Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong and his group saw the security guard faint from fear before they had even made a move, they burst out laughing. They then opened the school gates and headed toward the nearby nightclub.

Although the nightclub, named Harem, was renowned, it was very close to the women’s university. The five of them walked for less than ten minutes before arriving at its entrance. This was Zhao Rong’s first time in a nightclub.

The thumping music from inside stunned Zhao Rong before he even stepped through the door. He covered his ears, wincing in pain. ”Damn, the music in here is way too loud! It’s absolutely deafening...”

The assistant, also struggling with the wild music, chimed in, ”With the music this loud and noisy, how are we supposed to talk to women or pick them up inside?”

In stark contrast to the men’s aversion, the three women were quite enjoying it. ”You need music this loud to really let loose and have fun!” one of them said.

”Exactly,” Lili, who loved this kind of atmosphere, added. ”With the music this loud, if I happen to burp or fart while I’m having fun, no one around will notice. I can finally let go of my ’pristine lady’ image.”

Yu Lan took out her compact to touch up her makeup. ”Maybe this is just the vibe of a nightclub. If the music weren’t loud, you might not get the right feeling.”

Xuelian, however, took out a pair of earplugs. ”If you think it’s too loud, you can just use earplugs when we go in.”

With that, the three women walked into the nightclub one after another. When Zhao Rong saw them go in, he just shook his head and followed. The assistant was the last one to enter.

Once inside, their eyes took in the scene: beautiful men and women everywhere, groups drinking at tables, and gorgeous dancers moving on the dance floor. Zhao Rong licked his lips. ”No wonder everyone loves coming to nightclubs. This place is perfect for a romantic encounter.”

The assistant’s eyes scanned the room like a radar, quickly searching for attractive women. ”Brother Zhao Rong, have you noticed? There are quite a few foreign beauties in here.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong took a closer look and indeed saw numerous women from Eastern European countries like Ukraine and Russia. The assistant, however, preferred the wheat-skinned women of South America. He pointed one out to Zhao Rong. ”Brother Zhao Rong, look! In that corner, there’s a beautiful woman sucking on a lollipop. She looks like she’s from Brazil or Colombia.”

Compared to South American women, Zhao Rong favored the fair skin, deep-set eyes, and high-bridged noses of Eastern Europeans. He glanced at the woman his assistant pointed out, then shook his head. ”I still prefer the fair-skinned Eastern European women. They’re more my type.”

Saying this, Zhao Rong made his way toward a nearby Eastern European woman. Seeing this, the assistant walked over to the South American woman.

As the two men approached their targets, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian turned around, only to find that Zhao Rong and the assistant had vanished.

When Zhao Rong reached the Eastern European woman, he immediately took out a translator from his Magic Ring. He set the device to Russian and spoke into it. ”Hello, beautiful. What country are you from? May I buy you a drink?”

However, when the woman heard the Russian translation, she indicated that she didn’t understand.

Taken aback, Zhao Rong studied her carefully before switching the translator to Serbian. She still didn’t understand. He then tried Polish, with the same result. Reluctantly, Zhao Rong switched to the widely used English language. To his surprise, the Eastern European woman didn’t even understand English.

Frustrated, Zhao Rong was about to give up. But just as he was turning away, the woman suddenly spoke to him in perfect Chinese. ”Hey handsome, are you trying to buy me a drink?”

When Zhao Rong heard her speak Chinese, he was so shocked that he stumbled and fell to the floor. As he scrambled back to his feet, he exclaimed, ”If I’d known you spoke Chinese, I would’ve just talked to you directly instead of going through all that trouble!”

The woman laughed. ”China’s economy has developed so much these days. We foreigners all want to come to China to find work, so I learned fluent Chinese when I was young.”

Zhao Rong bought her a drink and asked, ”By the way, beautiful, where are you from?”

Sipping her drink, she smiled and replied, ”I’m from Hungary.”

”Hungary!” It suddenly clicked for Zhao Rong. ”No wonder! You don’t understand Russian, Polish, Serbian, or English because you speak Hungarian!”

The woman smiled modestly. ”Yes, and actually, Hungarian has some similarities to your Shaanbei dialect.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong asked curiously, ”How so?”

The woman shared a historical tidbit with him. ”Actually, we Hungarians are descendants of the ancient Xiongnu people. During the wars with General Huo Qubing, some of the Xiongnu stayed in the south, becoming the Southern Xiongnu and eventually assimilating into the Han Chinese population. The rest, the Northern Xiongnu, migrated to the grasslands of Eastern Europe and became today’s Hungarians.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong eagerly tried to close the distance between them. ”That’s fantastic! Since our ancestors were one big family, we should definitely be friends. We can exchange our WeChat, QQ, Toutiao, Weibo, Penguin, and Baijia accounts...”

Hearing him ask for so many different accounts, she replied with a troubled look, ”I’m sorry, I only have Facebook and Twitter. I don’t have any of the others.”

When he heard she didn’t even have WeChat, Zhao Rong took out his phone and immediately registered an account for her. After adding her as a contact, he handed her the phone. ”This is a WeChat account I set up for you. You can use this to contact me from now on.”

The Hungarian woman accepted the new account gratefully. ”Thank you for setting this up for me! I’ll link it to my bank card. That will make living in China so much more convenient. I won’t even need to carry a wallet when I go out; I can just scan QR codes with my phone.”

Zhao Rong smiled. ”Now that you have WeChat, we have to stay in touch. Video chats would be even better.”

The woman nodded and told him her name. ”My Chinese name is Ding Xianghua. And you?”

Thinking her name was quite lovely, Zhao Rong told her his name in return. ”I’m Zhao Rong.”

Just as they were getting absorbed in their conversation, the assistant suddenly ran over. He looked at Zhao Rong anxiously. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I remember you bought a portable iFLYTEK translator online. Do you have it with you? Can I borrow it?”

Zhao Rong took out the portable translator and handed it over. ”Actually, a lot of the women here can speak Chinese. You could just try speaking it directly. You might be surprised.”

But the assistant grabbed the translator and rushed back toward the South American woman. He immediately translated his words from Chinese to Spanish. ”Hello, beautiful. Are you from Brazil?”

The woman, however, replied in perfect Portuguese, ”I’m sorry, I’m Colombian.”

When the assistant switched the translator to Portuguese, he was finally able to communicate with the Colombian woman. Looking at her admiringly, he said, ”Colombia is such a great place. Your country produces so many world beauty pageant winners.”

The woman laughed. ”Yes, my homeland of Colombia not only produces beauty pageant winners but also various major drug dealers and kingpins.”

The assistant had read about the feuds between Colombian drug lords online. He asked jokingly, ”Since Colombia has so many drug lords, your ex-boyfriend wasn’t one of them, was he?”

The Colombian woman looked at him, surprised. ”Wow, you Chinese men are sharp. How did you know my ex-boyfriend was a major drug lord?”

When the assistant heard that her ex-boyfriend really was a drug lord, he immediately backed away in alarm. ”My apologies, sorry for bothering you. Since your ex is a drug lord, I think it’s best we remain strangers.”

With that, the assistant took the translator and walked toward another South American woman nearby. Upon reaching her, he spoke in Spanish again. ”Hello, beautiful. Which country are you from? Can we be friends?”

The woman smiled. ”I’m from Ecuador.”

Hearing ”Ecuador,” the assistant couldn’t help but think of gang violence. He joked, ”I know Ecuador is famous for its beautiful women, but it’s also famous for its gangs... Your ex-boyfriend wasn’t a gang member, was he?”

The Ecuadorian woman’s eyes widened. She gave the assistant a thumbs-up. ”Wow, you Chinese men are really sharp! You figured out my ex was a gang member right away.”

When the assistant heard that his casual guess was correct, he stumbled back in fright, waving his hands frantically. ”Since your ex-boyfriend is a gang member, you must be trouble. It’s better if we don’t get to know each other.”

Saying this, the assistant gave up on the South American women in the nightclub and headed back toward where Zhao Rong was with the Eastern European beauty.
