Urban Martial Saint

Lin Tianyou chuckled lightly and said, ”Ye brothers, you should know that the human body doesn’t only fall ill in one way. In fact, many times the uncomfortable symptoms are the result of multiple ailments presenting together. For example, some severe psychiatric patients experience hallucinations and attack any nearby person or creature. Now, if these psychiatric patients also suffer from bloodlust, then there’s a high probability they’ll display such symptoms!”

Ye Qing suddenly understood, feeling a wave of emotion in his heart. His own half-baked skills were truly no match for those of a professional doctor. Lin Tianyou indeed lived up to the title of Divine Doctor; his thoughts were much more encompassing than his own. Looking back, teaching him the contents of the Acupoint Seeking Technique was indeed the right choice.

At this moment, Ye Qing had an idea formulating in his mind and was pondering if he should totally entrust the Acupoint Seeking Technique to Lin Tianyou when he returned. This book had little use in Ye Qing’s hands, but in Lin Tianyou’s, it could definitely be used to its fullest potential.

Of course, this was merely a thought. It wasn’t that Ye Qing was unwilling to hand the book over to Lin Tianyou, but the key problem was whether Lin Tianyou could keep the book safe once he had it. As the saying goes, a man without intention is innocent, but once he holds jade, it becomes a crime. Lin Tianyou holding this book might cause unnecessary trouble, which is something Ye Qing didn’t want to see happen.

Outside, the people watched as Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou stood at the door of the sealed chamber, and everyone’s heart hung in suspense. Especially Li Yanwu and his soldiers stationed nearby, who had previously witnessed firsthand how these patients tore into living beings, and they still felt lingering fear. Although Ye Qing had displayed overwhelming strength earlier, no one could be certain if Ye Qing could really control the patient.

”Will close observation help?” a doctor asked in a low voice.

”Who knows, if they want to try, let them. This is a biochemical weapons attack, usually altering body tissue or genes, which requires human analysis. You can’t just see the results with the naked eye. I think these two doctors are probably half-baked and really think it’s like the days of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s observation, listening, questioning, and feeling?”

The doctor speaking was the one who previously advocated using live specimens, and Ye Qing had denied his approach, which left him dissatisfied with Ye Qing. Seeing Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou go inside, he naturally had no kind words and wished to belittle both of them.

Another doctor hurriedly said, ”That’s right, in such cases, it’s best to use a live specimen for research. Alas, I really don’t understand what these people are thinking, do they want to make a big mess of things?”

”Hmph, let’s not say too much, let’s just see how they both end up when this blows up!” The doctor sneered, convinced that Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou would surely suffer losses inside.

Liu Cheng stood next to Su Kaicheng, coldly smiling as he watched Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou waiting at the door. In a low voice, he said, ”Little Su, do you think they can come out alive?”

Su Kaicheng frowned slightly and didn’t follow up on Liu Cheng’s remark. He wasn’t that familiar with Lin Tianyou, but he had a lot of faith in Ye Qing. He knew Ye Qing could surely handle the situation, which is why he agreed to let Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou go in.

”Not speaking, does that mean you don’t have confidence in them either?” Liu Cheng sneered and said, ”Little Su, I asked you to find renowned doctors to help, and you brought back two reckless people. They’re doing more harm than good!”

Just then, Li Yanwu called out loudly, ”Ready?”

Ye Qing gestured a thumbs-up to Li Yanwu, who nodded and said, ”Okay, open the door!”

The patient inside seemed to know the door was going to open and was already crouched by the door waiting, looking very ferocious. Blood was still on his lips, giving him the appearance of an Evil Ghost, lending an indescribable sense of fear.

Originally, everyone’s hearts were pounding wildly, and now as Li Yanwu shouted ”open the door,” many shivered. Even more people were closely watching inside, eager to see how Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou would embarrass themselves.

As they watched the door slowly open, the patient inside even let out a series of beast-like roars, his hands incessantly clawing at the door, looking like he was impossible to restrain, making the scene even more terrifying.

Ye Qing stood in front of Lin Tianyou, and as the door opened to about half a foot wide, Ye Qing suddenly extended his right hand and directly grabbed the neck of the patient inside, lifting him completely off the ground.

The patient, caught by Ye Qing, immediately began to struggle frantically, his hands clawing at Ye Qing’s arm while trying to bite him. However, Ye Qing held tight to his neck, rendering his mouth unable to reach Ye Qing. The clawing was completely ineffective against Ye Qing.

Seeing this, Su Kaicheng breathed a long sigh of relief. As long as Ye Qing could control the patient, there wouldn’t be any big incidents, which was a relief.

The others cried out in amazement, as no one expected Ye Qing to control the patient with just one hand. Especially Li Yanwu and his warriors, who were well aware of the strength of these patients; usually, it took four or five warriors to hold them down, yet Ye Qing managed with just one hand. His strength was indeed astonishing!

Finally, the door fully opened, and Ye Qing rushed into the room holding the patient’s neck, pinning him against the wall. Simultaneously, his other hand swiftly pressed several points on the patient’s body, sealing a few major acupoints, causing the patient to collapse.

”What happened? What happened?” Li Yanwu shouted in astonishment as he watched the patient slowly slump to the ground, and others also widened their eyes.

”Did he kill that patient?” a doctor asked curiously.

Liu Cheng immediately perked up and said in a deep voice, ”Didn’t he just say not to kill anyone? And now, he’s killed someone personally? Hmph, is this his so-called concern for human rights?”

”Liu Cheng, calm down, will you!” Su Kaicheng said impatiently, ”Ye Qing just pressed a few points on him; it’s not that easy to kill someone that way!”

As Su Kaicheng had said, although the patient was limp on the ground, his hands would occasionally twitch a bit, proving he was still alive. However, with several of his major acupoints sealed, he had no strength left and couldn’t stand up at all.

Ye Qing let out a long breath of relief; he was worried that the acupoint pressing would be of no use on this patient, but unexpectedly it worked. It seemed these patients’ bodies hadn’t changed too drastically.

Seeing Ye Qing had the patient under control, Lin Tianyou immediately walked over, took out the tools he carried with him, and began to carefully examine the patient’s condition.

Ye Qing stood by, also closely observing the patient, and was really surprised to find that the patient exhibited many symptoms that were indeed similar to those described in the Acupoint Seeking Technique for blood disease.

Blood disease was also an extremely rare condition recorded in the Acupoint Seeking Technique, rarely occurring, but once it did, it was dangerous. This disease resulted from certain deficiencies in the human body’s functions, necessitating the intake of fresh blood to meet its needs. However, people with this disease were conscious, and so it was just considered a condition without being deemed particularly strange.

Divine Doctor An Shiping had visited several such patients and discovered the main causes of their outbreaks, then wrote down a treatment method that Ye Qing still remembered. In fact, treating this disease was quite simple, needing just a few bags of traditional Chinese medicine. However, few people knew this prescription in the world now.

Lin Tianyou had been examining for over half an hour when he finally stood up and spoke in a low voice, ”It really is blood disease, but their nervous systems have also been controlled by drugs, causing them to lose their minds.”

”Is there any treatment method?” Ye Qing quickly asked.

”First, we need to control their blood disease,” Lin Tianyou glanced at Ye Qing and said, ”The prescription you told me earlier should be able to control their blood disease. As long as the blood disease is controlled, they’d basically become regular mental patients. However, this mental disease is also easily treatable once the drug control is lifted. For this, a pharmacology expert would need to formulate the medication.”

”So, we can find an antidote?” Ye Qing said happily.

”Almost,” Lin Tianyou said, ”Mixing the two kinds of medicine together can completely cure this disease.”

”That’s great!” Ye Qing was overjoyed, quickly stood up, and waved to signal the people outside to open the door and let them out.

Li Yanwu, watching Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou talking inside but not knowing what they were discussing, grew anxious and wondered why they weren’t coming out to talk. Now, seeing Ye Qing waving, he immediately instructed the nearby person, ”Open the door, quickly open it!”

The warrior hastily ran over, pressed the door-opening key, and the room door slowly opened again.

Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou walked out of the room, and the warrior quickly closed the door again, indeed worried the patient might come out again.

”Don’t worry, he won’t regain his strength for at least six hours!” Ye Qing smiled and reassured the warrior.

The warrior looked slightly embarrassed, but Li Yanwu didn’t mind this, just looked anxiously at Lin Tianyou and asked, ”Doctor Lin, have you... have you found out their cause of illness?”

”Should be more or less,” Lin Tianyou nodded and said, ”I’ll first write down a prescription and decoct a dose for him to try. If it can be controlled, then we’ll continue with the follow-up treatment!”

”Does this treatment require multiple phases?” Li Yanwu asked in surprise.

”Is this method even effective?” Liu Cheng frowned and said, ”Isn’t this using people to test medicine, what’s the difference from using people as experimental samples?”
