Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When the three beautiful women heard there were supposedly fierce beasts in the woods behind the playground of their prestigious women’s university, they were petrified.

Lili looked at Zhao Rong in disbelief and asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, was everything the assistant just said true?”

Zhao Rong said proudly, ”Of course, it’s true. I really did kill a lot of fierce beasts last night...”

Upon hearing this, Lili immediately rushed into Zhao Rong’s arms, kissing his face. ”Zhao Rong, you’re just too amazing! I don’t even know what words to use to describe your prowess...”

Yu Lan’s mind, meanwhile, was filled with images of large, fierce beasts. She looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re even more incredible than Wu Song! He only killed a single tiger, but you took down tigers, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and bears all by yourself...” As she spoke, she too threw herself into Zhao Rong’s embrace and kissed his forehead.

Xuelian simply stared at the man before her, seeing him as a peerless hero. With adoration in her eyes, she said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I think you must be the strongest man among the six billion people on Earth...” With that, she also rushed into his arms, kissing his chest.

At that moment, with three beautiful women in his arms, Zhao Rong felt as if he had reached the pinnacle of his life. A sense of pride, superiority, and conquest filled and surrounded him.

While Zhao Rong and the three beauties were lost in their intimate embrace, the assistant took advantage of the distraction. He opened the breakfast Zhao Rong had bought, devoured all the fried dough cakes, and washed them down with two cups of soy milk. His hunger sated, the assistant sat on a stool, pulled out his phone, and started playing ’Jump Jump’ on WeChat.

”If you three don’t believe me,” he said, ”I can take you to the woods behind the school to see the predators Brother Zhao Rong killed...”

Hearing this, the three women’s curiosity was piqued. ”Since we’re free right now, you should take us to see the beasts Brother Zhao Rong killed last night!”

The assistant let out a belch and stood up. As he headed for the dormitory door, he said, ”No problem. Just follow me, and I guarantee you’ll see the fierce beasts that Brother Zhao Rong killed.”

However, just as the assistant reached the door and was about to open it, there was a sudden knock. It was from the Animal Protection Association.

As he opened the door, the assistant cursed internally. In the dorm of these three beauties, no man other than Brother Zhao Rong and I should be knocking...

When the door opened, he saw four members of the Animal Protection Association standing at the entrance, holding a banner. One of them pulled out his credentials and said, ”Hello, we’re from the university’s Animal Protection Association...”

Surprised, the assistant replied, ”If you’re from the Animal Protection Association, you should be out protecting animals. Why are you knocking on our door?”

A member of the group explained, ”We came here because we’re looking for clues...”

Hearing they were looking for clues, the assistant said dismissively, ”What clues? Just spit it out. We’re in a hurry to get to the woods behind the school playground.”

The women behind him also spoke up impatiently, ”We’re going to the woods behind the playground to see the corpses of the animals Brother Zhao Rong killed...”

When the four members of the Animal Protection Association heard this, their eyes went wide. They immediately turned to the three women and asked, ”What did you just say? Who killed the animals being kept in the university zoo?”

Hearing the words ”school zoo,” the three beauties turned to the assistant in confusion. ”Assistant, does the women’s university actually have a zoo?”

The assistant shook his head. ”How could a university possibly have a zoo? That’s ridiculous, isn’t it?”

But Zhao Rong, who had been sitting proudly at the back of the room, froze when he heard the word ”zoo” and immediately realized something was wrong. He stood up, looked at the four students, and asked, ”Hello. What did you just say? There’s really a zoo here at the women’s university?”

The four members of the Animal Protection Association replied in unison, ”Yes, our university just recently built a zoo. We even imported many large animals from Africa and South America...”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong was so astonished he fell to the floor.

The assistant, also in disbelief, asked the students, ”What are you saying? You mean the woods behind the school playground is our university’s zoo? And the animals in there are the giant creatures our school spent a fortune importing from Africa and South America for people to see?”

The four students nodded, their faces full of righteous indignation. ”That’s right! Our university’s zoo was established less than a week ago. But last night, something horrific happened... All the animals in the zoo were slaughtered by one person in a single night!”

Listening to the members of the Animal Protection Association, the assistant was so shocked he also collapsed. He slowly crawled across the ground to Zhao Rong’s side and whispered, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’ve really screwed up... The animals you killed last night weren’t wild beasts or man-eaters. They were the animals from the school zoo, there for display!”

Cold sweat dripped from Zhao Rong’s forehead. ”Damn it! It was dark last night,” he said in disbelief. ”When I walked into those woods, I wasn’t thinking. I just killed all the animals that seemed to threaten our lives. Who knew we’d walked into the school’s zoo? And that they were just for show... What rotten luck!”

”Brother Zhao Rong, you killed so many animals,” the assistant said, calculating in his head. ”If you have to compensate the school, it’s going to be a fortune...”

Zhao Rong climbed to his feet. As he walked toward the four members of the Animal Protection Association, he thought to himself, From now on, wherever I go, the first thing I must do is survey the area and get a clear sense of the surroundings. Otherwise, I’ll just make a fool of myself like I did last night. I clearly walked into the school’s zoo, but I thought I’d run into dangerous beasts.

Stepping forward, Zhao Rong decided to confess to the four students. ”Sirs, I’m sorry. To be honest, it was me...”

But before he could finish, another student rushed up from behind them. ”Sirs, you can stop looking! The suspect who killed the animals last night has already been caught!”

When the four members of the association heard the killer had been caught, they were moved to tears. ”Animals are still living beings! We’re going right now to tear that criminal to shreds!”

With that, the four of them started to walk away.

Seeing them leave, Zhao Rong rushed forward again to admit his mistake. ”Sirs, you must have made a mistake! I’m the one who killed the animals in the woods behind the playground...”

The four association members didn’t believe him at all. They pushed him aside and kept walking. ”Kid, stop trying to act tough in front of us. With your short height, small build, and kind face, there’s no way you could be ruthless enough to kill all those animals in one night.”

”Since we’ve already found the suspect, you can stop posturing,” another said. ”A merciful man doesn’t lead an army, you know? You couldn’t possibly harm an animal.”

”We know you have a good heart and want to take the blame for the real killer,” the third one added. ”But a life for a life applies to animals, too. That’s the way it has to be, and we’re sure we’ve got the right person.”

And with that, the four members of the Animal Protection Association headed downstairs, led by the other student.

Zhao Rong watched them go, shaking his head helplessly. ”But I really did kill all the animals in the school zoo... Why won’t you believe me?”

Just then, the three beautiful women walked up to him, their eyes wide with shock. ”Brother Zhao Rong, even if those four from the Animal Protection Association don’t believe you killed all the animals, we do... But we just don’t understand. You’re such a good man, why would you do something so cruel and slaughter all the animals in the school zoo?”

Hearing their questions, Zhao Rong was on the verge of despair. ”Sigh... what a cruel twist of fate. Last night, we were chasing a suspect into the woods when several beasts surrounded my assistant and me. At the time, I thought they had escaped from some desolate mountain nearby, not that they belonged to the school. So I killed them all. It was only this morning that I learned that the dangerous, beast-filled woods we entered were actually the school’s zoo...”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s explanation, the three beauties fell to the ground in astonishment.

”I never thought you’d make such a rookie mistake, Brother Zhao Rong...” Lili said, close to tears.

Yu Lan, however, burst out laughing. ”You’re hilarious, Brother Zhao Rong! You mistook zoo animals for wild beasts and killed them all!”

But Xuelian had an idea. ”Brother Zhao Rong,” she reminded him, ”since you have that awesome Paradise Shopping Cart, why don’t you just buy some new beasts and have them delivered here? You could restock the zoo that way! Then you’d be able to replace all the animals you killed.”

At Xuelian’s words, a light bulb went off in Zhao Rong’s head.

That’s right! Why don’t I just order some beasts online and use them to restock the school’s zoo?
