Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1654: Chapter 1638: CCTV Building

Huo Sining didn’t care how Han Wen communicated with the program team, but three days later, Han Wen brought her the producer of the program team, who agreed to her conditions.

Huo Sining had Gu Xu Company’s legal consultant review the contract. Only after confirming there were no issues did she sign the agreement with the program team.

Jade Beauty secured the naming rights for fifty million.

This price might not sound high, but because Huo Sining’s program was broadcast on Channel Ten, and it was an educational science program, it differs significantly from some provincial satellite TV’s variety shows.

Provincial satellite TVs like Hunan Provincial TV Station have fierce battles for naming rights of some branded variety shows in recent years, with advertisers eager to throw money, selling naming rights for a variety show at a price exceeding a hundred million.

This is because variety entertainment programs have a wide audience, high ratings, and viewers prefer watching them. Thus, advertisers prefer investing in these programs, which can bring enormous benefits to their enterprise brands.

However, Huo Sining had some thoughts about her program on CCTV Ten. Since CCTV aims to promote national culture and Huaxia civilization, they’ll certainly try to advertise. At that time, the audience will not only be Huaxia people but also foreigners worldwide who watch programs targeting Chinese people.

Jade Beauty is heading towards internationalization, and it needs a medium for external publicity. This was why Huo Sining initially hoped to tie up long-term cooperation with Xiangnai.

Leveraging CCTV Ten’s program platform, Huo Sining felt it could serve a promotional role. Therefore, she felt spending fifty million was worthwhile and paid the money willingly.

Due to tight timing, Channel Ten specially adjusted the schedule for this program, ready to get it on the air swiftly. Even the publicity department and the broadcasting authority had already green-lighted the program, waiting for the first couple of episodes to be recorded and directly aired, then observing audience feedback.

It was already mid-July, with only about twenty days left until the Olympic Games opened. The program team urgently hoped to finish recording early. After contacting several major museums, confirming artifacts for the initial episodes could be promptly delivered to the TV station, the program team called Huo Sining early that morning.

“Miss Huo, the first episode recording is today. The program team is fully prepared, just waiting for you to come over so we can start. Can you manage to be here by nine?”

Assistant Xu Wei, responsible for liaising with Huo Sining, carefully asked over the phone.

Having been forewarned by the producers, Xu Wei knew this young-looking Miss Huo was not ordinary. Even director Han Wen dared not loudly command this young girl, so Xu Wei, just an intern, certainly wouldn’t dare put on airs before Huo Sining.

Receiving this call, Huo Sining promptly frowned.

Even though she had contacted the program team beforehand, she planned to stay in the Imperial Capital at all times, prepared to heed the program team’s call.

However, even if the program team summons, they should give some preparation and buffer time. Notifying the day before for a program recording today – now, it’s already eight o’clock – is too rushed, isn’t it?

“Starting at nine? Isn’t that a bit tight?”

Huo Sining asked, somewhat puzzled.

Xu Wei was a bit embarrassed: “Well, Miss Huo, I’m really sorry. I only received the director’s notice after clocking in at the station, saying today’s recording. It’s unavoidable; those artifacts are deployed from various provincial museums. We need to coordinate with the museums’ schedule. Those items are significant; our program team can’t occupy them for long; if anything goes wrong, the responsibility is beyond what our program team can bear.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining understood. She glanced at the time, already at eight. However, she lived in a villa area, somewhat remote, worrying about potential traffic jams in the morning – the traffic situation in the Imperial Capital truly isn’t easy to manage.

“How about this, I’ll drive over now, but I can’t guarantee arriving within an hour. If I delay, please apologize to the director and explain my situation; I’ll get there as soon as possible.”

Saying this, Huo Sining took the car keys from the coffee table and headed straight to the garage.

Within the garage, besides the Maybach driven by Gu Xu, was a Lexus. This car, like the Maybach, was understated yet luxurious, fitting Gu Xu’s status.

But this car is mostly driven by men; although it’s a sedan, its vibe is somewhat mature, not quite matching a youthful girl like Huo Sining.

However, it wasn’t the time to be particular; Huo Sining wasn’t polite and drove this Lexus directly, heading for the CCTV Building.

On the way, a traffic jam indeed occurred. On unobstructed sections, Huo Sining had no choice but to speed up, but despite her best efforts, she couldn’t reach the location by nine.

Xu Wei called several times to inquire. Considering Huo Sining’s status, Xu Wei couldn’t rush her, but Huo Sining could sense the urgency in the young girl’s voice, knowing she was indeed delaying things.

But the traffic in the Imperial Capital truly couldn’t be resolved with haste, and she couldn’t have the car fly there; having such a special ability would be nice.

At this time, the CCTV Building wasn’t yet the grand headquarters; far less imposing than after renovations. The old site building nestled by the Haidian District Military Museum.

If Huo Sining remembered correctly, the headquarters wouldn’t officially be completed until the end of 2010.

Once at the location, it was already nine-thirty. In a rush, Huo Sining walked towards the entrance, only to be stopped by the military police at the door.

“Miss Huo, here you are, finally. Let’s go; our director has been impatiently waiting. We’ll quickly enter, change clothes, and apply makeup – not sure how long it will take…”

Huo Sining was about to explain when Xu Wei suddenly rushed from the lobby. It seemed she had been waiting at the entrance for a long time.

Seeing Huo Sining emerge from the car, Xu Wei’s eyes lit up like a starving wolf seeing food, eagerly coming forward and hanging a pre-prepared access pass around Huo Sining’s neck, then hurriedly ushered her into the building.

The guards who originally stopped Huo Sining no longer blocked her upon seeing the access pass around her neck.
