Urban Martial Saint

Listening to the Purple Robe Lama, Helian Tiehua showed little surprise, indicating that the actions of the Purple Robe Lama were not unexpected to him.

Seeing Helian Tiehua’s expression, Ye Qing said nothing. He trusted Helian Tiehua; as long as this person was here, he wouldn’t let Ye Qing suffer any losses. So, he simply went over, sat down, and said, ”Please, Venerable, go on.”

The Purple Robe Lama nodded and said, ”Mr. Ye, these children are extremely important to us in Brahminism. Therefore, this matter cannot be halted; we must continue with it.”

Ye Qing slightly frowned, not expecting the Purple Robe Lama to persist in this matter. If he continued, he would definitely have to take many children to Tianzhu, a thing Ye Qing was very much against.

”However...” the Purple Robe Lama lightly smiled and said, ”I think Mr. Ye is quite right; the journey to Tianzhu is long, and no matter what happens along the way, we cannot bear such responsibility. Thus, I have thought of a compromise.”

Upon hearing this suggestion from the Purple Robe Lama, Ye Qing felt slightly at ease. As long as the children were not taken away, everything else could be negotiated.

”Please, Venerable, go on,” Ye Qing said.

The Purple Robe Lama said, ”Our trip to Huaxia this time is solely to find one person. This person has a fate with our Buddha, and we must take this individual back to Tianzhu. Regardless of whether Mr. Ye agrees, we are determined to proceed. However, to prevent other children from suffering, we have decided not to take them to Tianzhu, only the child we seek.”

Ye Qing was silent for a moment, not opposing the words of the Purple Robe Lama. The presence of Brahminism in Huaxia with such effort, even with the personal arrival of the Purple Robe Lama, solely to find one person, indicates the significant importance of this person to Brahminism. If Ye Qing were to interfere further, the matter would indeed become insoluble. Moreover, since the person has an inseparable connection with Brahminism, there is no need for him to obstruct, as long as other children are not involved.

Seeing that Ye Qing did not object, the Purple Robe Lama continued, ”However, Mr. Ye, I might need a small favor from you.”

”Please, Venerable, go on.” This was the third time Ye Qing had said this without offering any opposing opinion.

The Purple Robe Lama nodded and said, ”Mr. Ye, do you remember the children you brought back last time? It was said that you almost sent them all back home?”

”Yes.” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”Venerable, do you still wish to find them?”

”Of course, we need to find them, but this time we won’t take those children away,” the Purple Robe Lama said. ”However, Mr. Ye, while we are searching for this person, there are others also seeking them. Their intentions are different from ours; they want to kill this person and sever our fate with the Buddha.”

Ye Qing was silent for a moment and then said, ”Is the Venerable afraid that I will reveal the identities of these children?”

”Hahaha...” the Purple Robe Lama laughed and said, ”Mr. Ye is indeed a perceptive person; our concern does lie there. We know how to find these children, but the other group doesn’t. They will follow in our footsteps to kill. However, if they find out in advance who we are looking for, I am afraid they will act before us and harm these children.”

Ye Qing’s expression changed, and he said coldly, ”Do they mean to kill so many children?”

The Purple Robe Lama slowly nodded and said, ”To these people, if there are one thousand, they will kill one thousand; if there are ten thousand, they will kill ten thousand. Better to kill wrongly than to spare!”

Ye Qing immediately clenched his fists and said coldly, ”I am curious about what kind of identities these people have?”

”It is somewhat complicated and not easy to explain. However, this is our issue, and Mr. Ye need not worry,” the Purple Robe Lama said. ”The first help I need from Mr. Ye is not to reveal the identities and list of those children from last time. Otherwise, it could lead to a disaster for them. When that happens, it won’t be just one or two that die.”

Ye Qing took a deep breath and nodded solemnly, ”Rest assured, Venerable, I will not disclose this information.”

”That’s for the best.” The Purple Robe Lama nodded and said, ”Since General Helian is here today, I hope he can serve as a witness, hoping Mr. Ye will keep this secret. Of course, I must say this upfront: if Mr. Ye divulges this matter causing any unforeseen incidents for the children, I will not be merciful!”

The latter part of the Purple Robe Lama’s words was very cold, showing the importance he attached to the matter.

”Rest assured, Venerable.” Ye Qing said, ”Since I have given my word not to leak this matter, I will not speak of it. With General Helian as a witness today, I am bound by my word!”

”Good!” The Purple Robe Lama laughed heartily, ”Mr. Ye is indeed straightforward; with your assurance, I am relieved. What happened today was offensive, but I hope Mr. Ye forgives us. In fact, this was a play acted out by General Helian and me to see what Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun wanted to accomplish.”

”Oh?” Ye Qing was surprised; he hadn’t expected that tonight’s events were merely a play by Helian Tiehua and the Purple Robe Lama. So everything the Purple Robe Lama did just now was to deceive Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun?

Li Qianqiu also looked at Helian Tiehua with surprise. Helian Tiehua nodded and said, ”I had noticed that Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi had been following Ye Qing these past few days. Initially, I thought they were going to attack Ye Qing, but later realized something wasn’t right. They had many opportunities to strike but never did, so we suspected they had different motives. Plus, recalling the incident where Ning Qianshu’s people killed those mercenaries, we suspected that these two might actually be protecting Ye Qing. Thus, the Purple-robed Elder and I staged this play to determine their intentions.”

”As it turns out, our suspicions were correct.” The Purple Robe Lama laughed, ”These two were indeed protecting Mr. Ye.”

Ye Qing was greatly surprised and curiously asked, ”Why are they protecting me?”

”Who knows?” The Purple Robe Lama shook his head, ”However, it seems that, until the fifteenth of next month, their mission is to ensure your safety, Mr. Ye. In other words, during this period, they will act like your personal bodyguards, defending you against any attack.”

”The fifteenth of next month!” Helian Tiehua nodded slowly, ”The fifteenth of next month is the opening day of Medicine King Mountain. It seems this matter might be related to the opening of Medicine King Mountain.”

The Purple Robe Lama also nodded, sharing a similar thought with Helian Tiehua. However, without knowing the true details of the matter, no one could be certain.

Ye Qing, on the other hand, was very shocked, not expecting Helian Tiehua and the Purple Robe Lama to know about the upcoming opening of Medicine King Mountain. It seems this isn’t much of a secret anymore. With the imminent opening of Medicine King Mountain, even the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun will personally make an appearance. It looks like Medicine King Mountain will indeed become a place of converging interests on the fifteenth of next month.

Naturally, what surprised Ye Qing the most was the fact that Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun were protecting him. Though the exact reasons were unclear, the lengths these two were willing to go—including confronting the Purple Robe Lama—to ensure his safety suggested they genuinely needed him to survive, at least until the fifteenth of next month. This surprised Ye Qing, while also sparking a bold idea in his mind.

Since these two needed to ensure his safety, no matter what Ye Qing did during this period, they would have to strictly protect him.

This wasn’t a minor matter. Given that Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun possess strength comparable to Peak Masters, and although both lost to Helian Tiehua and the Purple Robe Lama, it wasn’t due to their lack of strength, but rather because Helian Tiehua and the Purple Robe Lama had practiced the Ultimate Technique of Patriarch Bodhidharma, and defeating those two was not an easy task.

With these two acting as personal protectors, who in the world could possibly harm Ye Qing? Suddenly, Ye Qing felt that having these two protect him without making use of this opportunity was truly wasteful. With these two at his side, there were a lot of things he could accomplish. For example, confronting Northern Martial Zen Wanyan or Prince Wan Yan, where he previously had no voice and could only run away, now accompanied by these two Peak Masters, it was time to challenge Northern Zen and Prince Wan Yan.

Helian Tiehua and the Purple Robe Lama had no idea what Ye Qing was thinking as they further discussed the situation with Medicine King Mountain. In fact, their understanding of the matters related to Medicine King Mountain wasn’t as deep as that of Shen Tianjun. After all, Divine Doctor An Shiping had a rather good relationship with the Shen Family, and many secrets regarding Divine Doctor An Shiping were known to Shen Tianjun, but not to the others like Helian Tiehua or the Purple Robe Lama.

However, their discussion didn’t last long, as the Purple Robe Lama had urgent matters to attend to, so he didn’t linger much longer in Shenchuan City.
