Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Seeing his assistant so confident, Zhao Rong immediately thought, Alright, go ahead and pursue her then. However, I, Zhao Rong, won’t just stand by idly. I’ll monitor you in secret to prevent you from using any other cheating methods.

At that moment, a wicked idea formed in the assistant’s mind. He quietly took his phone from his pocket and opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app. Standing beside him, Zhao Rong was surprised to see that the kid had, at some point, downloaded a mobile shopping app used by deities—the Paradise Shopping Cart. He immediately leaned over, curious to see what strange new item the assistant intended to buy on this divine shopping website.

As Zhao Rong watched, he saw the assistant type ”Love-at-First-Sight Elixir” into the search bar. Love-at-First-Sight Elixir? he wondered. What in the world is that? If a woman takes it, will she fall in love with the first man she sees?

While Zhao Rong was still puzzling over this, the assistant had already placed an order. Deeply curious about this elixir, Zhao Rong immediately took out his own phone, opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app, and typed in ”Love-at-First-Sight Elixir.” After finding the product, he began to read the instructions.

The instructions read:

*If you like a girl who doesn’t like you back, you can feed her the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir… Once the girl consumes the elixir, she will instantly faint. When she faints, do not entertain any indecent thoughts, because such thoughts are not only immoral but also illegal. All you need to do is stand in front of the girl and quietly wait for her to wake up. Upon waking, she will fall in love with the first man she lays eyes on. She will give up everything for this man, even her own life.*

After reading the instructions, Zhao Rong felt a chill run down his spine. He couldn’t help but think, The assistant is definitely planning to cheat. If he uses this elixir on Wang Guihua, he won’t need seven days to win her over. It would take only a single day for her to fall in love with him.

Next, Zhao Rong scrolled down to read the user reviews. He wasn’t prepared for how shocking they would be.

One user named ”Ugly_Man_Invincible” had left a comment: ”I’m the ugliest guy at my school, but I fell for the most beautiful girl there. I tried everything in my power to pursue her, but no matter how hard I tried, she wasn’t interested. My classmates even laughed at me and called me a toad lusting after a swan. But then, I logged into the Paradise Shopping Cart website and bought the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir. I immediately put the elixir in the water cup the beauty always used. As soon as she drank the water, she passed out. I stood right in front of her, eagerly waiting for her to wake up. Before I knew it, the campus belle’s eyes fluttered open, and the first thing she saw was me, the ugly man. At that moment, a miracle happened. She not only fell for me but loved me desperately. The problem is, I’m not into her anymore, but I can’t shake her off no matter what I do. Can anyone tell me where I can buy a Heartless Pill?”

Then Zhao Rong read the second user’s comment, which was even more jaw-dropping than the first. A user named ”Pig-Head_Zhang” wrote: ”I’ve had a crush on the goddess next door since we were kids. But because I look like a pig’s head, the celestial beauty not only disliked me but actively avoided me. However, ever since I bought the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir from the Paradise Shopping Cart and secretly gave it to her, she not only fell in love with me but even married me. Now, even though we’re married, I’ve been cheating on her. I want a divorce, but she refuses, no matter what. It doesn’t matter how I hit or curse her; she loves me and is stuck to me like glue. You could say I’ve abused her a thousand times, yet she still treats me like her first love.”

After reading these two reviews, Zhao Rong could no longer remain calm. I not only have to stop the assistant from using the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir on Wang Guihua, but I also have to get this shop selling it removed from the so-called shopping website, he thought. This elixir is just too harmful. At the same time, Zhao Rong shook his head. Whether in marriage or dating, people should be well-matched. Otherwise, when a rich girl gets together with a poor boy, or a goddess with a pig-head—a beauty with a beast—it will never end in happiness. They might even become enemies and come to blows.

Therefore, Zhao Rong immediately reported the shop selling the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir on the Paradise Shopping Cart website. He hoped the deities who ran the site would shut it down and that his assistant wouldn’t be able to get his hands on the elixir.

However, what Zhao Rong hadn’t anticipated was that after purchasing the elixir, the assistant had chosen the Flying Bird Special Ops Courier for delivery. Before Zhao Rong could even put his phone away, a magpie descended from the sky. Upon reaching the assistant, the magpie handed over a package and said, ”Good day, sir. This is your delivery. Please inspect it and sign here.”

As soon as he received the delivery, the assistant jumped up and down excitedly, exclaiming, ”With this Divine Medicine in hand, what beauty in this world could possibly resist me?”

With that, he signed for the elixir, opened the package, and tucked the pill inside into his pocket. He then turned to look back at Wang Guihua with a lecherous grin.

Seeing all this unfold, Zhao Rong immediately walked over and confronted him. ”Assistant,” he demanded, ”what did you just buy?”

The assistant looked up, startled to see Zhao Rong approaching. With a guilty conscience, he stammered, ”Oh, uh, I was bored, so I opened up a shopping site, you know, Taobao, and I bought myself an... airplane...”

Hearing the lie, Zhao Rong reminded him sternly, ”Assistant, you’re a scholarship recipient of the Women’s University. You must be honest and trustworthy.”

The assistant feigned sincerity, patting his chest as he gave his assurance. ”I really did buy an airplane on Taobao... If you don’t believe me, I can take this airplane... out and lend it to you for a couple of days...”

As he spoke, he pulled an object from his pocket. ”This is the airplane I just bought on Taobao,” he said. ”See? And you didn’t believe me...”

When Zhao Rong saw the ”airplane” in the assistant’s hand, he froze for a second. How strange. I clearly saw him buy the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir from the Paradise Shopping Cart just now. How did the elixir turn into an ”airplane” in the blink of an eye?

While Zhao Rong was confused, the assistant was laughing smugly to himself. Heh, I’m so smart. To cover my tracks, I bought this thing on Taobao a while ago and kept it in my pocket. Sure enough, that fool Zhao Rong came over to ask. Good thing I was prepared. I fooled him so easily.

As the assistant gloated, Zhao Rong decided to play along. ”Well,” he said, ”since you bought such a neat little thing on Taobao, why don’t you take it with you at night when you go to the bathroom to... play with it?”

Seeing that he had successfully fooled Zhao Rong, the assistant chuckled. ”See, Brother Zhao Rong? Now you believe me, right?” With that, he turned and walked away.

Watching the assistant’s retreating figure, Zhao Rong quietly took out his phone and opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app again. He went to the search bar and typed in ”antidote for Love-at-First-Sight Elixir.” Instantly, a long list of antidotes appeared. Zhao Rong picked the one with the best user reviews and purchased it. When he received the antidote, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

If that guy really manages to drug Wang Guihua, I’ll go over right away and give her the antidote, Zhao Rong thought.

Meanwhile, after stepping down from the awards platform, the assistant walked through the campus, thinking, What if this Love-at-First-Sight Elixir from the Paradise Shopping Cart doesn’t work? No, I have to test it on someone else before I use it on her.

So, the assistant began to wander around the campus, looking for a target. Before long, his eyes landed on a punkish girl with dyed yellow hair, tattoos, and towering platform heels. He stealthily approached her and, from his pocket, pulled out the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir. Seizing a moment when she wasn’t paying attention, he dropped the elixir into her cup.

At that moment, the punkish girl was boasting to her friends. ”You know,” she said arrogantly, ”the boyfriends you girls have are all ugly and broke. They can’t even compare to mine.”

Her friends looked at her with envy. ”Sister Wang, what does your boyfriend do?” one asked.

The girl thumped her chest and declared, ”My boyfriend is not only six feet tall, but he’s also from a rich family! Plus, he’s even more handsome than Takeshi Kaneshiro, and his finger skills are out of this world. Most importantly, his charisma completely outshines all those stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan!”

When her friends heard how outstanding her boyfriend was, they were eager to meet him. ”Sister Wang, since your boyfriend is so handsome, amazing, and wonderful, you should bring him over to meet us sometime!”

Just then, the girl felt thirsty. She casually picked up the cup beside her and drained its contents in one gulp.

Seeing the girl drink the water he had spiked with the Love-at-First-Sight Elixir, the assistant quickly positioned himself right in front of her. Just as expected, after drinking the water, the girl immediately fainted. The assistant stood over her, eagerly waiting for her to wake up and lay her eyes on him first. This way, the elixir would take full effect, making her fall instantly and hopelessly in love with him.
