Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1655: Chapter 1639: Makeup

Upon entering the building, someone immediately approached her, the producer she had signed the agreement with before:

”Miss Huo, you’ve arrived. Xiao Xu, quickly take Miss Huo to change her clothes and do her makeup. The director is in a hurry.”

Huo Sining laughed and said, ”Just keep it simple, okay? If it gets too fancy, it’ll feel awkward and I won’t perform well on stage.”

The producer laughed immediately, ”How could that be? They’re all professional makeup artists. Filming a program is different from a live performance. Live shows focus on wide shots and don’t have many close-ups, so the makeup isn’t as crucial. But during filming, your face is in close-up all the time. Without makeup, under the bright lights, you’d look as lifeless as a zombie and wouldn’t be photogenic at all.”

”Moreover, you wouldn’t want people to see all the pimples and rashes on TV, right? Under a high-definition camera, without foundation, all those things would be crystal clear.”

Huo Sining didn’t know much about these things, so she didn’t ask further, nodding, ”Alright, I’ll follow your arrangement.”

Just then, a female makeup artist who seemed to be in her forties walked in with a makeup case.

Huo Sining was holding the clothes she was going to wear for the program, preparing to go to the changing room, when the makeup artist stopped her, staring at her face for several seconds before turning to the producer and smiling:

”Producer Li, you might have been wrong about that. This lady’s skin is better maintained than any big star I’ve ever seen, hardly any pores, full of collagen, probably so supple it could bounce back. Even under a high-definition camera, you wouldn’t see any rashes or pimples, her skin might just look a little dull.”

The producer laughed hearing this, ”Miss Huo’s natural beauty makes your job easier, right? No need for those concealers and thick foundation, saving you time while the director is already waiting impatiently.”

The makeup artist nodded, ”With her skin condition, just a little white cream as a base, and she’s a vibrant young girl. Youth is wonderful, I’ve been doing makeup for so many years, and the only other time I’ve seen skin like this was on my little niece, and she’s not even ten yet.”

Huo Sining had changed into a qipao and emerged. Since the program was related to antiques, the production team had specially asked a designer to prepare several sets of qipao for her, as it’s a unique clothing style of Huaxia.

Being naturally slender, the qipao transformed her entire demeanor.

As she stepped out of the changing room, everyone in the makeup room was stunned. The makeup artist nodded repeatedly, ”It’s beautiful, this qipao fits perfectly, just like a noble lady from ancient times, matching Miss Huo’s temperament very well.”

Huo Sining smiled a little embarrassedly. She rarely wore such clothes as she often traveled around and occasionally had to go into the sea. While they looked nice, they were too inconvenient, so she seldom bought them.

However, this qipao was tailored for her, fitting perfectly, even she was pleasantly surprised. An idea started forming in her mind that once she returned, she would definitely get a few more such qipao made for her.

The makeup artist worked for a while on Huo Sining’s face, applying a thin layer of foundation, drawing her eyebrows, applying blush and lipstick, and finally arranging her hair into a bun. This didn’t take much time, but afterwards, the mirror reflected a woman with exquisite makeup and alluring beauty.

”She really looks like she’s stepped out of a painting; her features are distinct and skin delicate. Miss Huo, you’re truly born to be in front of the camera. It’s a pity you’re not pursuing this path.”

After finding out she’d be doing makeup for Huo Sining, the makeup artist inquired about her.

After learning she was the Miss Magic who had become very famous after a Spring Festival Gala performance, she had a great impression of Huo Sining. But she found it regrettable that after her overnight fame, Huo Sining didn’t take on ads, act in dramas, or engage in commercial performances.

Which celebrity doesn’t dream of overnight fame, and which one wouldn’t ride that wave, keep releasing new works, and soar with ad endorsements?

Huo Sining had such an opportunity and the qualifications, but she let her popularity fade away, which was a great pity.

However, Huo Sining only smiled at the makeup artist’s remarks, not minding them.

She truly had no interest in entering the entertainment industry. She agreed to do this ten-episode program mainly out of regard for Liu Qingdong and Han Wen, and the program’s naming rights.

It was just for fun. If she were really asked to enter the entertainment industry, take ads, or act, she would rather go fishing in the sea, gamble on jade in Myanmar, or seek treasures on Antique Street. Any of these would earn her more money than acting or filming ads.

But Huo Sining wasn’t going to explain this to the makeup artist. Given her current wealth and status, she didn’t need to strive in the entertainment industry, especially since the entertainment world is complicated. Huo Sining neither excelled in nor enjoyed navigating through people with ulterior motives. It was better to stay simple in the antique appraisal circle.

With her makeup done, Xu Wei led Huo Sining to the studio.

The CCTV Hall was linked to the studio entrance, so there were a lot of people coming in and out. Some celebrities were practicing singing, others were urging actors to go on stage, and some directors and coordinators were busily explaining scenes to actors. The whole hall was noisy, giving Huo Sining a very chaotic impression.

However, as soon as Huo Sining entered the hall, many people noticed this unfamiliar woman who suddenly appeared. Suddenly, the hall went quiet, and many people started looking her way, some even whispering to each other.

”Who’s that? How come I’ve never seen her before? Is she a new host hired by the TV station?”

”I don’t know, but she’s pretty. Maybe she’s favored by some director or the deputy head of the station.”

”Shh, keep it down. Don’t speculate if you don’t know. Do you know who she is?”

”Who? Why so mysterious, isn’t she just a news anchor?”

”Who told you she’s a news anchor? This woman’s name is Huo Sining. She’s the one who performed magic during the Spring Festival Gala last year!”
