The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1510: Chapter 1510: Wei Ronghua Is Fired

As expected, just as Shu Yu finished speaking, Boss Ge over there had already raised his voice.

”Wei Ronghua, as a shopkeeper, the most important thing is to earnestly complete the tasks entrusted by the boss. Instead of acting on your own accord because you think it’s good? Go ask around, is there any shopkeeper out there who completely disregards the boss like you do?”

Boss Ge said, turning to look at the crowd of onlookers at the door, and continued, ”Aren’t you just relying on the fact that my father valued you before, so you don’t take me seriously? You don’t listen to what I say, you don’t follow the decisions I make; such a shopkeeper, I really cannot afford to employ.”

How could Wei Ronghua not understand what this boss intended?

He slightly lowered himself, and spoke loudly, ”If the boss wants to dismiss me, just say so; why bother making all sorts of excuses to ruin my reputation in front of everyone? We can part on good terms, and I won’t cling to it.”

Boss Ge’s expression changed slightly, getting furious upon having his plan exposed, ”Where am I wrong in what I said? Do you dare say you’ve carried out everything as I’ve instructed? You’re a shopkeeper, I’m the boss. If every family had a shopkeeper like you who doesn’t listen to the boss, am I hiring a shopkeeper or a master?”

Wei Ronghua took a deep breath, ”I am a shopkeeper, so I have the responsibility to advise when the boss makes inappropriate decisions.”

”What do you mean by inappropriate decisions? This shop is mine, whether it loses or makes money is my business, am I not more concerned than you? Enough, you don’t need to say more, in short, you indeed haven’t taken my words to heart, someone like you, I cannot afford to employ.”

He didn’t give Wei Ronghua a chance to speak at all, probably knowing that he was no match for Wei Ronghua, and if he let him argue further, he might suffer.

So he directly took out a piece of paper, ”This is the dismissal contract; initially, you signed it with my father, now that he’s passed away, you didn’t re-sign with me. Your role as the shopkeeper of this Red Cake ends today.”

Wei Ronghua glanced at the contract in his hand and, upon hearing him mention his father, ultimately didn’t say more.

He wasn’t without reason to retort; he could even bite a piece out of this not-so-smart new boss.

But back in the day, when Old Master Miao forced him to the point where he couldn’t stay in the prefecture, he arrived embarrassed in Donggu County with his daughter, and it was the old boss who extended a hand, making him the shopkeeper of this Red Cake, offering generous wages.

Because of this, Wei Ronghua wouldn’t ruin Red Cake at this critical moment, it was the old boss’s handiwork.

Moreover, hadn’t he anticipated this day long ago?

After the old boss passed away, he had considered the matter of re-signing the contract. He just had a gut feeling that the new boss would likely not accommodate him; by then, the contract might instead become a shackle.

It wasn’t as if he hadn’t made efforts, pushing Furong Cake was one of them, but evidently, it did not change the new boss’s decision.

Wei Ronghua took a deep breath, received the contract, looked at its contents, and found nothing amiss. It seems the new boss did not want to entangle with him further either.

He straightforwardly signed his name, pressing his fingerprint.

Boss Ge visibly sighed in relief, took a money pouch from the hand of the servant behind him, ”This is your wages for this period, I haven’t wronged you, take it and leave quickly.”
