”Hahaha...” Old Wang Ba laughed heartily and said, ”Of course, of course. If you help me save this person, I’ll never mention this again, and I certainly won’t use it to blackmail you anymore. You can rest assured. If I wanted to threaten you, there are plenty of ways, no need to use just this one thing.”

Ye Qing widened his eyes and said, ”You plan to blackmail me again in the future?”

”Just kidding, just kidding, don’t get excited, don’t get excited.” Old Wang Ba quickly laughed and said, ”Alright, no more nonsense, let’s talk about the second thing, a very crucial matter.”

”Go ahead.” Ye Qing replied angrily. Every time he talked with Old Wang Ba on the phone, it always made him want to punch someone.

Old Wang Ba said, ”The second thing is quite simple. After you save that person, go to the Shen Family Manor immediately and ask Shen Tianjun to step out. Tell him that the Mountain Defense Array at Medicine King Mountain is about to open, and the herbs he needs can finally be picked.”

”Oh?” Ye Qing was taken aback and asked curiously, ”What Medicine King Mountain? What herbs does Uncle Shen want? He’s already secluded himself in Shen Family Manor and won’t leave. Why should I tell him this?”

”Rest assured, as long as he has a breath left, he’ll definitely come out,” Old Wang Ba said. ”He left twenty years ago and traveled the world during those twenty years, just to find medicine that could cure Shen Lingwei’s eyes. However, many of these medicines are unique to Medicine King Mountain, and he couldn’t collect them. Now that the mountain is finally opening, he definitely won’t miss the opportunity!”

Ye Qing suddenly understood. He had previously thought that Shen Tianjun left Shen Family Manor due to a dispute with Old Madam Shen over Shen Lingwei’s situation. Later, Ye Qing realized that Old Madam Shen was actually kind-hearted and cared for Shen Lingwei. She wasn’t unreasonable like that, which puzzled him. Now it became clear why Shen Tianjun had left the manor for twenty years. It turns out he was searching for medicine to cure Shen Lingwei’s eyes.

But what exactly is Medicine King Mountain? Why is it sealed with a Mountain Defense Array? And what kind of medicines are there that only Medicine King Mountain has? Plus, where exactly is Medicine King Mountain? How come Ye Qing had never heard of it before?

”Okay, I will definitely inform Uncle Shen about this matter,” Ye Qing said. ”Are you done with your two matters?”

”Yes, I’m done,” Old Wang Ba replied.

Ye Qing took a deep breath and said, ”Alright, now can you tell me where Zi Yu is specifically?”

”No,” Old Wang Ba replied confidently.

Ye Qing had anticipated that Old Wang Ba would try to renege and immediately retorted, ”Old Wang Ba, how come you never keep your word? You just said if I listened to your two matters, you’d tell me where Zi Yu is. Don’t go back on your word.”

”That was what you said, I didn’t agree,” Old Wang Ba said. ”Plus, I already told you Huangfu Ziyu’s location before. That’s my bottom line, don’t make it difficult for me.”

”What do you mean you told me? You said the entire Meng District, such a large area, how am I supposed to find her there?” Ye Qing said anxiously.

”Oh, young man, don’t be impulsive. As the saying goes, if it’s meant to be, you’ll meet even if you’re thousands of miles apart. As long as you two have a connection, it doesn’t matter if she’s abroad; you’ll meet again regardless,” Old Wang Ba laughed.

”Spare me these platitudes,” Ye Qing said. ”You’ve dragged this out for so long. Why can’t you just tell me where Zi Yu is?”

”I’m not telling you because there’s a reason. She is currently handling a very important matter and cannot be disturbed by anyone. Once she’s done with it, she will come to find you without needing you to search for her,” Old Wang Ba said. ”Even if you find her now, all you’d do is cause her trouble. So listen to me and don’t rush to find her. When the time is right, you’ll meet. Right now, focus on the tasks at hand. The two things I asked you to do are very important. Understood?”

”No way!” Ye Qing shook his head decisively and said, ”If you don’t tell me Zi Yu’s whereabouts, don’t expect me to do those two things. At least, I won’t do what you want me to do to save that person, no matter what.”

Old Wang Ba said, ”Oh dear, are you going to refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit? If you don’t do this, I’ll spread the word about you having the True Gold Silk Armor. Let’s see if you can live comfortably then.”

Ye Qing said angrily, ”Go ahead and spread it. The True Gold Silk Armor is already hidden by me. It’s not going to be easy for them to find it.”

Old Wang Ba was speechless and said, ”You... are you really going for a ’fight to the death’ strategy?”

Ye Qing said, ”Yes, I’m ready to go all out. You’ve tricked me so many times, and I haven’t even held you accountable. If you don’t give me an answer about Zi Yu, then don’t expect me to help you with anything else.”

”Fine, you have guts!” Old Wang Ba took a deep breath and suddenly said, ”Since you’re unwilling to save that person, I won’t force you. But don’t say I didn’t warn you; that person is related to the Divine Doctor’s Order you hold. Aren’t you interested in knowing what the Divine Doctor’s Order is used for?”

Ye Qing’s expression changed slightly. The fact that he had the Divine Doctor’s Order was something he never told anyone, yet Old Wang Ba managed to deduce it. It seemed he truly couldn’t underestimate this old fellow.

”You know what the Divine Doctor’s Order is used for?” Ye Qing quickly asked.

”Of course, how many things in this world can be hidden from me?” Old Wang Ba said proudly.

”So, what exactly is the Divine Doctor’s Order for?” Ye Qing asked eagerly.

”Do you want to know?” Old Wang Ba laughed.

”No shit!” Ye Qing said, ”Just tell me if having the Divine Doctor’s Order with me is good or bad, or if there’s any danger.”

Old Wang Ba laughed and said, ”If you want to know, go save the person I mentioned. After saving them, you’ll understand what the Divine Doctor’s Order is for!”

”You...” Ye Qing was about to say something when Old Wang Ba decisively hung up the phone, not giving Ye Qing any more chance to speak.

”Hey hey hey!” Ye Qing almost coughed up blood in anger. Old Wang Ba, that old guy, just loved to pull this stunt, hanging up before finishing the conversation. Ye Qing quickly checked the number to call back, but it was already unreachable. It seemed Old Wang Ba did this on purpose.

Beside him, Li Lianshan noticed Ye Qing’s frustrated expression and said softly, ”Ye Zi, what happened? Where’s that old guy now?”

”He didn’t say,” Ye Qing shrugged helplessly and said, ”That old guy, don’t let me catch him, or I’ll give him a full set of the Qing Dynasty’s ten tortures first!”

If others saw Ye Qing like this, they would be very surprised, as Ye Qing was not someone who typically lost his temper. However, Li Lianshan understood the situation well, as he also knew Old Wang Ba, who was truly the kind of person who could even infuriate the most honest individuals.

”Are you still going to handle the things he talked about?” Li Lianshan asked quietly. ”If we need to go to Beijiang City, we have to prepare in advance. There’s only one flight a day to Beijiang City, which leaves in the morning.”

Ye Qing scratched his head. He really didn’t want to go to Beijiang City because whatever Old Wang Ba wanted him to do, he had a vague feeling it was a trap. But after thinking it over, he decided to make the trip to Beijiang City. If nothing else, the matter of the Divine Doctor’s Order was enough of a reason for Ye Qing to go. After all, he really wanted to know what this Divine Doctor’s Order was all about!

The flight to Beijiang City was at 7:30 in the morning, and Ye Qing specifically brought two Divine Doctor’s Orders, wanting to figure out what they were.

When he reached Beijiang City, it was already past 9 a.m. Ye Qing didn’t waste time and headed directly to Dongwan Wharf.

Dongwan Wharf was actually an already abandoned wharf in Beijiang City, due to its location and transportation issues. There were very few people around. Because of this, the wharf had become a favorite spot for illegal immigrants, with a few boats daily dedicated to taking people away.

Before coming to Beijiang City, Ye Qing had already gathered enough information about Dongwan Wharf. The human smuggling operations there were mostly managed by someone known as the Water Snake, so he was the most knowledgeable about how many boats left daily and how many people smuggled out.

Ye Qing didn’t know whom exactly Old Wang Ba wanted him to save, but presumably, it should be someone trying to smuggle out. Old Wang Ba certainly didn’t mean for him to save the locals there. As for whom among the illegal immigrants he should save, he would have to see who was in danger at night.

After carefully observing the terrain around the wharf, Ye Qing found a lodging in a nearby village to stay. He didn’t step out the entire day, waiting for the night to come.

Old Wang Ba had told him to save someone at 11 p.m., which meant if something were really going to happen, it would be around that time. So, at 9:30 p.m., Ye Qing left the inn and quietly made his way to the wharf via a small path.

The distance from the village to the wharf was not far, and Ye Qing arrived around 10 p.m. During the day, he had already found a great spot where he could hide and observe the entire wharf. So that night, he headed straight for the spot he had picked earlier.

However, as soon as he arrived, Ye Qing noticed something was amiss. Three people were already hiding there, observing the wharf with binoculars.

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. Could these three people be the ones planning to kill someone tonight? Was Old Wang Ba’s intention for him to save someone from these individuals? If so, that would be simple — just deal with these three people.
