Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1698: Chapter 1602: Evidence

Zheng Lixiang’s question was exactly what everyone wanted to ask, even Yang Xiao couldn’t help but look at Huo Sining.

Huo Sining knew why Yang Xiao was struggling just now, because it was Yang Xiao’s personal privacy, Yang Xiao himself didn’t dare to talk about it, so naturally as an outsider, Huo Sining should not speak either.

In fact, just when Zheng Lixiang was questioning Yang Xiao, Huo Sining quietly moved behind Yang Xiao. While touching Yang Xiao’s body with the back of her hand, she used Heavenly Eye to secretly scan Yang Xiao’s body. As expected, the result was just as Huo Sining had thought.

This Yang Xiao was still a virgin.

A virgin, of course, could not have done such an outrageous thing with someone else. The guess that the woman in the video was Yang Xiao broke down without attack, but Yang Xiao couldn’t use this as an excuse to explain openly to everyone.

But, if she couldn’t use this to explain, then how could she argue with these people?

Huo Sining could see that Yang Xiao wanted to clear things up, but she was struggling to produce better evidence.

Her gaze landed on the woman in the video, who was smiling and appeared amorous, and her eyes suddenly stopped, the corners of her mouth tipped up, she said:

”I’m saying the woman in this video is not Yang Xiao, because at the award ceremony, in ’Kite Angel’, there’s a scene with Yang Xiao wearing a backless dress, which captured an image. I remember Yang Xiao’s back seemed to have a dark spot of moderate size. But the woman in this video, her back is smooth and clear, so I’m certain that this person is definitely not Yang Xiao.”

Once Huo Sining said this, everyone was stunned, but the producer on the side suddenly slapped his forehead and said:

”Oh dear, Miss Huo, if you hadn’t mentioned it, I almost forgot. That’s right, Yang Xiao indeed has a spot on her back. At that time, the makeup artist even consulted me, asking if her backless dress should be altered by the props team to cover that dark spot.”

”Later, I mentioned this to the props department, but if we altered the costume, it would increase the budget and also take time, and our production was in a crucial stage of filming. Yang Xiao’s performance state was also very good, so I made the decision to let it go. Later, the editor was directed to cut many of the backless scenes, but not even half a second of footage accidentally exposed the spot which Miss Huo pointed out.”

Huo Sining smiled, in fact, she just used normal logical deduction; she never saw any backless shot of a dark spot.

She only saw the dark spot on Yang Xiao’s back while using Heavenly Eye during the scanning. Since there was a backless dress scene in ”Kite Angel” involving Yang Xiao, she made up an excuse, and surprisingly, it happened to fit perfectly.

Once Huo Sining mentioned this, everyone turned their gaze to the computer screen, eyes widening in an attempt to find any traces on the lead female character.

In this pornographic video, the close-up shots of the female lead were only in those brief two or three seconds, the rest was shot from the back of the lead, so it was quite easy to identify the absence of a dark spot on the back.

However, the group watched the video for a few minutes but couldn’t find the dark spot on Yang Xiao’s back. To verify, Yang Xiao directly changed into a backless dress in the suite inside and came out to let everyone check.

Indeed, as Huo Sining said, Yang Xiao’s back did have a dark spot about the size of half a palm, whereas the woman’s back in the video was very clean, not even a mole was apparent.

”I’ve had that dark spot since I was a kid. My mom said it’s a birthmark I got from the womb, but I’ve never worn a backless outfit, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. But the costume designer, Sister Qiao, advised me to get it surgically removed so it wouldn’t interfere with wearing such dresses.”

When Huo Sining cleared her of suspicion, Yang Xiao was very grateful as she smiled and nodded at Huo Sining before continuing her explanation.

Upon hearing Yang Xiao’s words, the producer became urgent: ”Don’t remove it. This birthmark has been with you since childhood. Whether it’s a blessing or a curse, who can tell? If you rashly get surgery, it may take away your luck.”

Although Huo Sining did not believe in the producer’s superstitious talk, she didn’t agree with removing the birthmark either:

”Yang Xiao, sis, I think the producer is right. You should be glad you didn’t remove that dark spot. Otherwise, today, you wouldn’t have been able to prove your innocence. This shows that this dark spot brings you luck, not disaster. It’s good to keep it, you never know when it might come in handy again.”

Hearing this, Yang Xiao was stunned for a moment, then smiled, and everyone else also got Huo Sining’s teasing meaning and laughed along.

By this time, everyone realized it was all Li Youyou’s conspiracy.

That Li Youyou clearly found someone to act in this video and deliberately swapped it with the sample of their festival entry film, with the purpose of making everyone believe the woman was Yang Xiao after seeing it live. In this way, she could not only ruin Zheng Lixiang’s film entry but also undermine or destroy the career of the rising star, Yang Xiao.

Although Yang Xiao hadn’t intended to, from Li Youyou’s perspective, Yang Xiao had indeed stolen Li Youyou’s lead role, given Li Youyou’s obsessive nature, it made sense she held a grudge not just against Zheng Lixiang, but Yang Xiao as well.

Therefore, what she did was clearly aimed at bringing both Zheng Lixiang and Yang Xiao down.

Seeing this evidence, Zheng Lixiang finally calmed down, looking at Yang Xiao with a trace of apology in her eyes:

”Yang Xiao, I really apologize for suspecting and blaming you earlier. Please don’t take it to heart. I’m relieved knowing the person in the video isn’t you. You are the first newcomer I’ve helped support, and there’s still a long road ahead of you, don’t let me or the company’s expectations down.”

Upon hearing Zheng Lixiang’s words, the grievances and irritations within Yang Xiao were instantly soothed.

Previously, with Zheng Lixiang’s stern doubt indicating distrust, Yang Xiao felt full of humiliation and frustration, yet she couldn’t explain for herself. Now, with Zheng Lixiang’s apology, considering Zheng Lixiang’s situation, Yang Xiao understood it was understandable.

”Sister Zheng, having you recognize me is the greatest fortune of my life. You can rest assured, no matter how things turn out, I’m ready to go back to having nothing again, but I will never betray my principles and original aspiration for fame and fortune!”

Yang Xiao looked steadily at Zheng Lixiang, speaking solemnly.
