Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong saw several hundred tattooed men with machetes charging toward them from the southern entrance of the urban village, he immediately prepared for a fight, ready to give the gang a sound beating.

At that moment, when the urban villagers saw Zhao Rong’s group surrounded by hundreds of machete-wielding men, they gasped in astonishment.

”Those students from the Women’s College… I’m afraid they’re going to be cut down by those tattooed men today.”

”These tattooed guys are ruthless. I told them not to provoke these men, but they insisted. Now they’re in for it. They’re definitely going to be killed…”

Just as the surrounding villagers were sure that Zhao Rong and his group were about to be hacked to death, Zhao Rong let out a great roar and prepared to charge forward for a fierce confrontation.

However, just as he was about to charge, Lili, who was standing beside him, pulled him back. She pointed to the north side of the urban village and said, ”Zhao Rong, you can’t act rashly! We’re surrounded. Look, there are hundreds of tattooed men with machetes rushing us from the south. And now look to the north—hundreds more are charging from that direction! We’re being caught in a pincer attack!”

Yu Lan was also worried that Zhao Rong would get hurt if he rushed in. ”Zhao Rong, please don’t be reckless,” she urged. ”There are so many of them, and they’re all armed with machetes.”

Meanwhile, Xuelian took the propeller hats Zhao Rong had purchased from the Paradise Shopping Cart out of her backpack and said to him, ”Brother Zhao Rong, don’t we have these propeller hats? All we have to do is put them on and fly away. Why should we fight these bad guys head-on?”

Hearing Xuelian’s words, an idea sparked in Zhao Rong’s mind. That’s right! If we can outsmart them, why fight them head-on?

With that, Zhao Rong put on a propeller hat. As he began to lift off the ground, he took the Nanobots he had purchased from the Paradise Shopping Cart out of his Magic Ring. When Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and the assistant saw Zhao Rong take flight, they immediately put on their own propeller hats and flew up with him.

The urban villagers, who had just been certain that the group was doomed to die under the thugs’ blades, were left stunned and speechless as they watched Zhao Rong and his companions slowly rise into the air.

A local shopkeeper’s eyes widened in disbelief. ”I’ll be damned! No way! Those students from the Women’s College grew wings! They can fly!”

The jaw of a nearby internet café owner nearly hit the floor. ”I thought those students were done for,” he stammered. ”But I never expected them to have Special Abilities. They can actually fly!”

The owner of a video rental shop felt like he was dreaming. ”I’ve run this shop for years and I’ve seen all kinds of people, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone who can fly.”

Once Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and the assistant were all airborne, they looked down condescendingly at the hundreds of tattooed men on the ground.

”You want to chop us up? Not unless you can fly!”

”Come on, you fools, try and get us!”

”Can’t catch us now, can you, you idiots?”

When the tattooed men charging from the south and north saw Zhao Rong’s group of five actually flying, they too were utterly dumbfounded. After their initial shock wore off, they spotted Principal Wang Guihua still standing on the ground nearby.

”Hey, even though those guys flew away, they left one woman behind!” one of them shouted.

”Yeah, let’s kill her first! Then we can figure out how to deal with the five in the sky.”

”Good thing one of them can’t fly. They left us a scapegoat!”

”Let’s go, brothers! Kill that woman!”

Just a moment ago, Wang Guihua had been quite smug about her superior Martial Arts, but now she was panicking. She looked at the over a thousand tattooed men charging toward her and cried out in fear to Zhao Rong and the others flying above, ”Brother Zhao Rong! Assistant! Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian! You all flew away, why did you leave me behind? Don’t go! Take me with you!”

Up in the air, Zhao Rong was just about to unleash his Nanobots to wipe them all out when he suddenly spotted Wang Guihua on the ground. He instantly wanted to smack himself. How could I have made such a blunder? I completely forgot about Wang Guihua when we took off.

He immediately commanded the propeller hat on his head, ”Hat, descend quickly! Go rescue Wang Guihua!”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s command, the hat’s AI activated, and it began to slowly descend toward her. As he flew down, Zhao Rong called out to the frantic woman on the ground, ”Wang Guihua, don’t worry and don’t be afraid! I’m coming to rescue you right now!”

When the men charging toward Wang Guihua saw Zhao Rong flying down to save her, they broke into a sprint.

In the nick of time, Zhao Rong reached her first, swept her into his arms, and soared back into the sky. Just as he lifted off, the gang of tattooed men arrived where she had been standing, swinging their machetes wildly. Though they were strong, numerous, and their blades were sharp, they were completely helpless against Zhao Rong and Wang Guihua flying high above them.

Once she was safely out of danger, Wang Guihua closed her eyes, let out a long sigh of relief, and pressed her head tightly against Zhao Rong’s chest. ”Brother Zhao Rong, thank you for saving my life,” she said, her voice full of relief. ”If it weren’t for you, I would have been hacked to pieces by those hundreds of men and their machetes.”

As he flew, Zhao Rong held her and continued to comfort her. ”It’s all right, Wang Guihua. You have nothing to fear as long as I’m here.”

Just then, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian flew over on their own propeller hats. When they got close and saw Wang Guihua clinging so tightly to Zhao Rong, they immediately grew jealous.

Lili looked at her and said bluntly, ”Wang Guihua, weren’t you just bragging about your incredible Martial Arts and how you won first prize in the Women’s College Martial Arts Competition? How come you were trembling with fear just now?”

Faced with Lili’s question, Wang Guihua lowered her head in shame.

Yu Lan flew closer and teased her, ”Wang Guihua, I figured with your skills, handling a few hundred tattooed men would be no problem for you. So why did I see you shaking in fear just now?”

Wang Guihua blushed with embarrassment. ”Nobody in this world wants to die,” she mumbled. ”Besides, those men are murderers.”

In contrast to Lili and Yu Lan’s mockery, Xuelian came forward to comfort her. ”It’s okay, Sister Guihua. As long as Brother Zhao Rong is here, you don’t need to be afraid. There’s nothing in this world he can’t handle, no enemy he can’t defeat, and no woman he can’t save.”

Wang Guihua nodded and turned to thank Zhao Rong again. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I really don’t know how to thank you. How about this? When you get back to the Women’s College, I’ll use my authority as Principal to award you the school’s entire scholarship fund.”

Hearing this, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and the assistant all chimed in, ”If Brother Zhao Rong is getting the Women’s College scholarship, then you can’t leave us out!”

Wang Guihua nodded and immediately said to them, ”Although the scholarships at the Women’s College are quite large and awarded to only a few people, since you all saved my life, I’ve decided to give this year’s scholarship to all of you.”

When the assistant heard that the scholarship was a considerable amount, he eagerly asked, ”Principal Wang, you said the school’s scholarship is large, but how much money are we talking about?”

Wang Guihua thought for a moment before answering seriously, ”Our Women’s College offers an annual scholarship of three hundred thousand US Dollars.”

When the assistant heard that the scholarship was $300,000—over 1.8 million RMB—his eyes widened with joy. ”Oh my God! I’ve dreamed of striking it rich my whole life. I’ve tried all sorts of jobs and professions since I grew up, but I never made my fortune. I can’t believe that now that I’ve become a student, I’m finally getting rich off a scholarship!”

Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian were also ecstatic about the size of the scholarship, cheering and high-fiving each other.

While Zhao Rong and his group celebrated in the sky, the tattooed men on the ground brandished their machetes and shouted up at them, ”You bunch of spineless cowards! Get down here and fight if you have any guts!”

Zhao Rong glanced down at them and quietly released the Nanobots from his hand, letting them drift down. ”It’s the 21st century, the era of technology,” he announced. ”Anyone who tries to fight thousands of you with brute force alone is a fool. Therefore, I, Zhao Rong, have decided not to use physical strength against you. I’ll use technology instead.”

With that, he gave a voice command to the Nanobots. ”Nanobots, what are you waiting for? Quickly deal with these thousand-plus tattooed men before you!”
