The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1547: Chapter 1547: Related to Her Again?

Daoist Nun Qiu sighed, ”Their idea is indeed related to you.”

Shu Yu widened her eyes, ”What does it have to do with me? I rarely come to Dongqing Temple.”

”Yes, but you helped Benefactor Miao move his sister’s longevity lamp under the seat of the patriarch.”

Shu Yu, ”...” Huh?

Daoist Nun Qiu could only explain to her, ”You also know that moving the longevity lamp under the seat of the patriarch is a very significant matter. Without the temple master’s permission, we can’t make such decisions. But Benefactor Miao’s sister managed to do it, and Benefactor Miao to express its importance, specially held a large ritual, which attracted many people to come and watch.”

As a result, quite a few people had the same idea and came to find Daoist Nun Qiu to talk.

Daoist Nun Qiu naturally couldn’t make exceptions, only saying it was the temple Master’s agreement. To move the longevity lamp, it must first be approved by the temple master.

In Dongqing Temple, most pilgrims did not dare to persistently pester, and ultimately could only give up.

”No one knows what Benefactor Miao told him, but he insists that the temple master returned. When I said the temple master wrote back instructions, he didn’t believe it.”

Shu Yu, ”...” So Hao Dingshan looked for Old Master Miao before coming to Dongqing Temple?

However, Shu Yu was certain that Old Master Miao didn’t tell them this matter involved her.

They had an agreement not to reveal their transaction to strangers, especially since it was soon to reach the one-year term before the property transfer on the black market. He also didn’t want any complications at this time.

Wei Ronghua was an exception, after all, he was introduced by Old Master Miao.

Old Master Miao wouldn’t disclose their relationship, so he must have made up something himself. Most likely... he made up that his sincere intentions moved the Dongqing Temple master. Especially since he’s now closed the brothel and can only hole up in a nearby small county town doing small business, this is direct sincerity at its best. It’s convincingly persuasive on looking.

Thinking of this, Shu Yu fell silent.

Hao Dingshan must have thought Old Master Miao met the Dongqing Temple master; otherwise, how could such a vast family property be abandoned so easily. It couldn’t have been arranged just by back-and-forth communication with the Dongqing Temple master, right? The temple’s Daoist nun had said the temple master’s whereabouts are uncertain, how could communication explain such a major issue?

Nevertheless, Old Master Miao hadn’t left Dongan Province in recent months, his movements have been traceable, so it could only be because the Dongqing Temple master returned.

Thinking this matter was somewhat related to herself, Shu Yu felt inexplicably guilty.

She hurriedly changed the subject, ”Senior Sister Qiu, did those pestering people ever say what they wanted to find the master for?”

”They didn’t say, only claiming it was a life-or-death matter needing to meet the temple master.”

Shu Yu curled her lips, what kind of life-or-death matter was it, still trying to morally coerce?

She said to Senior Sister Qiu, ”I’ll go take a look at that person.”

To say look, naturally it wouldn’t be openly and honestly; she was familiar with the dining hall, knew there was a high window in the adjacent kitchen where one could view the dining hall layout clearly.

She climbed up on a stool to look; this time the dining hall was more than half full.

Although it was still early, many pilgrims specially came to the temple to have meals, then return before dark.

A person sitting in the corner wasn’t eating or drinking, standing out and attracting more attention.

Shu Yu looked twice, finding that person differed from Xiao Family’s description of Hao Dingshan.

It seems this person must have been pushed to the forefront by Hao Dingshan to divert attention.
