

With that, Zhao Rong led his assistant and the three women toward the small woods behind the school playground. As they walked out of the dormitory and crossed the grounds, they saw large posters plastered everywhere. The posters were all about capturing and bringing to justice the person who killed the animals in the woods the night before.

Looking at the overwhelming number of posters, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but draw a sharp breath. From now on, no matter what I do, I must think twice before acting. If I’m too reckless, I really might make a grave mistake...

When Zhao Rong reached the edge of the woods, he saw a new sign that read ”Women’s College Zoo.” The entire area was now enclosed by an electric fence, clearly set up to prevent the beasts inside from escaping.

Looking at the fence, Zhao Rong said to his assistant, puzzled, ”That’s strange. When we came into these woods last night, we didn’t run into any electric fence.”

The assistant recalled the previous night’s events and nodded. ”You’re right, Brother Zhao Rong. There definitely wasn’t any electric fence when we came in.”

Just as they were wondering about it, a couple of maintenance workers came over. As they worked on the fence, one said to the other, ”What a coincidence. We only took down a section of the fence for a little while last night for repairs. I can’t believe someone snuck in during that short time and killed all the animals.”

”Yeah,” the other replied. ”The culprit must be a real villain who’s been planning this for a long time. If I ever catch the person who did this, I’ll tear them to pieces!”

Hearing the two workers, Zhao Rong finally understood. It was just a coincidence that he had stumbled into the woods through the gap while they were making repairs. He sighed, then led Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and his assistant around to a different spot to enter the woods.

Once inside, Zhao Rong placed the small, shrunken animals on the ground and took the bottle of enlargement modifying liquid from his pocket. Just as he was about to apply it, his assistant spoke up fearfully, ”Brother Zhao Rong, if you suddenly make those beasts huge again, won’t they go wild and eat us?”

Lili added anxiously, ”The assistant has a point. Once they’re big again, how are we supposed to escape? We’re so close to them.”

Yu Lan pointed to the sky. ”Brother Zhao Rong, we could buy a helicopter! We could sit inside it and drip the enlargement modifying liquid on them from above. That way, we’d be safe.”

Xuelian, however, had another idea. ”Brother Zhao, you could buy a propeller hat from the Paradise Shopping website. If you wear that, you can fly in the air. That way, we’d be one hundred percent safe!”

Hearing Xuelian’s suggestion, Zhao Rong immediately took out his phone and opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app.
