Urban Martial Saint

The onlookers thought Da Fei’s punch would have no effect, but unexpectedly, it turned into such a dramatic scene. Watching the monk clutching his groin, head bowed on the ground in extreme pain, everyone finally couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Leaving aside how painful this punch might be, just the monk’s current appearance was embarrassing enough to bring shame to his ancestors.

The other two monks were so angry that their faces turned green, and one of them indignantly said, ”Despicable!”

”Oh dear, you can’t blame our brother Fei for that, only that you weren’t standing on level ground.” Hou San immediately laughed, ”If you feel this punch doesn’t count, then how about we have another try?”

Before the monk could speak, the monk who got punched quickly said, ”It counts, this... this punch happened, let’s wipe out the previous issue...”

This monk was really in unbearable pain, and upon hearing another punch was on the table, he nearly collapsed and immediately opposed it.

”Does it really count?” Hou San laughed, ”I see your fellow monk brothers don’t seem too willing? If you think our punch was too underhanded, we can apologize. But, it’s not Brother Fei’s fault, only that the floor was uneven. Apologize and we’ll have a rematch, I assure you, there definitely won’t be such a mistake next time!”

”No need, no need, this punch... this punch counts, this punch counts...” The monk shook his head and waved his hand, unwilling to take a second punch at all costs.

”Are you sure it counts? Are you really sure?” Hou San laughed, ”Master, if this punch counts, I fear it might not be good for your reputation spread around. Think about it, this punch’s location, if it spreads around, won’t people laugh?”

”Damn!” Qin Jing cursed under his breath, and a few people nearby couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Hou San really was twisting the knife, rubbing salt into the monk’s wound.

The monk was nearly driven mad with anger, but this kind of situation, he could only swallow the insult in silence. No matter how embarrassing, he wasn’t willing to take a second punch. If it missed again, it might as well render him a eunuch.

”Mr. Ye, you’ve landed your punch, and the previous matters are... wiped clean.” The monk grit his teeth and said, ”Tomorrow night, I hope Mr. Ye won’t be late.”

”Don’t worry, Mr. Ye certainly won’t be late!” Ye Qing replied loudly.

The monk nodded, gave Da Fei a resentful glance, then turned and left limping with the other two monks. He tried hard to pretend it didn’t hurt, but such an attack, how could it possibly not hurt?

Watching the monk walk away limping, Ye Qing’s group laughed once again, even Da Fei was full of pride. Although this punch landed in a very cunning spot, to be honest, it was damn satisfying!

”Brother Fei, well done!” With the monks far away, Hou San immediately rushed over to drape his arm over Da Fei’s shoulder, saying, ”How did you come up with this move? A punch to that fool’s family jewels, you have no idea, the monk’s facial veins bulged out at the time.”

”Not just that, I saw his calves trembling in pain. Didn’t you see? He was limping just now while walking.”

”In this situation, it’s not about whether it hurts or not, it’s about losing face. I bet that monk has never lost so much face in his life.”

Everyone was chattering away excitedly, each telling how they felt. Da Fei was jubilantly recounting how he tripped and incidentally landed such a critical punch.

Ye Qing stood beside them, watching with a subtle smile. In fact, even Da Fei didn’t know the real cause of this event; only Ye Qing knew exactly what had happened.

When Da Fei went to strike, Ye Qing had already calculated the position in his mind. Just as Da Fei was about to strike, Ye Qing subtly tossed a small pebble unnoticed, hitting the crook of Da Fei’s leg. It was this surprise attack that made Da Fei step forward and accidentally trip, landing a punch on the monk’s vital area, venting his frustration.

Although this grudge was settled, for Ye Qing, the real trouble was only beginning. The Supreme Protector of Brahmanism, the Purple-robed Lama, had arrived, undoubtedly for the prior grievance between Ye Qing and the Brahmanism. Meeting the Purple-robed Lama tomorrow night was the real big problem. Based on Ye Qing’s strength alone, he was insignificant in front of the Purple-robed Lama. If there were a fight, Ye Qing wouldn’t stand a chance.

Moreover, the most troublesome thing now was that this Purple-robed Lama was a master as good as the Five Uniques, with acme strength. In this world, other than a few people, practically no one was his match. Take the present Shenchuan City; only the Great General Helian Tiehua could compare with him. But would Great General Helian Tiehua help Ye Qing in this matter? Would he confront the Purple-robed Lama for Ye Qing’s sake?

One must know, now the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance were at their crisis point. The Twelve Green Halls were filled with experts, while the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance had only Helian Tiehua holding the fort. In such a circumstance, Helian Tiehua would definitely try every way to pull in support for the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance instead of going out to make enemies. Hence, in such circumstance, Helian Tiehua definitely wouldn’t go against the Purple-robed Lama, leaving Ye Qing to face the Purple-robed Lama alone. Regardless of the outcome, at least, in terms of strength, Ye Qing was already far behind his opponent. And in this society, power speaks volumes!

Da Fei and the others were unaware of the Purple Robe Lama’s strength, so they were not as worried as Ye Qing. Ye Qing did not mention this matter to them and returned upstairs to his room alone. Before tomorrow night, Ye Qing did not intend to go anywhere; he planned to rest in the room and prepare for the meeting with the Purple Robe Lama tomorrow night.

In the western suburbs of Shenchuan City, there was a large manor originally used as a casino by a local gang leader. Later, this leader lost in a battle with Li Lianshan, and the manor became Li Lianshan’s property. However, after Ye Qing led everyone to retreat to the Eastern Suburb of Shenchuan City, these venues were handed over. Now, this manor has become the headquarters for the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance in Shenchuan City, and its most critical members reside here.

After the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance arrived here, they specially reinforced the manor; the walls were raised significantly. Moreover, from the entrance, one could see that the security inside the manor was extremely strict. Especially after Great General Helian Tiehua arrived, the entire manor was replaced with Helian Tiehua’s trusted subordinates, and the security and patrols were greatly strengthened. Anyone wishing to sneak into this manor was absolutely impossible.

At noon, a car suddenly rushed to the manor’s entrance, and as it just stopped, Li Qianqiu jumped out of the car and hurriedly ran inside the manor.

”Young Master! Young Master!” Several guards at the entrance hurried over and with difficulty managed to stop him.

”What is it?” Li Qianqiu frowned slightly and said, ”I have an urgent matter to find my master, and whatever you have to say, we can discuss later!”

”Can’t do, Young Master.” A guard said anxiously, ”This is an oral order from the Great General, which we must convey to you.”

”What is it?” Li Qianqiu asked curiously.

The guard said, ”The Great General said that he is going to engage in a closed-door martial arts training for the next two days, so he won’t see anyone during this period. Young Master, the Great General specifically instructed that even you are not allowed in!”

”What?” Li Qianqiu was taken aback, with a bewildered expression; how could Helian Tiehua decide to engage in closed-door practice at this time?

”The Great General said if you have any matters, discuss them after he finishes training. This martial arts practice is critical.” The guard said, ”So, Young Master, apologies, but it might be inconvenient for you to enter during these two days.”

Li Qianqiu glanced at the guards, frowned slightly, and said in a steady voice, ”When did Master say this?”

”The order was passed down not long ago, probably Young Master you haven’t received the message yet.” The guard said, ”It seems like the Great General made a last-minute decision; thus, not many people were informed, and we just received this information.”

”Who passed down the order?” Li Qianqiu asked.

The guard replied, ”It was Chen Wuye; he personally came to explain this matter.”

Li Qianqiu knew this Chen Wuye was a strategist around Helian Tiehua, also one of Helian Tiehua’s most trusted aides. He didn’t question the guards further; instead, he took out his phone and called Chen Wuye to inquire about it.

”Indeed, your master just went into closed-door practice.” Chen Wuye said, ”If you have any matters, you can tell me first. If it’s indeed crucial, you can discuss them with your master after he finishes training.”

Li Qianqiu silently pondered for a moment, then whispered, ”Is Master really practicing or avoiding something?”

On the other end of the phone, Chen Wuye was silent for a moment and whispered back, ”What do you think?”

Chen Wuye’s non-denial further confirmed Li Qianqiu’s own suspicions.

”The Purple Robe Lama will be entering Shenchuan City tomorrow night; then he will undoubtedly seek out Ye Qing. With the Purple Robe Lama’s strength, if Master doesn’t step in to help Ye Qing, then Ye Qing is doomed!” Li Qianqiu said.

”Whether Ye Qing lives or dies, what does it have to do with the Seven Steering Committees of our Hong Alliance?” Chen Wuye said, ”He’s not from the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance.”

”But he is still my friend after all.” Li Qianqiu said, ”We can’t ignore this matter.”

”Qianqiu, I know your character; when you acknowledge a friend, you devote yourself completely. But let me give you some advice: with your character, it’s hard to achieve great things!” Chen Wuye said softly, ”That Ye Qing acts too impulsively and has made too many enemies. Such people are destined not to have friends. If you want to be his friend, you are faced with the risk of bearing the dangers from those enemies on his behalf; is it worth it?”
