Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing didn’t know that while he was out, so many things had happened outside, he had even strolled past the Ghost Gate Pass and made it back.

He had just returned to the city, when Ye Qing received a shocking message: Li Lianshan actually got a message from Old Wang Ba!

Ye Qing directly rushed to Li Lianshan’s office, and just as he entered, he loudly asked, ”Where is that old guy now!”

Li Lianshan was holding the phone, and upon hearing Ye Qing, he directly handed the phone to him, saying, ”You speak to him yourself.”

”Who is it?” Ye Qing was taken aback.

”Old Wang Ba!”

Ye Qing snatched the phone and shouted, ”Hey, old guy, where did you run off to? If you don’t come back soon, let me tell you, I’ll use my connections to put out a worldwide manhunt for you!”

”Get lost, Eighth Master is out here working his butt off for you, you should be grateful. Instead, you keep sending a bunch of cops to tail me. Good thing I’m quick on my feet, otherwise I’d have been dragged to the Northwest for reform by now. What are you planning every day, eh? How has Eighth Master ever wronged you? You tell me from the bottom of your heart.”

This voice, this tone, and this shameless vibe, it was unmistakably Old Wang Ba. It had been a long time since he’d heard this bastard’s voice, and now hearing it, Ye Qing even felt a bit nostalgic. But thinking of what this bastard had done, Ye Qing was seething with anger.

”You’re good to me? You’re good to me? You have the nerve to say you’re good to me?” Ye Qing angrily said, ”Do you know how many times you’ve screwed me over? I won’t even mention your past crimes that got you on the wanted list, but just these recent ones. You haven’t given me a straight answer about Zi Yu’s situation. Last time when I went to the Northern Li Family, you even sent some guy called Handsome Fatty Wang to mess with me. Pranking me is one thing, but what kind of person did you send? Even more shameless than you, look at the mess I’m in now, Prince Wan Yan and Northern Martial Zen are shouting daily to kill me. Are you on my side, or an enemy sent to mess with me?”

Li Lianshan was dumbfounded on the side, he had never seen Ye Qing this angry or speak so much. It seemed that Ye Qing really bore a deep grudge against Old Wang Ba.

Old Wang Ba sensed Ye Qing’s anger and quickly chuckled, ”Don’t say that, what is our relationship? How could I ever scam you? Rest assured, everything you’re going through is just a transition. Once you get through this, you’ll have everything you desire.”

”Stop with the nonsense, first tell me, where is Zi Yu right now!” Ye Qing demanded in a deep voice, ”You tell me where Zi Yu is immediately, and all our past grudge will be cleared. If you can’t find Zi Yu, don’t expect me to trust you!”

Old Wang Ba chuckled, ”A true man never lacks for a wife, you...”

”Shut up!” Ye Qing shouted, ”Hurry up and say, where exactly is Zi Yu!”

Old Wang Ba fell silent for a moment and said, ”Uh, are you sure, if I tell you Huangfu Ziyu’s whereabouts, you’ll listen to what I have to say?”

”I’m sure, as long as you tell where Zi Yu is, I’ll listen to whatever you have to say!” Ye Qing replied decisively.

”Alright then, seems I have no choice.” Old Wang Ba sighed and said, ”Ye Zi, listen carefully, Miss Huangfu’s whereabouts is a very secretive matter, I wouldn’t usually tell anyone. But, since you’re so persistent, I’ll tell you, listen carefully.”

”Stop stalling, hurry up and say it.” Ye Qing was extremely frustrated, why does Old Wang Ba talk in such broken rhythms?

”Huangfu Ziyu, she is now in...” Old Wang Ba paused and whispered, ”in the Meng District!”

”What!?” Ye Qing was taken aback and said, ”What Meng District? Where is that?”

”What do you think the Meng District is?” Old Wang Ba said, ”The General of Meng District, the General of Meng District, with such a resounding name, where do you think the Meng District is?”

Ye Qing immediately frowned, so to say, Huangfu Ziyu was on Helian Tiehua’s turf? Could it be that Helian Tiehua knows about Huangfu Ziyu’s whereabouts? Or, did Helian Tiehua capture Huangfu Ziyu?

This thought arose, but Ye Qing dismissed it immediately. He had met Helian Tiehua twice, and had a very good impression of him. Helian Tiehua, although very forceful, was also very straightforward and definitely a stand-up guy. With his character, he would never bully a weak person, let alone Huangfu Ziyu who is a scion of the Huangfu Household, it’s unlikely Helian Tiehua would go against her.

However, if it wasn’t Helian Tiehua who captured her, then what was Huangfu Ziyu doing in the Meng District? Why had she never contacted him? Plus, last time when Li Qianqiu said Huangfu Ziyu was fine, don’t worry too much, it seemed that Li Qianqiu also knew Huangfu Ziyu’s situation. So, it really seemed that Huangfu Ziyu could be in the Meng District. But, what exactly was she doing there?

Seeing Ye Qing silent, Old Wang Ba said, ”Hey, I answered your question, now can you listen to me for a few words?”

”How is this answering my question?” Ye Qing immediately protested, ”You only said Zi Yu is in the Meng District, but the Meng District is so big, where am I supposed to find her? At least give me a more specific location.”

Old Wang Ba said, ”Oh, don’t be so hasty. I’ve already told you part of it, so you should let me say a few words, right?”

Ye Qing was reluctant to listen to Old Wang Ba, but in order to find out about Huangfu Ziyu, he could only agree, ”Alright, go ahead.”

”Two things,” Old Wang Ba said. ”First, you need to go to Beijiang City right away to save someone.”

”Who?” Ye Qing asked suspiciously.

”You don’t need to worry about who it is specifically. Anyway, saving this person will only bring you benefits, no harm,” Old Wang Ba said. ”Beijiang City Dongwan Wharf, tomorrow night at eleven, the person you need to save will board a ship to leave. Just save them.”

”How can I trust what you’re saying? You’re not lying to me again, are you?” Ye Qing said in a deep voice. ”Trying to dupe me into going over there, only to have me save someone who might turn around and screw me over. Last time with Handsome Fatty Wang, I saved him on a plane, and that guy repaid kindness with ingratitude. Look at the trouble he caused me.”

”Relax, would I, the Eighth Master, be the type to always mess with you? If I’m asking you to do this, it surely benefits you!” Old Wang Ba replied.

”No way, I still can’t trust your words,” Ye Qing refused.

”Hey, what kind of person are you, ignoring oil and salt?” Old Wang Ba hurriedly said. ”Would the Eighth Master hurt you?”

”Yes!” Ye Qing replied straightforwardly.

”I...” Old Wang Ba was speechless for a moment, mumbling for a while before continuing, ”Alright, alright, I know we’ve had some misunderstandings before, which makes it hard for you to trust me now. But you should have faith in the Eighth Master’s character, you...”

”Do you have any character left to speak of?” Ye Qing directly interrupted Old Wang Ba. ”The wanted posters for you piled up outside are probably taller than you!”

”Don’t dwell on those details. One day, you’ll understand the far-reaching plans of the Eighth Master!” Old Wang Ba said. ”In short, let’s not waste words; you go save that person, and there will definitely be benefits for you later!”

”I won’t waste words either; I’m not going!” Ye Qing replied.

”Hey, are you growing a face on top of another?” Old Wang Ba angrily said. ”If you say you’re not going again, if you don’t go, do you believe that the Eighth Master can make you regret your decision in minutes?”

Ye Qing scoffed, thinking that Old Wang Ba, this old guy, was only good at scaring people and had no other skills.

”Alright, you don’t believe it, do you?” Old Wang Ba chuckled, ”Young Ye, how did I hear that the few imitation pieces made by Master Craft were all sent out by you? As for the genuine article, who knows where it really is?”

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. Could Old Wang Ba know that he had swapped out the genuine Gold Silk Armor with imitations? If this got out, it would be quite troublesome.

Ye Qing had managed with great effort to find Master Craft to make those imitations and then pulled off the swap to steal the genuine article. He even made people think Handsome Fatty Wang took the real one. That way, the attention of Wan Yan and others was all on Handsome Fatty Wang, giving Ye Qing some relief. If it became known now that he had the genuine article, he would be in big trouble, especially if Wan Yan decided to come after him with full force.

”The genuine article has always been with me!” Ye Qing replied, feigning calmness while trying to probe if Old Wang Ba really knew about the swap.

”I agree with this,” Old Wang Ba laughed. ”However, this matter, you know it, I know it, but no one else does. If this matter were to be exposed, wouldn’t you be in a lot of trouble?”

Ye Qing’s expression changed slightly; listening to Old Wang Ba’s tone, he was sure that the genuine article was with Ye Qing, hence his calmness. This old guy’s divination abilities are really something, able to figure even this out?

”What exactly do you want?” Ye Qing asked in frustration, knowing that with Old Wang Ba’s character, if he didn’t go save that person, Old Wang Ba would most likely spill the beans.

”It’s simple, you help me save that person, and I’ll pretend I know nothing about this matter,” Old Wang Ba laughed. ”Consider it a deal, how about that? You won’t disagree, right?”

”Who exactly are you asking me to save?” Ye Qing asked.

”You’ll know when you see them. Anyway, I wouldn’t set you up,” Old Wang Ba said. ”If you don’t say anything, I’ll take it as your agreement.”

Ye Qing gritted his teeth in frustration and said in a deep voice, ”Fine, I’ll help you save this person. But remember, you can only threaten me with this once. If you try this again, I’ll fight back tooth and nail and definitely won’t agree!”
