The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1522: Chapter 1522: Couples on the Mid-Autumn Festival

But even though the house was beautiful, after dinner, the old lady still nudged a few young couples to go out.

The county town was lively, and young people should go out and take a walk, take advantage of the rare chance to be alone with each other.

In this aspect, the old lady was quite open-minded and had her ideas.

Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng, Lanhua and Yu Fenglin, Daniu and Zhou Qiao, Little Zaozao didn’t need to go out; she was too young, and with so many people outside, it wouldn’t be good if something happened, anyway, there was enough for her to play with at home.

Shuyou didn’t go out either, her belly was too big, in crowded places, she might get bumped.

Anyway, there were lanterns at home to watch, so Zhao Xi accompanied her for a slow walk along the porch.

But Third Lu and Madam Liang, after murmuring a couple of words, sneaked out to have a look. They sneaked out so discreetly, leaving even Dabao and Baoya behind.

When the old lady found out, she almost wanted to chase after them with a feather duster to give them a good whack.

Lu Dasong and Madam Li stayed at home to take care of Little Zaozao. With a little granddaughter, they were very content, not bothered at all about going out.

The other kids, apart from Erniu, Dabao, and Shurui, who were a bit older and went out to find their friends and classmates, all the others stayed at home.

Meng Han didn’t go out either. She liked these little kids, plus, these were all adorned by her hands. Seeing these kids’ delight brought her immense satisfaction.

This year’s Mid-Autumn, inside and outside the house was a scene of harmony.

Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng found a quiet place and strolled leisurely. Occasionally looking up, they could see the bright moonlight in the sky, making it feel as though the world only belonged to them.

Even without talking, it was relaxed and free.

”Right...”

”I think...”

After a long silence, they suddenly spoke at the same time and both froze for a moment.

Meng Yunzheng, with a smile, took her hand, ”You go first.”

”I think you seem to have grown a little taller recently.”

Meng Yunzheng chuckled, ”You noticed that?”

Shu Yu widened her eyes, ”Really taller? You’re already in your twenties, and you can still grow?”

Meng Yunzheng, ”...”

Shu Yu, ”I’m only sixteen, but I seem not to have grown at all this year.”

Meng Yunzheng touched her head, ”I think this is just right.” Shu Yu was 1.67 meters tall. In those days, people’s height was generally not very high; Shu Yu stood out in a crowd.

Shu Yu was actually quite satisfied with her height, but if Meng Yunzheng continued to grow, kissing might get a bit awkward... pfft, what was she thinking?

In public, be more reserved.

Shu Yu took a deep breath, ”By the way, what did you want to say earlier?”

Meng Yunzheng frowned, feeling that her expression had been a bit strange, and the topic change was too abrupt.

Shu Yu felt a bit guilty under his gaze and touched her face, ”What’s wrong? Can’t say?” Did he find out her indecent thoughts?

”No, I just wanted to say that it’ll be October soon.” The two continued walking onward, and when they reached a place with no one around, he naturally held her hand again.

”Hmm, what’s up?”

”At the beginning of October, the house deed and land deed for that estate on the black market can be transferred, and by then, the house will start repairing. What kind of style do you want our room to be?”

Our... room?

Shu Yu couldn’t help but choke a little.

Meng Yunzheng stopped, turned to look at her, and asked with a suppressed smile, ”What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?”
