Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1679: Chapter 1673: Peking University Professor Offers Strong Support

Director He didn’t expect to be played by Huo Sining, and in front of so many employees, he couldn’t be too stingy. So, he waved his hand and laughed, ”I’ll treat, I must treat. After the show airs at nine, we’ll go celebrate!”

”Ahaha, great, we’re having a feast!”

When Director He said he would treat everyone to dinner, everyone couldn’t help but cheer, and the whole office was filled with joy, with rare smiles on everyone’s faces.

Unable to resist the repeated urging from the program team, Huo Sining also rushed out from home to attend the celebration banquet.

The group of staff knew Huo Sining was getting married the next day, so they all offered their early wedding congratulations.

The Gu Family’s wedding was after all a high-profile event. Without an invitation, ordinary people couldn’t possibly attend. The program team tactfully refrained from asking to attend the wedding, and Huo Sining only invited a few close relatives and friends. She wasn’t planning to invite people she only met through work.

However, she remembered the kindness of these program team staff and planned that after the wedding, she would definitely send someone to the TV station to give these colleagues wedding candies. Although these people couldn’t attend the wedding, the candies they deserved shouldn’t be spared.

Early the next morning, the final viewership data for the program was freshly released. When it was revealed that the ”History of China” program ranked first on the cultural channel with a viewership rating of 1.54%, not only the audience and online viewers, but also many industry program producers were stunned.

——CCTV has produced a dark horse, the ”History of China” viewership has exploded.

——A double win of reputation and ratings, CCTV Channel Ten makes a big move.

——A different kind of historical explanation program, utterly fascinating and gripping!

Many news papers rushed to report on this new episode of Channel Ten’s program, and many forums began to have discussion posts about ”History of China.” Moreover, many netizens eagerly left comments, expressing great interest in and strong recommendations for the program.

”Highly praised, this program is really interesting. I rarely watch TV, but my dad insisted I watch it, and once I sat on the sofa, I couldn’t bear to move.”

”The explanation was really good, and unlike other educational channel programs, this host’s explanations were very down-to-earth and approachable. Even those who haven’t studied much can understand it!”

”Simply amazing, I didn’t even want to change the channel during commercial breaks for an hour-long program, fearing to miss even more exciting content.”

”I feel the same, even after the Shang Zhou Chapter was over, I still wanted more and couldn’t wait for the next episode, it’s really impressive!”

Of course, where there are supporters, there are inevitably critics too.

Some people, seeing so many online praises for the program, naturally sang a different tune.

”Is it really that magical? I watched it and thought it was very ordinary. For a history program, shouldn’t it be serious and solemn? Adding so many gimmicks with antiques and beauties is too flashy, isn’t it?”

”Exactly, what does a young girl know about history? Huaxia’s history spans five thousand years, even Peking University professors don’t dare to cover such a wide range, yet she dares to boast so boldly!”

”They must be paid trolls; if this level can get on TV to talk about history, then we all can, right? How old is this girl anyway, still a student, right? Instead of studying hard, she just wants fame. Today’s young ladies are too utilitarian.”

These people kept raising doubts, but soon, they were silenced by someone.

There was actually a person certified as a Peking University History Professor on Weibo who stood up. His name was Hu Jinhua, a renowned history expert from Peking University, who had been devotedly researching Shang Zhou history for fifty or sixty years and had published many historical research books on the Shang Zhou era.

Such a prominent person, yet he stood up to strongly support Huo Sining, and wrote on his Weibo:

”There is a weakness among our people, the habit of judging people by their appearance. They want their doctors to be grey-haired old men, their chefs to be pot-bellied, even their comedians must be judged by looks, and now, even historians are judged by age and seniority.”

”Who says young age means not understanding history? Who says being beautiful means you can’t be a commentator?”

”I don’t know this Huo Sining, but her explanation is excellent, her perspectives are original, offering a refreshing feeling. And every story she tells is well-founded and impeccable!”

”She doesn’t simply go with the flow. In combining history and antiques, she not only explains historical rules and content to everyone but also shares some of her understandings of the historical facts.”

”History is not as high-end as people think; it belongs to the common people and the masses. As a history researcher, I respect and appreciate this way of narrating history, as she truly speaks history to the people, bringing them closer to history.”

”In this regard, we historians should reflect. In making history formatted and high-end, the starting point was actually wrong.”

”Only when all the people understand the history of Huaxia Country, making the splendid five-thousand-year civilization known to the broad masses, can we say the purpose of studying history is truly achieved.”

”So, in this aspect, I must humbly admit she has achieved what many of us have not. Just with this episode ’Shang Zhou Chapter’, allowing the nation and even the world to understand the history of Huaxia Country’s Shang Zhou period, I must respectfully call her ’teacher’!”

This long Weibo post, once published, quelled the clamorous voices online.

If anyone claims second place in Shang Zhou historical research and knowledge after Professor Hu Jinhua, no one would dare claim first.

With even Hu Jinhua standing out to support Huo Sining, and even saying he would address her as ’teacher’, who would still dare question Huo Sining?

Those who were previously criticizing and saying the program was all hype now felt as though they had been slapped in the face, their cheeks stinging painfully.

”Haha, Professor Hu stood up! Let those critics be humbled!”

”I told you this program was good, even Peking University professors endorse it!”

”If it’s really that amazing, I must watch the next episode too!”

”I am a history teacher myself, with Professor Hu’s endorsement, there’s no more doubt. I must have my students watch this program!”

”I really want to know if the program is fully recorded, and if there are live tickets. I really want to see it live!”

”I want to go too, I really want to witness Miss Huo’s style on stage!”

”...”
