Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 630: Chapter 627: Plant Spiritual Energy

The shop owner had an affinity for flowers and became somewhat angry upon hearing Hu Yongyuan’s irresponsible remark,

”If you’re going to raise orchids, you should understand the temperament of orchid flowers. Petal lotuses are particularly precious and difficult to cultivate. Once you’ve bought it, you must take good care of it. How could you be so careless?”

Upon hearing this, Hu Yongyuan bowed deeply and apologized profusely, ”Uncle Ma, it’s my fault. I’ve been so busy recently I’ve neglected the flower. But as soon as I realized there was a problem, I came to you, didn’t I? Please forgive me this once. I’ll take another pot from your shop, and I promise this will never happen again!”

The shop owner huffed, ”Did you come by car? I was just about to deliver some flowers to this young lady, and your timing is perfect. Help me deliver the lady’s flowers to her home first!”

”Alright!” Hu Yongyuan agreed cheerfully, lifting the Droplet Guanyin that Huo Sining had purchased and turning to her, ”Let’s go, I’ll help you deliver the flowers.”

Not demanding any compensation? Huo Sining was somewhat stunned, looking at Hu Yongyuan as if he were a fool.

If it were someone else, they would definitely have concealed the truth or even exaggerated the situation to extort money from Huo Sining. But to her surprise, this man honestly admitted the problem with the orchid and, waiving any compensation, agreed to deliver the flowers with a smile.

Indeed, appearances can be deceiving. Judging by his ruffian attire and initially impudent speech, she hadn’t expected him to be so agreeable.

Although Huo Sining initially had a poor impression of the man, she now felt he wasn’t so bad after all.

She nodded with a smile, preparing to leave, when the middle-aged shop owner had already brought over a broom to clean up the aftermath of the accident.

Huo Sining’s eyes fell on the shattered flowerpot and the snapped orchid grass on the ground, and suddenly, she paused, looking towards the orchid with a hint of slyness in her eyes.

”Boss, can I have this petal lotus?” she asked cautiously, pointing to the broken plant on the ground.

The shop owner paused, looked at Huo Sining curiously, and said, ”If you want it, just take it, but let me tell you, young lady, this flower is really beyond saving. You won’t be able to revive it even if you take it home.”

You might not be able to save it, but that doesn’t mean I can’t. Huo Sining thought to herself sarcastically. Indeed, she didn’t recognize a Great Luo Immortal, but she had the Water-Repelling Pearl, and the Spirit of Azure Pearl could miraculously rejuvenate plants, possibly rivaling a Great Luo Immortal in efficacy.

Having received the shop owner’s consent, Huo Sining wasted no time. She asked the owner for a new pot and then swiftly swept the orchid into it along with the soil, moving with such agile speed that it left the owner gobsmacked.

In the end, the shop owner watched Huo Sining calmly walk out with the pot, not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Hu Yongyuan couldn’t help but tease Huo Sining in the car.

Huo Sining’s face showed little emotion, but inside, her heart was blooming with joy.

When they reached the luxury residential area, Hu Yongyuan was surprised, ”You live here?”

Huo Sining nodded.

Hu Yongyuan looked at Huo Sining and suddenly found her familiar, ”Is your last name Huo?”

Huo Sining was a bit surprised, ”How did you know?”

Of course I know, I’ve even seen your magic performances, I was one of your die-hard fans!

However, Hu Yongyuan dared not say this aloud, since he was, after all, a lecturer at S University. If people found out he was a die-hard fan of a little girl, they would definitely laugh their heads off.

Nevertheless, recalling the incident at the flower shop just now, Hu Yongyuan still couldn’t help but twitch the corners of his mouth and inwardly cursed himself for being foolish. How could he have thought this girl was short on money and refused to accept compensation from her? If this woman was poor, then there would be so many impoverished people all over the world.

Thinking of the eight thousand yuan, which accounted for two months of his salary, just slipping through his fingers, Hu Yongyuan couldn’t help but feel a pang of financial regret as if he had suffered a great loss.

Huo Sining, of course, was unaware of what Hu Yongyuan was thinking; she asked him to help move the pot of Calla lilies into the yard and then graciously thanked him.

Although Hu Yongyuan felt the pinch of losing eight thousand yuan, the thought of Uncle Ma’s promise to let him pick another pot of Orchid Grass somewhat pacified him. He was set on going back to Boss Ma’s shop to select another pot of Orchid Grass, so after delivering the goods to Huo Sining, he did not delay and turned to leave her yard straight away.

The first thing Huo Sining did when she got home was to repair the broken Orchid Grass. She couldn’t wait to take it out, closed her eyes slightly, and concentrated on channeling the Five-Colored Spiritual Qi into the snapped stem of the orchid.

Before long, with the Spirit of Azure Pearl flowing into it, the drooping orchid gradually revived. The fractured stem’s veins also slowly healed, eventually restoring it to its original condition, and the crease disappeared without a trace!

When Huo Sining opened her eyes, she saw a lush Orchid Grass thriving in the pot, with no sign of the previous crease or fallen leaves.

What surprised Huo Sining the most was that at the top of the Petal Lotus, tiny tender buds had actually sprung up!

Huo Sining’s eyes widened in astonishment. If she remembered correctly, Boss Ma had clearly stated that the flower was beyond cure due to sun exposure and moldy rain, and it was only destined to die.

It seemed that the Spirit of Azure Pearl not only repaired the orchid’s stem, healed its diseases, but also rejuvenated it with vitality?

This thought flashed through Huo Sining’s mind because at the same time, through her Heavenly Eye, she noticed a faint Green Spiritual Energy on the orchid.

Seeing spiritual energy, Huo Sining was stunned.

She had always thought that only antiques and jewelry possessed spiritual energy, and it never occurred to her that plants could have it too.

The spiritual energy in this Orchid Grass was different from the Purple Spiritual Qi found on antique ceramics, and even from the energy in emerald gemstones.

Inside the stem of this Petal Lotus was an energy that felt very comfortable and full of vitality. While Huo Sining was repairing it, that energy even hovered around her wrist, making her whole body feel refreshed as if she had soaked in the spring breeze, fresh and joyful like she had taken in a full breath of oxygen.

Huo Sining found it strange, so she used her Heavenly Eye to look through the Droplet Guanyin plant as well, only to find that there was no Green Spiritual Energy on it.

This Droplet Guanyin plant was much larger than the Orchid Grass, so why did the Orchid Grass have spiritual energy whilst the Droplet Guanyin did not?

Unable to figure it out, Huo Sining felt perplexed and decided to put it aside for the moment. She planted the Orchid Grass in a pot and then placed the pot on her study desk in her room.

As she turned her head, she saw a ceramic pot on the windowsill, inside which a lotus flower was cultivated.
