The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1269: Chapter 1269: Mutual Understanding Between Master and Disciple

Daoist Nun Qiu shook her head, “As long as you get the temple master’s consent.”

Shu Yu, “…” Master is being so willful.

“So Master disagrees mainly because what Old Master Miao has done is not considered righteous?”

“That’s what the temple master said.”

Shu Yu frowned, “Didn’t Master take this opportunity to make Old Master Miao do more good deeds, so that there would be a chance to transfer his sister over?”

Daoist Nun Qiu was silent for a while, with a somewhat complicated expression, “There aren’t many who can meet the temple master…”

Shu Yu was taken aback, oh right, her master had always been spoken of as being at a high level, even seeing emperors and regarded as high guests, not just anyone could meet Master.

Even she, as a disciple, hadn’t seen Master many times, thinking about it made her feel rather sad.

“So, you mean to say, Old Master Miao has been coming to the temple every month for so many years, yet has never met Master once?”

Daoist Nun Qiu nodded.

For a moment, Shu Yu didn’t know whether to admire Old Master Miao or her own master.

She started pondering in her mind about whether the longevity lamp of Old Master Miao’s sister could be moved to the seat under the patriarch. Shu Yu didn’t dare to guarantee or decide this.

However, in the future, when Master returns, helping Old Master Miao to meet Master just once should still be possible, right?

Under such conditions, negotiating for Old Master Miao to buy the black market and then sell it to them was still open for discussion.

She lifted her eyes to look at Daoist Nun Qiu, who inexplicably felt a sense of unease.

Sure enough, Shu Yu suddenly burst into a big smile, hooking one arm around Daoist Nun Qiu’s arm.

“Senior Sister Qiu…”

Her voice carried a winding tone, Daoist Nun Qiu couldn’t help but shiver, even changed the address, “Benefactor Lu, please let go first.”

“It’s like this, Senior Sister Qiu, I want to ask Old Master Miao for help with something.” Seeing Daoist Nun Qiu look over in disbelief, as if she was from a proper family asking someone like Old Master Miao for help, as if doing something unethical.

Shu Yu quickly said, “Don’t worry, I’m definitely not doing anything evil. You know me, if I did anything against the heavens, Master wouldn’t spare me, right? You can be assured of that.”

“Really?”

“Of course.” Shu Yu nodded affirmatively, “Look at my face, it shows I’m a kind girl, right?”

Daoist Nun Qiu, “…”

“So Senior Sister Qiu, I’m asking Old Master Miao for help to make things easier for myself and also to reduce his sins. But I don’t know Old Master Miao, asking him for help would surely result in him opposing me. So before seeking his help, I need you, Senior Sister Qiu, to help me with one thing.”

Daoist Nun Qiu was almost dizzy from her words, it took a while for her to say, “What help?”

“If I bring Old Master Miao to the temple later, Senior Sister Qiu, will you help confirm that the Dongqing Temple master is my master, and also the master who cherishes me very much?”

Daoist Nun Qiu frowned, she wasn’t dull-witted and quickly realized what Shu Yu intended, “You want to act first and report later, allowing Old Master Miao to meet the temple master?”

“Senior Sister Qiu, I’m inheriting my master’s fine qualities.”

“What qualities?”

“When Master informed the Shu family that I wasn’t a daughter of the Shu family, it was also by acting first and reporting later.” Although now Shu Yu understands there must have been a reason for the Dongqing temple master’s actions.

But it didn’t prevent the fact that she did act first and report later.

Shu Yu has reasons for what she’s doing now too.

A master and disciple should mutually understand each other.
