Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing took Hou Jianshu’s gun, gently stroking it in his hands, and softly said, ”It’s been a long time since I held a gun, I wonder if my aim is still good!”

Upon hearing this, Hou Jianshu immediately whispered, ”Boss Ye, if you can’t shoot, why don’t I do it? I’ve been trained before!”

Zhao Chengshuang was speechless for a moment and glared, ”Shut up, Ye Zi is from the Special Forces, how can his level be worse than your amateurish skills?”

Hou Jianshu only knew that Ye Qing was very influential in Shenchuan City, but he had no idea what Ye Qing used to do. Hearing this, he couldn’t help but shiver again, if a Special Forces member got a gun, what would happen?

Ye Qing gripped the gun tightly, casually aiming it a few times, mentally calculating the caliber power and the external wind speed’s effects, which are major factors impacting accuracy. In this aspect, Ye Qing wasn’t particularly skilled; the Eagle Eye he trained was the best marksman in the entire Special Forces, and Ye Qing had only learned a few things from him.

However, what Ye Qing learned was enough to deal with these people. After all, this was close quarters combat, not long-range sniping, so it wasn’t that difficult.

The people Su Kaicheng brought were just shooting at these men, but they ultimately got ambushed and were outnumbered. Plus, the enemy had snipers providing cover, so Su Kaicheng’s people were naturally no match. Within a few minutes, most of Su Kaicheng’s men were down, while the other side only lost two people, and the car charged towards Ye Qing’s group completely unscathed.

Hou Jianshu and his men held the entrance of the building. When the car was more than fifty meters away, Ye Qing grabbed a table in the house and threw it outside, then followed it, rolling behind it on the ground.

”Oh no!” Hou Jianshu exclaimed, ”What’s Boss Ye doing with that? That wooden table can’t stop bullets, has he watched too many movies?”

Zhao Chengshuang also widened his eyes, he couldn’t believe Ye Qing was using a wooden table as cover, wasn’t that suicidal?

However, just as they were surprised, a shocking scene unfolded. It seemed like Ye Qing was rushing out with the wooden table, but in reality, when he rolled, he changed direction and came out from behind the table.

The people in the car saw Ye Qing rushing out and thought he was going to use the wooden table as cover. So they aimed their guns at the table, laughing and shooting. They knew very well that the table couldn’t stop bullets, anyone with common sense wouldn’t come out to die like this, Ye Qing must have watched too many movies, coming out to seek death.

While they were shooting at the table, Ye Qing dashed out from the side. By the time they realized what happened and tried to turn their guns on Ye Qing, it was too late. Ye Qing had already aimed at them, firing several shots in quick succession, and they all fell, the driver included, with no suspense at all.

The people inside were stunned, especially Hou Jianshu, his eyes nearly popped out. There were four people in the car and Ye Qing took less than ten seconds to shoot them all. In those ten seconds, he had to fire four shots and hit four targets, how was that possible?

”Yes!” Zhao Chengshuang shouted excitedly. He always knew Ye Qing had been in the army, but he never thought Ye Qing’s marksmanship was this good.

In fact, to true marksmanship experts, Ye Qing’s four shots weren’t particularly difficult. You have to know, by the time Ye Qing rushed out, the car was less than twenty meters away. And the car was coming straight, making aiming not hard, the real challenge was firing four consecutive shots in a short time, taking out all of them.

Ten seconds might be fast for these policemen, but to a real sharpshooter, that’s considered slow.

However, Ye Qing didn’t need exemplary marksmanship, just being able to break out of the immediate predicament was enough.

Seeing Ye Qing standing still outside, Zhao Chengshuang urged, ”Ye Zi, why are you still there, hurry back, there are snipers!”

Ye Qing waved at him, looking up at the tall buildings near the orphanage. Strangely, since Ye Qing rushed out, those snipers seemed to be silent, not making any moves or aiming at Ye Qing.

”Huh? Where did those snipers go?” Hou Jianshu cautiously peeked out, not daring to leave the building’s range, of course, he saw nothing.

While everyone was surprised over here, a scream suddenly came from the rooftop in the distance, as if someone had fallen from a high-rise building.

”What’s going on?” Zhao Chengshuang widened his eyes. He clearly saw someone fall from a high building in the orphanage.

Just as he finished speaking, a second person also fell from above. This made everyone even more puzzled. People wouldn’t just fall for no reason; could something have happened upstairs?

Ye Qing stood at the door without retreating; it was as if he knew everything in advance. Less than three minutes later, a person stood on the highest building, waved at Ye Qing from afar, and shouted, ”Mr. Ye, everything is settled!”

Ye Qing nodded at that person, then turned and walked into the room, saying to Zhao Chengshuang, ”Call an ambulance and also someone to come help.”

”There’s no signal here.” Zhao Chengshuang had forgotten that Ye Qing had destroyed the signal jammer, still thinking there was no signal around. However, as soon as he spoke, he suddenly remembered what Ye Qing had said earlier, hastily slapped his mouth, and hurriedly took out his phone to call an ambulance and get help.

”Mr. Ye, what about the remaining people?” Hou Jianshu looked at the people coming down from the distant building and heading out of Eryao Town, and asked in a low voice, ”Should we chase them?”

Ye Qing turned his head to glance, shook his head slowly, and said, ”Don’t chase desperate enemies, we don’t have enough manpower, plus the other side has guns, we mustn’t act recklessly!”

”Oh.” Hou Jianshu quickly stepped back, standing next to Zhao Chengshuang. In fact, he was just asking, he really didn’t dare to chase them.

As the deputy director of the city’s bureau, Zhao Chengshuang had considerable power. Combined with Su Kaicheng’s esteemed status, within ten minutes of Zhao Chengshuang making the call, the nearest hospital dispatched an ambulance, which rushed over to first carry the unconscious Su Kaicheng into it. The ambulance originally intended to drive straight to the hospital, but was stopped by Ye Qing, for fear that those mercenaries might be hiding nearby. If the ambulance left alone and encountered those mercenaries, it would be troublesome for Su Kaicheng.

Another five minutes passed, and a dozen police cars also came roaring in. The city bureau’s director personally led the team. Upon learning that Su Kaicheng had been ambushed and injured by foreign mercenaries here, he was deeply shocked and came over personally without a word.

Knowing that Su Kaicheng was not in life-threatening danger, the director breathed a sigh of relief and gave Zhao Chengshuang a commendation. As for Hou Jianshu, he rode on Zhao Chengshuang’s coattails and received some praise, which thrilled him and made him excited for his earlier decision to rush over and help.

As for those who had come back with Hou Jianshu but turned their car around to escape at the critical moment, there was no question; their police uniforms were immediately stripped off in disgust. In such circumstances, escaping meant more than just a violation; it was a serious dereliction of duty, warranting criminal punishment.

In fact, when those who had fled returned and saw that Hou Jianshu and others were unharmed and even received praise from the city bureau director, they regretted it. But there are no regrets in this world. They had chosen to escape, and now they had to accept the consequences. Being a police officer is certainly dangerous, but in critical moments, it depends on your choices. If you choose to retreat in the face of danger, you must bear the subsequent consequences, which you can’t escape.

Seeing the main force arrive, Ye Qing could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Zhao Chengshuang specifically dispatched six police cars to securely escort Su Kaicheng and his colleagues to the hospital for treatment. At the orphanage, a large number of police forces continued to arrive, sealing off the entire Eryao Town and conducting a thorough search to see if any had slipped through the net.

The Martial Artists upstairs also came down, and they had captured five people alive, bringing them down as well. As for the two who had fallen from the building, it happened because when the Martial Artists rushed there, those men fiercely resisted. When they attempted to shoot back, they were accidentally knocked off the building, which was considered self-defense by the Martial Artists, causing no trouble.

As soon as the suspects were brought down, interrogation began on this side, and they quickly obtained information about these people’s backgrounds. As Ye Qing had previously said, these were members of the Toxic Eel Mercenary Corps, who came to assassinate Ye Qing, Zhao Chengshuang, and Su Kaicheng as revenge for their members that had been killed earlier.

”Damn, it’s exactly like King of Explosives said!” Zhao Chengshuang exclaimed, ”The Toxic Eel Mercenary Corps really does seek revenge for every grievance. How long did it take before they immediately sent people to retaliate? By the way, Ye Zi, you said earlier they were with the Toxic Eel Mercenary Corps. How did you know?”

Ye Qing waved the bugging device in his hand and said, ”I intercepted their walkie-talkie channel and heard during their conversation that they were from the Toxic Eel Mercenary Corps!”

”So that’s it!” Zhao Chengshuang suddenly realized, then remarked gloomily, ”Hey, those mercenaries are really bold, causing trouble on our territory. Looks like we won’t have many peaceful days ahead!”
