Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Along the way, the three beauties worked together to keep Zhao Rong and Wang Guihua apart. Zhao Rong was at the Women’s College on a mission from the chairman: to enter the school and pursue its principal, Wang Guihua. However, thanks to the obstruction of the three beauties, getting close to her was proving extremely difficult.

Just as Zhao Rong prepared to speak to Wang Guihua, Lili stepped forward, blocking his path. She looked at him and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, whatever you want to say to Wang Guihua, you can tell me. I’ll pass it along for you…”

Hearing her words, Zhao Rong shook his head, unsure of what to do. When he tried to move to Wang Guihua’s left side to get closer, Yu Lan intercepted him, planting herself firmly between them.

When they reached a snack stall and Zhao Rong was about to ask Wang Guihua what she wanted to eat, Xuelian preempted him. She grabbed a bowl of soy milk and three fried dough sticks, tossed them onto the table in front of Wang Guihua, and said to Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, no need to ask what Principal Wang Guihua wants. This will be enough.”

Zhao Rong looked on, feeling utterly helpless.

If I want to complete the chairman’s mission and win over Wang Guihua, I have to get away from these three. Otherwise, as long as they’re around, they’ll interfere with my every move.

Left with no other choice, Zhao Rong began eating his breakfast in silence. But just as he started, a few local thugs from the urban village swaggered in for a meal. After sitting down, they immediately took an interest in the beautiful women at the nearby table.

Their apparent leader, a bald man covered in tattoos, stood up and sauntered over to Wang Guihua. ”Hey beautiful,” he said, ”how about we get to know each other?”

Wang Guihua ignored him, calmly continuing to sip her soy milk and eat her dough sticks.

Seeing Wang Guihua disrespect their boss, the bald man’s long-haired, tattooed underling slammed his hand on the table and shot to his feet. He stalked toward her, cursing as he went. ”Damn it! Our boss wants to be your friend, and you just ignore him? You’re really showing no respect... Since you won’t do this the easy way, you’ll have to do it the hard way!”

Hearing the thugs picking a fight with Wang Guihua, Zhao Rong immediately stood up, ready to teach them a lesson. But before he could make a move, the shop owner rushed over. ”Sir,” he whispered urgently, ”those guys are notorious thugs in this urban village. Don’t provoke them! I suggest you eat quickly and leave. Stay away from them, and you’ll be fine...”

Seeing how terrified the owner was, Zhao Rong asked, ”Boss, do these thugs run rampant in the urban village, bullying people and disrupting your business?”

The owner nodded. ”Yes, but what can we do? We can’t afford to mess with them... So we just have to swallow our anger and keep quiet.”

Hearing confirmation that the thugs were indeed as vile as they seemed, Zhao Rong stepped in front of Wang Guihua. He faced the gang and said, ”If you’re looking to make friends, why don’t you start with me, Zhao Rong?”

The bald, tattooed man glared at him and pulled a double-edged cleaver from his belt. He pointed it at Zhao Rong. ”Damn it! I’m the boss in this urban village! No one gets in my way when I’m after a beautiful woman!”

The long-haired thug pulled a nunchaku from his waist and began twirling it. ”No woman our boss wants has ever escaped his grasp.”

When Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian saw the thugs targeting Wang Guihua, they piped up, ”Brother Zhao Rong, since those thugs have taken an interest in the beautiful Wang Guihua, why don’t you just let them get acquainted?”

Zhao Rong knew they were only saying this because they were jealous of the attention he was giving Wang Guihua. ”They’re obviously a bunch of hooligans,” he replied. ”How can we let them ’make friends’ with Wang Guihua? That’s ridiculous.”

Wang Guihua, however, stood up. ”Zhao Rong, stay out of this,” she said calmly. ”I’ve dealt with thugs like these before.”

Seeing she didn’t want his help, Zhao Rong scratched his head in confusion. ”How can I not get involved? Am I supposed to just stand by and watch these thugs assault you?”

Wang Guihua stood fully, a cold smile playing on her lips. ”Get lost, now,” she told the thugs. ”Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Her warning fell on deaf ears; the thugs clearly didn’t take the seemingly weak woman seriously. The long-haired one stepped forward, reaching out a claw-like hand. ”Beauty, you’ve got a great body,” he sneered. ”Why don’t you let me have a little feel...”

Another thug held up a phone, smirking lecherously. ”Yeah, boss! Why don’t you have some fun with her right now? I’ll film it for you. Think of the bragging rights you’ll have back in the village!”

But before they could finish, Wang Guihua sprang into action. She lashed out with a punch to the bald man’s neck and a swift kick to the back of the long-haired man’s head. In an instant, both thugs were on the ground.

When the other three thugs saw their leaders taken down so easily, they scrambled away in terror.

As Zhao Rong watched her ferocious display, he looked at Wang Guihua with newfound respect. ”Wang Guihua, no wonder you went from being a student to the president of the women’s university. You’ve really got some skills.”

Wang Guihua dusted herself off and smiled at Zhao Rong. ”The reason I became president is that I won first place in the university’s martial arts tournament not long ago.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong’s interest was piqued. ”The women’s university has a martial arts tournament? So if you win the championship, you really get to be the president?”

Wang Guihua nodded. ”The university holds a martial arts tournament every quarter. Any student who wins first place can become the new president.”

Hearing about such a bizarre rule, Zhao Rong’s heart filled with glee. ”So, does that mean that during the tournament, women fight women and men fight men?”

”Of course not,” Wang Guihua said, shaking her head. ”We believe in gender equality here. In the arena, there’s no distinction between men and women, only between the strong and the weak.”

As he listened, Zhao Rong imagined himself competing. ”Wang Guihua,” he said, a grin spreading across his face, ”if that’s the case, doesn’t that mean I can just enter the tournament next quarter and become president myself?”

Wang Guihua said dismissively, ”Don’t get ahead of yourself, Zhao Rong. Our university is full of hidden masters. There’s always someone stronger.”

Hearing Wang Guihua belittle their Brother Zhao Rong, the three beauties were instantly offended. Lili stood up and snapped, ”Wang Guihua, you’re a frog in a well! Do you have any idea who our Brother Zhao Rong is? He’s a famous big shot in Xijing City!”

Yu Lan also stood, listing his accomplishments. ”President Wang, you clearly don’t know Brother Zhao Rong, so allow me to enlighten you about his past experiences. He started in the labor market, was discovered by a talent scout, and joined the Chase Girl Company. He quickly won the chairman’s favor and became Lili’s bodyguard, which led him to join the True Martial Sect and become its Sect Leader! Then he became president of Xijing University, then dean of the Ghost Hunting Academy, and then dean of the Sports Academy! And now he’s here, at your university. I’m telling you, one day, Brother Zhao Rong will be the president of the women’s university too!”

When Wang Guihua heard that the unassuming man before her was so accomplished, she looked at Zhao Rong, her eyes wide with disbelief. ”Zhao Rong,” she said, ”I had no idea you had so many tricks up your sleeve...”

The assistant standing next to Zhao Rong puffed out his chest. ”President Wang, you don’t know the half of it! Our Brother Zhao Rong doesn’t just have a few tricks—he has Special Abilities! He’s an expert in medicine who can cure diseases and save lives; he’s a master of romance who can woo any woman; he’s a peerless fighter with incredible martial arts skills, and he can even refine elixirs!”

The assistant was praising Zhao Rong to the skies. Hearing himself being lauded so excessively, Zhao Rong patted his assistant’s shoulder. ”Alright, Assistant, that’s enough. Any more and you’ll make me sound like a god.”

But before he could finish speaking, a massive group appeared at the village entrance: over a hundred tattooed men, all wielding cleavers.

When Zhao Rong and his party saw the hundred-plus bald, tattooed men, they could only stare with wide eyes.

”What’s with all these guys?” Zhao Rong said in surprise. ”Why are they gathering in the village so early? Are they cosplaying, or shooting a movie?”

The assistant scratched his head in confusion. ”Are these shirtless, tattooed guys so bored they’ve just decided to take a group stroll?”

As they spoke, the snack shop owner emerged, trembling with fear. ”This is bad! You fought their leaders, the bald guy and the long-haired one. Now they’ve called their backup! All the thugs from around here have come. You’re in for it now!”

With that, the owner slammed his door shut. At the same time, shutters clattered down all along the street as every other shop in the urban village closed up.

When the horde of tattooed men spotted Zhao Rong’s group, they let out a roar.

”CHARGE!”

In an instant, the entire mob surged toward them.
