The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Capítulo 1509: Chapter 1509: The Boss of Red Cake Has Arrived

Since Shu Yu wanted to recruit someone, it wouldn’t be good to directly talk to Wei Ronghua about it in someone else’s shop. It would be better to go to his house and chat privately.

She had already inquired and found out that Wei Ronghua’s house was not far from the Red Cake shop, and he had a daughter about twelve or thirteen years old at home.

She intended to first meet Wei Ronghua’s daughter and ask her to call him back.

Shu Yu had it planned well, but just as she walked out of the shop not far, three people came towards her angrily.

Leading them was a man of about twenty-five or six, dressed in luxurious robes, but his face was very unpleasant.

He was walking quickly and almost bumped into Shu Yu as he passed by.

Ying Xi, without even caring about eating his cake, angrily said, “Does this person not watch where he’s going?”

The man obviously didn’t hear it, and Shu Yu didn’t mind, since they didn’t actually collide.

She was about to continue walking when she heard that Grandson Feng’s flattering voice from behind, “Boss, you’ve arrived.”

Shu Yu stopped in her tracks, squinted her eyes slightly, and turned around, indeed seeing that the man had already strode into the Red Cake shop.

Ying Xi was also stunned, “Miss, that person seems to be the new boss of Manager Wei. From his demeanor, he doesn’t seem friendly.”

Shu Yu agreed, thinking that this new boss seemed to be coming to cause trouble.

She turned on her heel, “Let’s go, let’s take a look.”

The two of them returned to the Red Cake shop, and just as they reached the door, they heard the new boss angrily questioning, “Wei Ronghua, what do you mean by this? Are you treating my words as if they are wind passing by your ears? I’ve told you, the direction of our shop has changed, it’s not the same as before, and as the manager, your job is to execute my words, not to act on your own and receive anyone you please.”

Wei Ronghua came out from behind the counter, his expression unchanged, only glancing at the smug Grandson Feng.

He spoke calmly, “I don’t know what the boss is talking about.”

“Don’t play dumb with me here. I’ve mentioned that the pricing for the Furong Cake should be fifty coins, haven’t I? And yesterday, did a mother and daughter come by, and you told them it was thirty coins? What, are you going to make up for the losses in the shop? And who gave them permission to try the Furong Cake? You cut off two pieces in one go, which equals half a Furong Cake, costing 25 coins. Do you really take this shop as your own where you say whatever goes?”

Wei Ronghua frowned slightly, “Boss, we are still discussing the pricing for the Furong Cake, and I have always disagreed with raising it to fifty coins. This issue hasn’t been finalized, and other customers have been charged thirty coins. Moreover, the testing of the cakes has always been a regular policy of the shop. There’s no reason for a guest to come and not…”

Before he could finish, the boss waved his hand dismissively, “Shut up, at this crucial moment, you’re still arguing here. Do you even realize what you did wrong?”

Wei Ronghua pressed his lips together. By now, many people had gathered at the door, having heard the commotion.

Shu Yu and Ying Xi were among the crowd, and Ying Xi whispered, “Miss, shouldn’t this kind of thing be discussed in private behind closed doors? Doing this in front of so many people is very inappropriate.”

Shu Yu chuckled, “I think this Boss Ge is doing it on purpose. Didn’t you notice that as more people gathered, he told Wei Ronghua to shut up, avoiding the discussion on pricing? Thirty coins, fifty coins, he’s just using it as an excuse, a pretext. Just listen and see, soon he’ll start pointing out some other faults of Wei Ronghua.”
